Forbidden forest npc question
I missed the beggar and went back to find him cause I wanted to fight his beast form. But no one's on this roof. Is he gone for this playthrough?

I don't know what to do now. I was on Byrgenweth with the guy in the chair but nothing happens.

I ALSO DIDNT EVEN GET TO COOP ONCE. EVERY TIME I TRIED TO COOP IT DIDNT WORK, TOOK MORE THAN 10 MINUTES, OR NEVER FOUND SOMEONE/MATCHED ME WITH SOMEONE.

edit: Wow, sorry caps. On Mobile.

I was able to summon a random guy in Old Yharnam entrance gate. Then we killed a "mini-boss" near the shooter tower, but the guy died a little bit after that (he was impatient and calling every enemy to him though). Then after that I did my way alone to the tower shooter, died several times, killed him and then headed to the boss area while running away from a pack of enemies because a mistake I commited in the church area...

At the boss area I rang the bell again, and nothing happened after 10 minutes or more.

I don't know if that's a bug, or if that's because the area I was. But in case that's a bug or server issues, they need to fix it asap.

I have just tried to beat the 3rd boss (Blood-Starved Beast). Died pretty fast, but have not tried much. However, outside of the boss area I rang the bell trying to call for help... I stand there for more then 10 minutes, and no one showed up (Global ON, Password OFF). That was lame... =/

Play offline, you can get the npc to join you.

Finally beat boss 1 Father Gascoigne after must be 10+ tries.

After couple dies, I discovered to take advantage of the tombstones to block him away from me while I do charged range R2 on him...could get him consistently to phase 2 but that's where I couldn't do much to him. Found out about the music box later and used that...wasn't able to help too much. Only got him killed after using Molotov...it was still tough, and my guy died the same time he died...it was insanely epic and what a rush!

Now on to more new things but I am done for the night. I didn't fight many bosses as tough in Des or DKS...especially as a first boss.

And this game is straight up unsettling...it's more of an horror action RPG. The sound design is freaking amazing with all the enemy noises in the background.

Died to my first boss, it was the 6th one I think? S
hadow of Yarnham
. Only took one more try to take him down. The woods go on forever and the shortcuts are confusing.

Seriously co-op needs to be fixed. Takes me 5+ minutes to connect with my friend using a password and that's if we even connect at all. In the end we just played solo while talking about the surroundings over Skype.

You missed an optional boss at the end of the big bridge where the two wolves are. The Cleric Beast.

Thanks so much for this. Just wasted 7 levels getting my arcane up to try the basic items and was SHOCKED at how high the QS cost is for some of these. I managed to deplete my entire stock of bullets just practicing in the hunter's dream. I read the item description for the arcane items and saw 'unlimited uses'. Since they're mapped to the item button, and not gun button, I didn't realize that it was consuming a certain amount of QS.

Really disappointing. Was hoping this stuff would be more viable. They need to patch out the QS requirement to make it so. Seems like that would balance out the poor attack damage at least.

I think a One bullet cost on them would be okay. They don't do that much, even at 40 Arcane, but they should still have a cost. They're also extremely easy to interrupt.

Does Yoshichan have a job lol? I remember him posting about his download problems a day or two after release, and he's already rolling into NG+++?

I haven't even beat the damn thing lol

Is there a lantern close to the 2nd boss? I have to make a pretty long trip from the first bosses latern :/ Father G.

There's a shortcut you can open right to the left of the bridge leading to Father G with a lift in it. Once you activate that lift from the Father G side, you can access it by running past the two brick trolls under the bridge from the central Yharnam lantern.

Finally finished Yarh'gul thanks to help! Had alot of trouble connecting though for some reason, spent a bit of my insight. Was able to solo the boss though, kinda reminded me of another boss from Demons lol

You missed the shortcut. Possibly two.

Do you have the gate open at the central yharnham lantern?
Do you have the elevator activated at the end of the bridge that the fireball rolls down?

How do you counter the Frenzy stat? I have the
Ashen
Hunter set equipped, and I think Sedatives can cure it, but I only have one of those. Where can I get more?

So I am having trouble finding out how to get to the nightmare frontier. I read its through some study area. How do I find that area like this study they speak of?

Yeah, I could see that working. As it stands, magic is completely useless. Even the arcane buff that you apply to your weapon seems to do minimal extra damage.

Also, I just got to the secret
Castle Cainhurst
area. Oh man, is this another Painted World situation? Where one of the best areas is so easy to miss? Barely deep into it but the place seems pretty awesome so far.

I don't think Yoshi is sleeping much. I remember him getting constantly slain by VA and then restarting the game(?). Next thing I know he's barreling through game after game.

Take the Grand Cathedral lantern. Exit and turn left. Go all the way as far as you can, and you'll get to where you want to go. I'm in the frontier now. Halp.

Farm sedatives from the
slug dudes
in the
Lecture Hall
. I can buy them in the store, but apparently I've achieved some witchcraft that allows that since everyone seems to think it only happens in NG+. Frenzy is impossible to deal with though, it fills up damn near instantly and one shots me, pure luck is what got me by the thing in the N
ightmare Frontier

What are the best weapons that scale with skill? Started a second file, and this threaded cane is a piece of shit compared to the Axe I'm using with my primary character.

This goddamn second NPC hunter for
Eileen the Crow in VA's room
is annoying the fuck out of me. How the hell do I beat this?

I don't know why everyone rags on the threaded cane so much, that thing is honestly my favorite weapon in the whole game.

Okay.
Darkbeast Paarl is wrecking my shit
. First boss I've had problem with. I've got a Hunter's Axe, Ludwig's Holy Sword, and a Hunter's blunderbuss.

What do I do?
