Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

i just looked at the wiki. Everything looks so confusing and im not even sure im doing everything the right way. I think i have missed out on a lot of shit already,.

Game is still fresh. Wiki will have maps, way more details, etc as time goes.

I feel so confused with this game but it's lots of fun. I still can't figure out sidequests/NPC stuff.

I find it easiest to kill Katana first. Play it so that there is always a wall between you and the sorcerer. Katana can be easily parried and countered.

Then I went for the sorcerer. He's a sitting duck and with Katana who's the only one who rushes you out of the way its pretty safe to kill him. Dodge his fireballs, slash him twice or so, get away.

I find flamethrower the easiest 'final shadow', his super form isn't much special. I cornered him, waited for his attack, shot him and locked him in against the wall. He pretty much died in one combo.

PERFECT STRATEGY BROTHA! Once katana went down in a flurry of viceral attacks the rest was cakes. Only need about 7 blood viles too! Thank you!!

Nice. I stumbled on it myself.
As I got murdered twice when I let sorcerer alive. He seems to be the most dangerous in final form.

We need like a bolded "Don't use Suspend/Resume in this game!" in the OT, because it is mostly broken for BB. It breaks online, it breaks offline, it pretty much breaks everything.
What's the issue, aside from getting booted to the start menu? And I find if you suspend during a load screen it works perfectly

Skill build here, quick question, the blades of mercy does arcane damage by default correct? If so, I'm currently level 36 but have not touched the arcane stat (7) should I spend points on it to the benefit of my blades of mercy? if so, how many?

From what I've been told, Arcane only scales if you put an elemental gem on it. So just keep going with skill.

Three questions:

1) Is there any advantage to making your own chalice dungeon as opposed to just exploring someone else's?

2) i just killed Ebrietas, and
there's an altar in the room with the option to inspect it, but my only choice is to do nothing. What is this for?

3) I'm almost at the end of the game, but there's a door i never figured out how to unlock. In the Cathedral Ward
there's a guy with a huge ball and chain, and beyon him a staircase leading to a locked door. How to open this?

No reason to make your own chalice dungeon.

Depth 5 chalice, need to get some vit and 5 arcane before I try some bastard again.
What spell do you want access to?

I have thought about going Arcane and having two Blades of Mercy pairs. One for electric, one for fire.

I have also thought about going into Bloodtinge and using HP regen stacking to keep endless bullets going.

The reason O&S works as a gank squad is because the challenge is lore-based.

They were Gwyn's Knights, they had to be a challenge and because of that, I didn't mind them crushing me. But a gank squad for the sake of a gank squad (ruin sentiells, shadow of yharnam) is sort of irritating. If I find some proper lore on SoY then they might be a little more bearable.

1) Uh....not really? You need to make your own before you can join someone elses. As in, if I make a Loran depth 3, i can join loran depth 3 ones, but until then, I cant.

2) To revive the queen of cainhurst should alfred kill her (let him kill her)

3) E-er. I think you already opened upper cathedral, this may be the door no one knows how to open.

No reason to make your own chalice dungeon.

I want arcane lol

Side quest npc spoilers:

I should have sent
the crazy religious lady
to the clinic.
I swear she murdered the hooker.

I'm curious about number 3 as well. Does it have to do with the tonsil item I received?

See my lengthy post a few back. Amongst all the black bars. Arcane can open up some fun things later in the game. You'll lose a little damage from leveling skill, but not too much. to give you an idea on the scaling at level 10 its
skill S - arcane B
My skill atm is 37 and arcane 18. Also important to pump endurance. It seem to scale well at 3 per level until at least 38 where I am. You will be dodgling and attacking ALOT with that weapon. Also for the love of God the dual wield option is the only option, even though you don't get a charge attack.

Shit man, everytime I think there are no new areas left to find (I can already beat it if I want), I find a new area :O

Finally found out how to get into that door at the top of the cathedral ward, was not expecting a whole area behind it!

I'm kinda mad at myself though, I keep finding out about these areas by reading stuff instead of finding it on my own :/ I shoulda kept with what I told myself and stayed away from EVERYTHING Bloodborne until I completed it at least once. Ugh, oh well.

Cool, thanks!

Man,looking at these trophy rarities is sad.

37% have still not beaten Cleric Beast.

45% or almost half of all players have not defeated Father G

I wonder if they're really struggling or just not playing

It was to be expected, no? I think many first-timers give up way too soon and don't come back.

Should or shouldn't have?
Is the hooker dead in your game or missing? Because if she's missing I can probably tell you where she is

1) well, you may end up with a new version of a dungeon with its unique loot (also, im not sure but i think you need to craft a dungeon before you can use someoneelses)

2)
You can resurrect the Annalise, Queen of the Vileblood if she happens to be dead by you or someones hand. Edit: If you go loot her flesh and return to the altar

3) no idea, i've seen this question pop up multiple times and i still dont know the answer to it.

Question: what is the point of chalice dungeons? Bosses give very little souls, and I beat my first chalice dungeon level 3 boss (depth 1), the
fire dog
. My reward...
another chalice
? Sooo... why are we exploring the chalice dungeons exactly? Infinite new content to beat?

But lets say ive made one and then removed it. I can click the tombstone and choose to search for a loran, thus saving my materials. Is there any reason to prefer doing the ritual again myself? There's only like 4 or 5 altars, if i remove one then want to do it again some other time, better to use someone else's right?

What's the highest you can theoretically get your Physical ATK stat? Mine's getting close to 600, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to reach it even with my stats maxed. Anyone manage to break 600?

No reason to make your own chalice dungeon.

There's plenty of reasons to make your own chalice dungeon. Like, making a depth 5 sinister chalice with curse and other nasty effects and sharing it with everyone because it has some rare items, just so you can slaughter them on your main character as you invade them. C:

picked up an uncanny saw cleaver from my chalice dungeon today, when I get it to +6 I can have an arcane weapon to go with my fire ludwig's and.... motherfucking tonitrus.

1) You need to make a Chalice to unlock it (for co-op purposes and using the root of other people's Chalice). There isn't any real advantage to making your own as you can look online at what people have created, see which Chalice has the item you want and plug in the code for it.

2) That altar is used to revive NPCs. Right now I only figured out that you can revive the Queen of Cainhurst with it if she is killed by you or Alfred.

3) I don't think anyone has figured out what that door is for.

Just beat S
hadow of yarnham
, 6th boss. Surprisingly easy! Only took 2 tries and that was because
after the first try, I switched to charred hunter gear for the fire and physical res as well as changed up my runes for more defense and hp. With some quick footing to dodge their attacks, they went down quickly.

There's a weapon that can only be aquired from a chalice dungeon, they're where you find the best blood gems, and aparently you can also get the very valuable final upgrade material.

Also you know, just for the fun of playing new content. There's a shit load of bosses in there that aren't in the single player, I've seen some good ones.

Top of the cathedral ward? Doesn't that require a key? And isn't called the healing church not ward?

LMAO!

got upto the top where gatlin guy is.. started a small skirmish... I knock him down where I climbed up and he died xD

Hoping he didnt drop anything valuable!
