If Oliver makes the League of Assassins the League of Justice I'm going to give the writers so much props. Would take a lot of courage to do that.

This essentially kills Arrow as a show tho.

He doesn't have to do anything ever again, he can send the old assassins to be the police of the world

Oliver has no business leading anything immediately after accepting the offer. It should take years of one-on-one training with Ra's al Ghul before he can be ready for that position.

Posted this in Flash topic, haven't seen it before so I think it's new:

Soooooooooo...posted yet?

MASSIVE SPOILER BEHIND THE SCENES PICTURE: (Not kidding) SPOILS BOTH ARROW/FLASH LAST FEW EPISODES!

Why did I click?! I always do this...see you guys later.

Maybe he ran away from training because something big happened in central/starling city. I believe Ra's al Ghul has a different set of clothes.

Not at all.

They're clearly normal League clothes. They can spend a season or part of a season dealing with him training to "become Ra's Al Ghul" (and something would then of course happen where he doesn't ultimately). Even if he did "become Ra's Al Ghul" for a while, that's an interesting position for him to be in and some sort of drama could definitely be mined from it. He doesn't always need to be the Green Arrow, just so long as he ultimately ends up as that. He can take breaks from it though in order for interesting developments to happen both with his character and the world around him. He probably should have stayed dead for an episode or two longer, for example.

Oh hell no. Not clicking.

Caught up with last episode. It was great, although I'd wish they'd had more people in the Suicide Squad. Also, killing off Deadshot better not be part of some BS embargo.

It's a comic book show. There's no way Deadshot is dead. And even if he was, they could always contrive a way to bring him back.

What, just because he's going to be in a movie? Why then did they even start The Flash when they knew they were doing a movie a couple years down the line?

I don't propose to know the thinking behind WB, but we've lived through years of a Batman embargo. The Flash just might've lucked out and managed to squeak by before they solidified their movie plans.

Man, Roy reached Yamcha status with Team Arrow just leaving his worthless ass, dude was probably in a coma while Diggle and Olly toasted for Deadshot.

The fandom's response (outside of this thread) to Ray has been so hostile.

A lot of them are so invested in Olicity that anything that comes in between them gets immediately shit upon. It honestly makes me lean towards abandoning the show.
You're contemplating abandoning the show because of ... fan reaction?

To relationship drama?

I ... wow

I thought this was generally a pretty good episode though, like last year, the inclusion of Suicide Squad in this show feels really shoehorned and pointless. Why are Diggle and Lyla always being roped into these missions? Doesn't ARGUS have plenty of other agents to choose from?
I'm starting to think John Diggle is actually Rick Flagg.

I hope this isn't the end of Deadshot, I've liked the actor more and more each time he's appeared and I think he's really grown a lot into the role.
It would be so sad. He needs to come back.

Also, the tease around who really killed Dig's brother is still out there, right? I mean, Deadshot was paid to kill him, but I remember him saying something like "Deadshot does not miss" to Dig.
He does not miss, meaning Andrew was the target. Diggle always assumed Deadshot missed the guy Andrew was protecting. He also got the tattoo.

Late to watch it but I really enjoyed the episode. Story moved forward, characters made sense and weren't annoying, and it was a lot of a comic-booky fun watching Arrow vs Atom (although I wish they could have had a fist fight in there as well).

Having Cupid on the Suicide Squad was perfect, she gave the show the lightness that it sorely needed. Even Roy got in on it with "He made a super suit... cool."

Deadshot got a surprisingly sympathetic treatment as well as his origin story told through flashback. He's a great underdog character.

And this was just too cool:

At least Oliver got his revenge by leaving him behind.

I...I don't know how I feel about this episode.

Like, Diggle and the Squad get some action, which is always good. On the other hand, the only members of the Squad are Floyd and Cupid. Not that it's bad, but I would've liked another member to be there. Regardless, I enjoyed it.

I guess...I dunno. Was a weird episode. Good plot progression and everything. Nice to see Ray in the suit. Finally, this weird love triangle comes to a head. I liked it, but...Something felt off. I can't really describe it.

This gif makes no sense when you apply logic to it, loooool. WHERE DOES SHE GO? HOW HIGH IS THE DROP?

Clearly she's at the bottom floor. And if not, then there's a batplane waiting for her.
She grabbed onto the ledge on the floor beneath her?

Yes. A part of the enjoyment of this show is discussing it with others, but because the shippers have become obnoxious and obsessive it creates a hostile atmosphere if you dare critique anyone in their weird little fantasies. It is especially problematic when the show itself panders to them.

Just took a look at Marc Guggenheim's tumblr (He's a writer on the show)

He answered the fried Roy question three times:

What happened to Roy after the Arrow/ATOM fight ?! He is unconscious after being electrocuted and Oliver just walked away, leaving him !

That was our bad.

When Ray and Oliver fought Roy got electrocuted and thrown against a fence, Oliver then beat Ray and walked away, What happened to Roy? Is he okay? We don't see him again in the episode.

We fucked up.

But did we just forget about Roy in yesterday's episode? I mean he was electrocuted.

Yeah. That Roy moment wasn’t our finest hour.

Regarding Deadshot:

I have my doubts Deadshot is actually dead so is there any chance Lyla and Deadshot could be regulars next season?

Unfortunately, Deadshot is off the table for the nonce.
