this game gets fucking. weird. I have almost seventy insight. I've seen some shit, man.

I can't believe they managed to top Dark Souls.

Oh yeah, if you try to sneak past him he comes at you from behind later... Just kill him while he's banging against the door. Good time to practice your parries.

That works well but I also usually go and kill the werewolves on the bridge and the other troll on the bridge for vials. Makes it a fast run for a lot of vials.

Never ever be scared to simply run around to scout out your area. Fighting through everything, every time, can be frustrating.
 
I messed up

Ending spoilers

I was clicking through the dialogue at the end of the game, unaware that a choice was about to pop up. Well I clicked one to many times and got the final boss-less ending. Now I'm just dissapointed after all that work.

I'm so salty over that, Jesus. I went through so many bosses today to get them all done. My god, I am stupid.
 
*sigh* I can wait for 30 minutes ringing the Beckoning Bell and get nothing, then the instant I ring the Small Resonant Bell I get summoned >.<

I experienced the exact same thing in both Dark Souls 1 & 2 and it's really frustrating. My PS4's NAT is type 2 which should be fine, right?

what's the name of the zone I should avoid if I don't want to accidentally stumble into the ending?

I talked to him and he asked me if I knew of a safe place, and I decided to answer no. This happened to me and I killed him. I did not even bother talk to him, I thought he was eating a corpse when I found him so I immediately attacked. Was easy just cheesing him through the door you come out of on the roof.

This game is incredible.
 
Well, that's it for me for tonight. I've beaten 10 bosses (how many are there, total?) and am in what I believe is close to the last area. I'm guessing I'll finish it tomorrow, but I'm going to try to fight every optional boss and do everything else I can before I move on to NG+. Can't wait.

no way am I making the final choice without asking you guys first after what I just read a few posts above.

I'm thinking. We can probably drag you up to a 72 in next to no time at all if you get a little bit farther. Ignore Paarl for now, hes completely optional. Theres an area that a quick run is like 15/20k souls in 3m. It's ridiculous.
 
Cainhurst castle should be a mainline level in this game. Feels like a classic Souls type level but it's optional and too short. Meanwhile, I spent my entire Saturday night in the Forbidden Woods...

Sean, if you're referring to the troll, he's I'm the alley by the big door. Kill him before you get to the wolves. Also, there is an armor set in the dream you can buy that has significantly higher defense. Lastly, buy 10 molotovs, and cheese the wolves your first time so you can at least get to the boss. Once you reach it, you can level up in the dream, win or lose.

that Hunter vs. Hunter battle and the old crow-face lady.
That was really cool.

6-7 bosses
and nothing was big in story....

Well you have missed the cool stuff and the other endings are cool. So what are you so sad about? You can go on and do better now.
