Btw beat him
Is the first chalice dungeon finished?
Think you have to beat 3 bosses to finish the first dungeon. Should be a lift going down after you beat the first boss.

Depends on the weapon you are mainly using. I believe 25 (?) is the soft cap for Strength, Skill, Bloodtinge and Arcane. And the soft cap for Vitality and Endurance is 30 (?). Since I am using the Holy Sword, it scales with strength and skill. I started leveling up skill once I hit the soft cap for strength. Some weapons such as the Blade Of Mercy only scale with Skill.
edit Mistype again :lol my Arcane is 7 not 17![]()
He'll believe that the cane is the single greatest weapon in the game no matter how many people tell him it isn't, quit while you're ahead.
Yeah, beat the 3rd.Think you have to beat 3 bosses to finish the first dungeon. Should be a lift going down after you beat the first boss.
How do I get this in Old Yharnam?

No clue if I'm being honest. I'd imagine it's blunt in GS mode. You really don't have to worry about it at all, in Demon's Souls it was a bigger deal to know what type of damage you were doing since certain enemies had ridiculous resistances to some, but it this game there aren't any enemies like that.Ahh, I see. So Ludwig is thrust, and certain enemies are resistant to that. Would Ludwig be thrust in both forms?
The "Soft Cap" thing is super misleading.
Yes, you get less of an increase per point past 25/30 for those stats, but it's only SLIGHTLY less. It's not really a "soft cap" and people *really* misused that word. You do *NOT* want to stop raising your stats at that low of a level. The real Soft Cap is at 50. Post 50 stat increases massively drop off, but you still get increases so it's not a "Hard Cap". The Hard Cap is 99, where stats max out.
Except for Endurance which completely stops giving Stamina post 40, though it still gives Defensive increases past that.
Yes. The game allows you to roll after you've been knocked down. Don't spam it, just wait until you're about to be attacked and dodge through the attack as you normally would.while still being knocked down and laying on the ground?

I just played a lot of BB, can't sleep, and have a good memory for video game stuff (usually).

The length of this game really is disappointing considering how amazing most of everything else is. I never wanted it to end EVER! At least with DS1 + 2 i sank about 50+ hours before I hit the credits.
Also I've heard NG+ is a bummer as well :/
Well, at least I still have the 2 other endings to try and get.
Is there any merit/demerit at having a high/low Insight?
Because lore-wise, the game seems to basically hint that Insight is what blurs the lines between reality/dream/all the crazy stuff, which is why I think the doll only comes to life after you got 1 Insight.
So from a lore perspective, I'm thinking "more Insight the better", yet at the same time, it's a resource for stuff.
Is it okay to just spend Insights frugally?
The "Soft Cap" thing is super misleading.
