Halo 5 Guardians: #huntthetruth

That's what he started questioning right at the end of the audio clip.

Hadn't finished listening when originally posting, that makes sense. I just assumed that the flash clones degraded much faster than that and didn't retain their original attributes as well. I guess it can still fit within the universe :/

Maybe it's just the perspective of the statue, but it seems pretty interesting that it seems to be a blend of the Mark VI and the Mark VII(?) armor.

"YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE. IT WAS SAID THAT YOU WOULD DESTROY THE COVENANT NOT JOIN THEM"
"BRING BALANCE TO THE UNIVERSE, NOT LEAVE IT IN DARKNESS"

So doing a tiny little bit of analysis here:

- His left (our right) shoulder has some serious damage. The Mjolnir armor there has been ripped apart, looks almost like flesh damage.

- Damage scarring across his chest plate.

- He is moving his right (our left) arm and grabbing something in the rubble or just the rubble its self.

- No visible crack or damage to his helmet or visor. Either this is pre-E3 trailer or that just isn't happening... or he has a new visor.

- Possible look at what Locke's INGAME HUD could look like, I'm assuming the VFX team that worked on this shot had assets from 343 from Halo 5. There looks to be a shield and health bar; and Locke has taken damage.

You can see a pistol in the rubble in front of his hand.

Just a reminder, that this actually won't happen in-game probably.

There was no single live action trailer, that represented the actual game scene, but they were always kinda close. Don't take them too serious.

Yeah, I was expecting something similar to the diorama advert in Halo 3 - MC being surrounded by a fuck ton of Covenant - but nothing at all like it happened in game.

I think in the case of Naomi, her flash clone lived for like 2 years after being swapped. I could be wrong, it's been a while since I read that book.

EDIT: Beaten. :(

Damn son, the Infinity got wrecked! I wonder what the hell could have done something like that. Not the Covenant, surely?

Can't wait to see the second part, maybe it'll answer that in some way.
Maybe the giant forerunner thing chief woke up is what did the damage to infinity...

Or maybe chief justice stuck it with a plasma grenade...;p

I have to wonder what hit the infinity, will we still be dealing with the fore runners, as the didact is dead, or are we maybe looking at the precursors? Possibly even the humanity that existed before our evolution restarted? I love this kind of speculation!

Obviously there's heat damage of some kind... But what about the veiny marks?

Cracks caused by trauma and heat?

Railgun seems about right.

A plasma shot would've melted the armor and not left sharp edges like it did.

Sniper rifle wouldn't have left so much heat to the armor.

Railgun would have left heat and sharp impact edges.
