me sitting at work wishing I could play Bloodborne

What's the point of respec? Just start a new character and build on that one.

It's an option for the lazy. I never used it.

who is
the lady with the dual swords outside the cathedral? she owned me the first time then I trapped her into falling down the levels but the giant pig owned me when I got her down to a sliver she said "tell your master I said hi" I assume you need to fight her as I tried to make friends no dice....

also does that
giant boar do anything ? His path lead anywhere good?

Neither Eileen the Crow or the NPC are in the Tomb of Oedon after speaking with her. Does she disappear if you don't go help her immediately?

I wouldn't mind being able to reallocate, say, 10 levels once per game cycle. But willy nilly respec like in Dark Souls 2 was part of its general insecurity about what kind of game they were making.

That is a great suggestion. I think a lot of people hate the souls series because they just don't get it.

Common complaints are:

The game is too hard.
Leveling respecs need to happen.
Bosses are too hard.

Seriously. The game is made the way it is, it is not for everyone. It is fun if you actually take the time and patience to change your style of play if it is not working into something that will work to get through the game.

so far the one thing that intrigues me the most are the Cthulus that hang off the walls, what the hell are those?!?!? i gotta play more to maybe find out!!!

50 hours in, those stupid crows got me again with a jump scare.

Also anyone have any tips for (sidequest spoiler)
fighting the hunter in the grand cathedral
? Holy shit he is tough

Check the 3rd headstone, you should be able to warp back from there

Haha the crows scare me everytime. Those damn headphones. The game is truly terrifying in a way none of the other entry's were.

Just bought it, unpacked it, now updated it...gonna play it with no experience, no guides. Only me and my Gold headset with Bloodborne custom audio,

LET'S DO THIS!

Well, that's a backwards way to respec, but like I said a "true" mechanic only existed in Dark Souls II

And I'm glad it's gone

Same, in a series which was always about being punishing in regards to your choices (and DS2 followed this trend, for example, killing the lady that lets you level up), respec always seemed to me a feature that was put in because they caved to pressure.

Where the hell's
Eileen
in Cathedral Ward? The wiki says she's left from the doorway directly in front of the the Cathedral Ward's lantern, but I'm not seeing her anywhere. I've already talked to her in Central Yharnam ages ago.

I want to make a point.

Only a true gentleman walks the streets in the night with a cane and top hat.

Don't be a scumbag, be a gentleman.

Any tips on
Shadow of Yarnham
they're ruining me, I'm level 43?

Take out the pyromancer first. Just kite the other two back, dash up to the pyro, hit him a couple times, and then wait for the other two to catch back up to you. Rinse and repeat until he's dead. The melee-only guy can be shot and parried extremely easily. The third guy doesn't really do much on his own.

That's only if you haven't met her in Central Yarnham.

Go to the tomb of Odeon (preferably descending from the cathedral ward rather than from central yarnham) and you shuold find her there fighting another hunter

I've seen videos of bloodborne players with their weapons either with electricity or fire. How exactly do I get a weapon buffed with fire or electricity?

Absolutely

And yes I'm glad it's gone, too.

I think a significant part of the Souls' series attraction is that each character is a solid, continuous character who you build up over time. Being able to respec/customise to a large extent would ruin the idea.

The game makes it incredibly easy to start new character and it's replayable enough anyway due to the moment-to-moment gameplay and strategic options.

That location is a second chance if you missed her in central yharnam
I missed both and now i cant even find her to kill her

Basically whenever you die you drop a bloodstain like in the other games, but if an enemy walks over it it'll absorb your echoes and its eyes will start glowing purple. Many enemies in this game have long patrol paths so that's why you'll sometimes find glowers in different areas.

Yeah I get that. It's just there are some unexplained echo piles that I'm picking up. Like I'll start an area fresh with 0 deaths and there will be an echo pile sitting there.

DO NOT SUMMON IN FORBIDDEN WOODS UNTIL HOTFIX IS OUT. any MP there can potentially cause a key item to not appear so you can't progress the game.

need to kill the other hunter where father g was, and also defeat rom and go back to the cathedral without warping to there

Anything I can do to make me more resistant to BSB's poison? Got it down to half health on my first go, was feeling pretty confident, then the second form came...

Is there a way to know which attacks can be parried? Parry in its so important but I've never really learned it since it sends only certain attacks can be parried and I don't want to just tank damage figuring that out. Let's focus on smaller enemies such as Hunters. For larger enemies I figure there are less parry opportunities.

Game is amazing so far, I'd say im enjoying it more than Dark Souls (one of my fav games ever). Areas look cool and bosses are mostly fun to fight. Also I love my kirkhammer <3.

Ok,
Blood-starved Beast
down (yes, I summoned). Not sure if I need to do the
Cleric Beast
now in order to progress.. but I did just create my very first Chalice Dungeon, which seems really cool.
