Finished the final chalice dungeon and beat

Disappointingly easy TBH. The most difficult boss in the game remains defiled fire dog.

How do I access the door that's to the right of the Cathedral Ward in the chapel-safe zone? The one where you can bring people to since it's safe? I'm on NG+ and forgot how to unlock the door that leads to the elevator.

We think it's tied to defeating BSB.

So can you actually reach
Unseen village
by going left from
Grand catheral
lamp, after you get port to
lecture hall
?

Yooooooooooo M
artyr
L
ogarius
ain't no joke!

Some pretty crazy moves he's got up his sleeves.

Second boss I summoned a partner for
once I got him to his second form I said fuck that and got a partner
He's just too fucking fast

I'm really enjoying the pvp (mid-game area spoiler and a few item spoilers in the video but that's all) in the game. It's so fast pace and isn't just backstab fishing as I remember DS1 being most of the time. It's still not perfect as healing can be a bit abused (but can also be punished if you're quick enough) and some weapons can stunlock like crazy if you get yourself cornered.

Some of the zones felt very Dark Souls like.
Nightmare Frontier
for example and a couple more. Was nice :)

Posting for new page: What do I do next after beating
Amygdala
?
It's unclear...

That zone is completely optional, go back to the
lecture hall, find the next floor with another "door to the outside" takes you to the last zone (not counting secret zones)

Don't know why this is a problem for a lot of people, it was really easy for me. I stayed kinda close (not on it's ass but not 100 miles away) and slowly killed off
the little spiders. He teleported twice and it was just rinse repeat, at the range I was at the projectiles from the sky would land next to me with enough time for me to simple side step it and they never hit me.
. I did use a level 6+ hunter axe though in 2h mode for the range (how I do all bosses)

I just watched a video of someone doing the fight with the axe 2H mode. That's not what it looks like for me lol

The charge attack is nasty. The charge on the spear mode of the spear carver is gutter trash. Why it has less range than the carver mode I don't know.

The fire dog in Chalice dungeon ? I thought he was easy, i heard
the Queen
is like the one of the hardest boss, so that's bullshit ?I'm doing it for the trophy, about half way there.

Just seems strange that we have a stat called Beasthood in the main game and no one has any idea what effect it has.

But we do know what effect it has, a very limited one that lets you go into a sort of "berserker" state, you can use either the claw weapon you get from the chalice dungeons somehwere or pop one of those pills, that lets you build up your beasthood bar which increases your damage output as it rises but also means you take more damage. That seems to be it (well apart from a lot of misleading descriptions)

Man Chalice Dungeons get pretty fucking crazy at Depth 5 even for NG+ characters.

Seems like it's tuned for co-op play because some mobs have crazy HP and the bosses too. Not to mention that a lot of big moves can one shot you.

So what is tge depth stuff all about? Like is that how many leveks down you are? Me and a friend made it to lvl 3 of the first chalice and it was much harder than the first 2.

Just beat my 3rd boss. The one that
poisons you.
The only thing that made it difficult was the lack of healing items. I had like 2 or 3 when I beat it, and I did not feel like grinding for more.

I've tried to kill it like 5 times now, always fail when I try to heal myself too close to it. So irritating when the health bar is at like 10 percent. Oh well, it doesn't take that long to get to the encounter, so it's fine.

So do you get higher mats for dungeons in lower chalice dungeons? How does that work? I only have like 2 or 3 materials

And there's different chalices? Someone needs to do a chalice dungeons faq / guide :(

How do you deal with BSB's third phase? It's hard to get some hits in without the poison meter going dangerously up.

When he does that charged poison release attack, it leaves a cloud of poison in that location even though u can't see it
Stay away from wherever he uses that attack
Took me 2 days to figure out that's why I kept getting poisoned so much on stage 3

I find it odd there'd be a stat to such a trivial thing.

Fire dog is a piece of cake, imo.

edit: Ah, still haven't fought defiled version.

Thanks! :D

Just tired and frustrated
I came back to Praal just before I was going to lose access to him. He was much more manageable. The trick really is to
beat the crap out of his hind legs - DO NOT target lock him, it makes the fight harder.
Actually, not target locking big bosses is a good idea in general. It makes almost every fight harder.

Beat the final optional boss today
(Ebrietas).
With all of them out of the way, I'm on the homestretch now I think. All of the NPC side quests have been immensely interesting as well, but I didn't expect anything less. What a fantastic game it's been.

Shit I had no idea if lose access to him. When does that happen?

Doesn't that need 30 str? I'm going skill :(
Base is 16 I believe, but by plus 6 is scales B with both skill and strength. Plus those early skills points for the cane to use.

Edit: At plus 6 it only scales C for skill, but it eventually goes up. Either way, still takes advantage of those points.

Oh that's another one ?

This chalice stuff is pretty shitty i must say, since you need to be lucky, and farm to open other dungeons.

Depth 4 and you have half health, almost everything one shots and he has a ton of health so you can't mash your way to victory. Trust me, you will all soon know.

what level were you and how much grinding did you have to do for blood and other components? ive been slogging through it not doing root (random) dungeons, but now I don't have enough to unlock new stuff, and sinister versions seem to be teh same just with pvp

Hrm. So I just fought and killed
Iosefka. Was she supposed to drop an umbilical cord?
I don't think she dropped anything. Was she supposed to?
