Fuck em. Just run.

take the stairs to the right.

I ran past them tbh. No reason to fight them.

I recommend running because after that, hunter waits for you so dying will make you very upset. :)

Isn't the big one giving a nice item ? No reason at all to fight ?

Kill it, kill it with fire!

Not that effective sadly :(

I'm not there yet, but I follow the conversations here, and I read you can lure them one by one onto a bridge and whittle them down that way, saving the big one for last.

Yeah, works wonder

Haven't been able to do coop for two days now. Now I don't even see any Notes left from other players. Restarted. Power downed. Updated. Nothing. 😣

Thanks for the replies 5-6 pages ago. This thread still moves too fast. I'll change my gear and try again. Unfortunately my constant death and lack of funds to buy supplies means I sold my bolt paper days ago for change not giving a crap.....oops

Naw, I used the exact same strategy I did on normal which is to
*always* dodge into him, so as to land basically under his body near his hind legs, and go ham. When he lights up, keep hitting. Only heal when you are behind or under him -- ironically safest place. Used 2 fire paper.
.

Thanks bud. Weird - I seem to do no damage. I think the ludwig sword may be the wrong tool for the job, despite being at +8. Also, not being able to lock onto the legs seems annoying. Should I just be flaying about wildly and hoping for the best?

I was trying to be nice >.<

I cannot deal with Gascoigne and it's super frustrating because he really doesn't seem like he should be that difficult. I can go almost the whole fight without much bother and then just get stuck in one of his flurry type attacks where he just doesn't let up and I can't get out.

This game's good at giving you a kicking just when you think you're getting the hang of things!

why don't you try ?
these type of posts are against everything games like bloodborne are trying to be.

why are you playing this game if you don't want to explore and discover stuff by yourself ?

Maybe because there is a 45 second load times between improper experimentation and discovery? Seems reasonable to not want to sit through that over and over. Games like Super Meat Boy where death is part of the game too, you reload instantly, it made dying not seem so bad. Here, shit really punishes you.

I've already beat the game by myself so I understand and mostly agree with your point, but them load times. They are awful.

I've acquired so many different armor sets but nothing beats the Black Church set from a stat average perspective that I could determine so far (its raises and drops on individual stats are less severe than compared with the other ones I have). Of course I've only just beaten the boss in the
Forbidden Woods
so I'm praying there are still a bunch of sets left to obtain that will tickle my pickle.

The more I play the more I hate Bloodborne. I just don't get why the game got basically a free pass from the press.

- AWFUL camera, especially against huge bosses. Seriously a pain in the fucking ass
- Full of texture glitches, I even had some audio glitches too. Visible pop-in when you load a new area
- No way to block in the game, so you always run in circle or use your gun.
- I'm kinda far in the game and I never found any upgrade for my armor. Item variety sucks
- The fucking stuttering. How could they release the game like that? Not smooth at all
- Difficulty spikes are not fun. I found Bloodborne to be very badly balanced.

All in all it's probably the worst "Souls" from From except DSII.

Demon > Dark Souls > Bloodborne > DS 2

edit: don't get me started on those loading screens

Why not just summon? I'll come give you a hand if you need it.

Sooo, anyone who has found the yarghul boss shortcut run into a scene that runs at 0 fps, i mean as it is so slow it takes me 5 minutes to get down the elevator. Worst thing i have ever experienced in a game. Ill upload the video of it later. Its pretty horrendous.

Any tips for Ebrietas!?

Stay in front of her and only attack after her charge or one of the attacks that leaves her head on the floor for a few seconds. When she starts shooting lasers hold left or right and mash the fuck out of the circle button.

God damn you can rack up a lot of souls quickly with all 3 Moon runes. 50k in a few mins.

There's three? I already got the super secret one so it's not that one that I'm missing.

Too late! I killed the ambush but went down the passage on the scaffold room. Like 7 enemies bum rushed me and I died. :P

Ah crap, sorry man, I knew that should have been in the last post lol. Well for what it's worth you won't have any trouble getting back.
On the section where you would typically go downstairs to fight the big guy in rags instead look out to your right, you can get straight back to where the hunter was via a ladder when going through what's left of the building.

late game enemy and room spoiler :
These fuckers are fast and tough. In pack I get wrecked, can't fight back at all.

If you want it is possible to run all the way past them
and also run past the hunter after them too and make it the spot where you activate the shortcut without ever having killed anything. Even if you die on the elevator it doesn't matter because once you activate the elevator for a second then it registers that you can use it.

Man, you straight-up don't understand this game's concept if you're complaining about the lack of blocking. That's kind of the freaking point to the combat system. You're supposed to dodge, and when hit, you're supposed to hit back right away to recapture a portion of your HP. It's a brilliant system that makes the combat so much more dynamic and fun.

Your list of complaints is a joke right?

Beat the Hemwick Witch on my first go tonight, and I killed Vicar Amelia (awesome fight) on my fourth try, if I hadn't found that numbing mist I'd have been totally fucked on that fight, didn't even remember I had it until the fourth try.

Ludwig's blade at +6 is ridiculous. A full charged backstab is so satisfying with it.

There's three? I already got the super secret one so it's not that one that I'm missing.

Yeah! I couldn't tell you where I got the first because it was so long ago, but the second is
in the boss fight area for the Nightmare guy(Ican't remember his name), you have to go up a spiral staircase to get to the second phase of that fight. If you go down that staircase the rune is at the bottom!

Is
Ebrietas
in Upper Cathedral supposed to be terrible or what? I've been on a tear killing everything in 1 or 2 tries since
Rom
and this fight seems like bullshit.

It's my favorite of the "Souls" game specifically because of the changes to combat. It feels way faster and once you understand the mechanics of your weapons and characters it feels like your playing a scene out of Vampire Hunter D, darting around people, using a spell to nightcrawler teleport between enemies getting a few attacks on each till they are dead. Or using the kirkhammer to pancake flatten an enemy and then baseball swing him into his buddies causing them to stun for a second leaving you precious seconds for an opening attack. The combat it the best part of this game.

Yes it has tons of audio stutter(Lost woods especially) and the framerate does fluctuate, quite a lot in fact(though that could be blamed on the frame pacing, doesn't mean it's more excusable). But it also has amazing art direction and design. The enemies and NPC's all have a fantastic look to them. Yarnham itself is gorgeously imposing and bewildering. Shortcuts that more or less serve as mid-point bonfires that give a huge sense of relief when opened. It's a great game, it has problems, but what's great far outweighs what's bad about it. In a time where everyone has to be a champion, Bloodborne makes you earn it.

Lower Chalice Dungeon level 3 I met an old friend.
(boss spoiler)
Rom
Was the original fight that power spammy? It was just spamming powers left and right. Forced me to kill adds so I could roll in for a quick hit then pray RNG wouldn't hit me with a power on the roll out. Is there a Numbing Mist that works against boss powers? That was crazy.
Then Layer 4. No, game. I'm taking a break.

So where is the
giant spider from the alpha? The part when he was sitting on top of a building
I'm far enough in that I thought I would have come across it by now.

By the way, is there a way of checking how many hours you've played Bloodborne? I had a quick look around the game's menus and the PS4 a bit but I couldn't find anything.

Jesus Christ, i'm stucked at Amelia, cumulative hours i've tried to take her down as of now: 6 hours.

I know the tactic and everything, i just keep dying lol.

I'm developing some sort of Stockholm Syndrome.
