How much do I have left after The One Reborn? I still need to go back and beat Martyr Logarius before I reach the end and would like to know where I stand.

There are tactics and strategy. A lot of people just end up beating her without realizing she can 1-shot you. Seems the chance of getting "lucky" and just beating her before she uses all her strong moves is pretty good.

Maybe I missed the strong moves then. Our battle consisted of a few summons and R2 abuse.

You need to slow your roll there, sonny boy. Because Demon's Souls had a boss that was a pile of snot that barely moved, Dark Souls had a boss that literally killed itself, and Dark Souls 2 had a boss that was a room full of rats.

All three more dangerous than a slow ass pensioner with arthritis. To be honest I was my own fault anyway, I built myself up expecting fireworks.. A FUCKING WITCH!!!

You're right in that I am over exaggerating I just wanted this :(

I know this is an aspect that many people adore, but sometimes I really hate how there is a lack of a clear cut, satisfying upgrade. Just unlocked bone ash set by defeating the keeper in a chalice dungeon, and looked at the stats. What the fuck!? They're quite horrible. Even an earlier set like Gascoigne blew it out of the water with much better distribution of stats, and this is what I get for beating a stronger enemy at a latter time?
This game has a much different approach to armor in that there are very few sets that are just straight up better than the others. You're supposed to change depending on the situation.

I do kind of prefer it though, it's nice being able to use whatever armor I want and not really have to worry about it.

Goddamnit. Anyone have any idea how to avoid (late game boss) Eb
rietas BS laser attack? Got her down to like 10% so many times until she uses that and kills me.

I didn't even see that attack once while fighting her lol, found a way to mega cheese her early on. Just attack her front left and stand there. She'll only do the slam attack, dodge it get 3-4 hits on her and repeat. Just make sure you bring at least 5, preferably around 10, blood vials so you can tank through the passive aoe dmg she does in her final phase.

Are the Blades of Mercy as good as they seem to be? I have them to +6 and they are wrecking bosses and hunter hunters. Are they good for the latter part of the game, or am I pumping too many mats into them?

Excuse you. I think you mean two slow ass pensioners with arthritis

god im still so depressed.. like wtf

I WISH I COULD GO BACK ON MY SAVE FILE...

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

:(((((((

Such an awful ending

I felt the same way actually - beat the game, wasn't expecting to be sent back to NG+ straight away. However, I then rushed through the first few areas (like 3 hours or so) just so I could get to the secret areas I missed.

And it was totally worth it. Now that you've beaten the game, I'd say you're good to look at a guide and work out what bosses/places you didn't see.

I just got to
Cainhurst Castle
and it's maybe my favourite area in the entire game. And it's SUPER obtuse in terms of how you can access the place. I wasn't happy initially about having to redo areas in order to get there but it was totally worth it.

Some of the best and most twisted enemy design in the whole game, a gorgeous new area (with a completely different aesthetic that wouldn't feel out of place in Dark Souls 1+2) and it's pretty sizeable.

Fuck the BSB. Its so easy until its last 25% health. Throwing in the towel for tonight. Hopefully I can get it tomorrow. Does anyone know if I can stagger it with the repeater pistol or do I need the Blunderbuss?

I get what you mean but when I looked at these two side by side

Black Church Garb:

90 90 110 110 110 100 110 60 58 9 40

Bone Ash Armour:

110 80 100 40 40 140 140 33 29 41 25

FML.

You mean the special armor for sale? Yes, that comes back when you go to NG+.

Yeah, want to make sure I don't have to unlock it again, thanks.

I never found this Crow NPC in my game and I'm looking at all the locations it's supposed to be in. At the end of the game and I can't find it

OK so I went to the right of the Grand Cathedral down where the electric and shotgun guys are. Killed them and some bag dude and went further down to find a building. Inside there's a massive hall with a huge door but just closed. Seems like a dead end...do I need to open that door from the other side?

I personally like how the Witch fight is a curveball if you're coming straight from the first four bosses. I enjoyed the change of pace.

Fuck the three stooges though. Fuck them. Fuck them. Fuck them. You're basically fighting three Vincent Adultman-like dudes, but except kids, they're made up of
snakes
which is fucking hilarious to visualize.

That door will open on its own later. Don't worry. Ignore it for now
if you want ot live unless you have a certain item.

Last Time I post this as I don't want to be seen as advertising my amazing one video wonder channel BUT -

Here is how to beat BSB without getting hit and without a riposte.

Mats aren't hard to come by except for the last one to get the weapon from 9 to 10.

Pretty much every weapon in the game is good enough to easily beat the game with, even on NG+. Blades of Mercy are at least better than average from what I can tell so you are fine.. just put 50 points in Skill.

Think you need a specific item to start that bit off properly.

Is there some sort of bowl in the moddle of the room?

Wow, finally beat father Christmas after about what felt like 15 trys. Dude was super easy until he hit
beastform
and then hed wreck me.

I learned to roll towards him as he attacked but my sweaty fingers kept slipping off these crappy rubber joysticks and screwing that up. Eventually my persistence paid off.

