Halo 5 Guardians: #huntthetruth

People forget this game isn't even out for another 7/8 months. Why would they show off gameplay now? They're most likely holding off most of that for E3.
 
I'm surprised Microsoft is starting the tv advertising so early. They seem to be putting a lot of eggs into Halo 5's basket.

Which is why I think the release date may be sooner rather than later. (September instead of November)

Maybe just being selfish though, I want to play this game!
 
This was added to the blog recently, not seen it posted here yet. Nothing major but worth noting I guess!

I'm still hoping for a launch in 6 months. Give me the game before I get too deep into the semester and I have no time to play.

They have a very busy end of year schedule. But of course they are going to throw everything behind Halo 5.

Why wouldn't they? It is their biggest franchise both in terms of popularity and sales.

Never said they wouldn't! We are in agreement.

And as others have said, the UC4 delay along with MS nabbing Tomb Raider, I could see them doing a very large marketing push for that game in November... another reason that leads me to believe Halo will be out earlier rather than later to avoid crowding.

Way I see their holiday playing out is: Early Sep -> Forza 6, Late Sep -> Halo 5, October -> Gears/Rare/???, November -> CoD Marketing/Tomb Raider

Getting off topic but it's fun to speculate.

Forza is most likely a October release ;)


Mid September = Halo 5
Late October = Forza 6
November = Tomb Raider


Not sure where to put this rumored Gears game. If even real.

Good point, you're probably right. Regarding Gears, who knows what it is but there have been rumblings of something Gears related coming out this year. Again, could be nothing but it wouldn't surprise me.

I'd say

Early September: Halo 5
Late September: Forza 6

Late October: Gears

Early November: CoD and Tomb Raider

Then you have to sprinkle in other 3rd party marketing deals like the Division and AC. MS have a big holiday coming up.

This looks pretty good to me, if Gears actually has something coming. It's going to be a packed holiday again. I wonder who will get Rainbow 6 Siege marketing rights and how big the Star Wars Battlefront push will be?

I would choose live action. I want to relive that moment when I saw that commercial for Reach.

I would pick live action, hands down. Having gameplay this far out would be torture, and not nearly as polished as it will be by E3.
 
Anyone read the new halo book new blood? It might be one of the worst books Ive ever read in my life. It reads like poorly written fanfiction.
