Stuck at 3 Phantoms I decided to help someone else do it since I can never find anybody. Helped him down it first try, wasn't even that tough. Then I tried Beckoning again and it actually worked, beat them on the first try as well thanks to a good co-op partner. That fight is insane solo.
If you can't get help, help someone else do a boss, karma will reward you I guess. lol
Near the 4th boss, turning right instead of going to boss room takes me to 2 non respawning hunters and later, room with a blue thing in the middle and a closed door
2)
In the prison, I've opened one of the two doors on the sides of the lantern but not the other
3)
In the cathedral ward, after the guy with the ball and chain is a closed door
4)
In the Hunters Dream is the locked gate
5)
At the bottom of old yarnham in the village area is a huge closed door
One place i know i can progress is in the
prison
, i found a boss named
Darkbeast Paarl
. But he was insanely hard and completely wrecked me. Is that where I have to go?
I can't think of any other paths I haven't explored, an all these are closed. Ive killed CB, FG, BSB, VA, and WOH.
The "tomb" is the graveyard you fought Father G in. And be careful. Her prey is there, but she's actually up the stairs. So when he aggros you, kite him up to her.
Didnt play Demon Soul, but I am find Dark Soul harder than Bloodborne.
I didnt beat either games yet but I got pretty far in Dark. Maybe it was the mechanics in that game that makes it hard. For example there really isnt any cheap deaths I have found in BB.
So for people who feel like they're a bit further along, where would you rate acquiring the Ludwig Sword on the percentage scale for the length of the game? Is it about 10% in, 20% in....

The Cathedral Plaza with the two huge enemies roaming the circular area. At the left side should be one of the giants that isn't moving anymore. Go past it until you reach a door. GIve the guy the password (you should know it if you beat the Vicar).
So, just for pure curiosity for the Souls veterans that are almost at the end of this game.
As a person that never played Demons, and considering the game is know to be darker and creppier than the Dark games. What do you consider more dark/creepy/twisted, etc.
Bloodborne or Demon's?
Never played any Souls games but I freaking love Bloodborne. It's actually easier then I expected but I am still early in the game. 1 shotted the cleric and 3 shotted that father guy. Just bought myself the Kirkhammer since it looks amazing.
Well, I don't the maximum Insight you could have. What I know that with more Insight, you'll discover more areas, more enemies with them becoming harder. The openess of this combined with Insight mechanic, makes backtrack necessary as it's very easy to miss tons of important thing.
One of the greatest enemies is always yourself, I lost 20k last night even after saying to myself I should probably go use these before I die, but the temptation to get more echoes was greater then my better judgement and the enemy that killed me was greater than my skill level at the time.
22h. I took my time (ask stream. I was literally looking everywhere for loot. I went for the "trying to do 100%-without looking too much at guides"-playthrough. I did, however "rage-quit" my first character 8h in. The second character I created basically "rushed" through the first two bosses.
Seems like whenever you go full aggro on an enemy in this game they return with a flurry of close range attacks. Like those undead sword dudes from Dark Souls that would go nuts if you got in close. Looks to be a design choice. I think pretty much every enemy in the game is like it, unlike past games where enemies would have gigantic recovery times and long animations and obvious tells no matter what range. In comparison to this, of course.

Is she still in the Cathedral spawn for you? If she is and her dialog still says don't go there, do exactly what I did. Warp back to "Central Yharnam" and run to the graveyard from there.
No, i'm not helping you. I'm at work.
But i feel your pain. That bastard cost me 40k echoes...
Watched some videos on youtube and it's like a completely different boss. It looks so easy.

LOL, yeah, having the ability to save anywhere at anytime on most PC games is like the opposite of hardcore and nearly every PC game I've ever played implements this save system.

Yeah I have no idea how someone does a first playthrough that quick. I'm 10 bosses in however far that is and at 32h. Granted I have died a lot and donea few chalice dungeons but still
I had the "cant kill boss" frustration already, and the "FUCK YEAH GET WRECKED" elation, but I hadnt had the "I just lost 45minutes of progress and I feel like curling into a ball and cry" desperation
all part of the Souls cycle, was inevitable
40k at my level is acually quite a lot, would either be about 4-5 levels, or most likely, all the new shit that popped up in the store
Adding random notes of NG+ while I'm playing.
NG+ note #1: The regular Yharnam enemies give around 40 echoes. The same enemies give around 850 echoes in NG. This means that the xp is 21x higher in NG+.