BB has a loot problem that wasn't in any of the previous Souls' game.

Case in point: You could find the armour sets of almost every enemy in the previous games and dress up as them. Not really an option now, aside from a few bosses/NPCs. But the mobs you fight? Not so much.

I remember always looking forward to that next hidden chest or unlocked vendor because I could get armour that had a practical impact on my game. Not anymore.

I don't mind the lack of weapon variety as much (although I did stick with the axe for nearly all of my playthrough) but the above kinda killed some motivation to just keep going and search around the next corner.

If you didn't help her at all then
she's where vicar amelia was.

Thanks. But what about this level scaling cap on Skill I keep hearing out? I thought I read that Skill doesn't scale very well, if at all, above 25? The Blades are already showing "A" for me and Skill is at 25.

Let's be honest, most of the enemies in this game are either in their birthday suits or look like farmers from the old country. Would you really want a dozen variations of "dirty vest + button down shirt" to go with your dozen variations of "black duster"

The letter is how much the weapon will scale with your skill no matter the number, your skill could be 2 and it would still show an A scale. The actual scaled damage increase is shown like this
Blades of mercy : 110 + 90

Have you ever played a Souls game? Yes somethings in BB are similar but they are 2 totally different animals. I mean I love BB and I love souls also. But dont expect the same gameplay. You can maybe expect the same sort of story telling elements and the way lore is handled

i played demon's for like an hour and it didn't grab me. but this game probably wouldn't either if i didn't have an idea of what i was in for initially. i just really appreciate the old school mentality in a fully featured game like this today

Finally got to
the Unseen Village
. I've been here before after a jailer captured me, and I had been able to warp there via lantern previously.

Now I'm fighting
infinite spawning dudes, women ringing bells who are summoning these dudes, and Great Ones who shoot laser beams at me.

This game is insane.

Kill the
Bellringers
and you won't need to deal with
infinite spawning dudes
. The
third Bellringer
is a little tricky to find - you will need to
drop somewhere
to
find her
.

Soft cap is 25, hard cap is 50 but even between 25-50 you get enough of a damage increase to make it worth putting points into it. At higher levels this weapon has a S tier scaling for Skill.

I'm completely stuck at the Nightmare Frontier. There is an enemy at the poisonous swamp the kills me instantly with frenzy. My insight is at 54 and I know if I lower it frenzy damage will lower too, but I don't want to lower insight.

Up until now I don't really mind the more difficult enemies, it's just this one that I can't deal with since I can't even get close to it.

Any tips dealing with that spawn of Cthulhu?

She never healed once with me. Use the PVP anti-heal bomb on her. Should solve that issue.
I totally forgot I had those despite the fact that I used one during the V
icar
A
melia
fight. Whoops. Doesn't matter anymore, though, since the obstacle in question is dead.

YES! Defeated the boss on my first try just switching to one handed. Went down incredibly fast.

Sure.
Run by everything. Ignore the area.
It is completely optional :P
But yeah, screw them. Expect to have to use sedatives.

Swap out one of your runes for the +200 frenzy resist rune and then run by it.

Nah, it's just an empty room

Did you kill
Rom?

Yeah, I'd say that's the causer of the issue though. And it's a shame. Armour clearly doesn't make too much sense because of the speed of the game.

However, there's quite a few enemies whose costumes you can't find. The dudes with the staffs and the creepy white masks? Nope. The Santa Claus dudes? Nope. I'd love to play dress-up as both of those guys, especially the former. But there's no option to do so.

Far out I suck at this game. Just trying to get the free hunter set whilst getting use to controls etc. Took about an hour before I even made it to the sewers, then i fell off the ledge and got destroyed by some beasts. Never played a souls game so I have a lot to learn.

Time for a break.

So, Amelia question.
I haven't been able to find a "clean" way of fighting her, like I did with F.G. and BSB. Is it really just about having 20 vials and slowly carwing her health of in small doses? Feels like I just can't dodge or parry my way out of damage.
I know I said I need a break, but I want her dead so bad!

The 25 softcap is bullshit because from like 20-25 my damage was only going up one per level but 25-30 has been putting me up three per level

You will port there after you defeat Rom and that door will be open leading to next area the unseen village

Guys, help, I don't want to miss anything! Moon is full and I'm at
Rom, but haven't beaten him (it?) yet. I think I killed all optional bosses up to this point, sent the crying woman, the old lady and the whore to the Chapel and the cannibal to Iosefka's clinic (because he deserves it). I spared Iosefka so far, but I may go back and kill her. I have 40 insight and there is some weird shit going on at the Cathedral Ward and I imagine all over.

Should I be doing anything before progressing? I remember the top door of the healing church was closed, should I go try it now? How about going back to earlier areas, speaking with NPCs again, etc? I gave the brooch to the little girl, but haven't seen her since and she's not at her home, where is she? Eileen died to the hunter fighting her at Father G's graveyard (I tried to help, but he killed her and me. May go back and get revenge.

Wait until you've killed Rom to kill Iosefka if you want an Umbilical cord.
