Halo 5 Guardians: #huntthetruth

Tomorrow will be mildly bananas.

I'm wondering what the reasoning is behind each weeks new release being on a Sunday as opposed to say, Saturday evening? Does having it on a Sunday promote extra chatter when everyone returns to work/school the next day etc? Only reason I ask is as a UK resident it sucks staying up til 1am on a Sunday night/Monday morning. Of course I could go to bed and catch up in the morning, but there's nothing quite like watching something go live and seeing everyone's reactions. It's a small sacrifice, one I'm happy to do, but man Saturday night would be perfect.

Yeah. I would be okey with Friday or Saturday but Sunday is a really weird day to release new snippets. And like you said, its a bad time for Europe.

Because they are promoting it along side the TV show Walking Dead, which airs Sunday nights

I love Halo's live action ads. Halo 4's was alright, but they hit the peak so far with Reach's Deliver Hope. Before that, We Are ODST, and before that, Landfall.

I'm pretty excited to see this come eaaaaarly Monday morning.

The commercial should run backwards. Master Chief on the ground with helmet off, rises, helmet comes back together and onto his head. The bullet comes out and travels toward Locke's sniper and goes back in, and so on
I don't like that exact idea, but something similar would be awesome.

Sorry for slight off topic,

I'm going to Seattle next week to visit game studios throughout the city. If I go to 343i will I get turned away? I'm not expecting to go into the depths of the studio or anything but just the inner entrance area.

Be sure to just touch the door handle, leave, then tell us about it.

Lol dude. I don't care if I get in or not I would be happy to just see the outside of the studio in person. I've never seen anything gaming culture in real life. For all I know this whole industry doesn't exist outside of Steam and Gamestop.

Having been in a studio I always dreamed of seeing (Red Storm). It's both cool and a let down. It's never as awesome as you imagine it, but at the same time you're where the games you love are being made. I even got to see games that still aren't released yet being made and playtested one that was released a while ago.

I was lucky enough to have a friend that worked for RS. He's since moved on.

I kind would know what to expect. But what did you expect outside of people sitting at computers or chatting? I would also be happy meeting the devs themselves. Especially Frank O Connor because he had a huge part in bringing my favorite game of all time
Halo 2
into existence.

He is wrong, Spartan IVs are incapable of even wearing a Spartan IIs armor. They are nowhere near equivalent.

Yes, an unarmoured Spartan IV is nowhere near a Spartan II, but the Gen 2 Mjolnir helps them out way more.
But as I specified, an armoured S-IV is basically equivalent to an armoured S-II.
This is spelled out at the wiki entry at
http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/SPARTAN-IV_Program#Trivia which itself cites an interview from San Diego Comic-Con 2012 with Stinkles himself.

Oh, lord. Calm yourself. I'm not sure he can handle that level of nut swinging.

So we are getting a live action tailor? tomorrow?

We can hope.

Excuse me. What is wrong? I'm sorry I would like to meet one of the developers behind my favorite game. I'm a real piece of shit aren't I.

If I hadn't played Halo 2. My life would quite literally be completely different. Bungie got me into gaming and without gaming I wouldn't have gotten so interested in computers which lead to my career choice of computer science.

"An average SPARTAN-IV in GEN2 MJOLNIR armor can take on an average SPARTAN-II in GEN1 MJOLNIR armor"

There is a chance John will get the Gen 2 MJOLNIR Mark VII in Halo 5.

Game studios are just like any IT devision of a company. A bunch of cubes/desks with 4 monitors (in this case a TV and XBO), a PC, a bunch of coffee cups, and notepads everywhere. It's still a business, just a bit more creative one.

I went to KAOS Studios before they exploded with THQ and it was a cool office, but it wasn't that much different from our IT building where I currently work. Maybe a bit more marketing (logos, game boxes, etc) around. 343 gets a bit more of that having Halo. So, I guess, imagine an IT office with a bunch of cool Halo stuff sitting around and some art up in the art department. Oh, and more interesting conference room names.

Also Tashi.

That's exactly what I would expect it to be like. Not having computer with the latest build of their game all across the studio. Not showcasing gameplay. Just a normal company where people are quietly working in secret.

Yeah, the community/content manager who joined Bungie in 2004 had a huge part in creating Halo 1.

Halo 2. The Vidocs made it seem that way.

Edit: Just realized I put Halo 1 in the spoiler. oops. You can see in my second post that I actually meant Halo 2.
