I think I just did the back half of the game in 30 minutes for NG+. You can sprint past everything, lol.

I'm not planning on doing NG++ so I'll try to wrap stuff up there before finishing again. I think I'm missing one weapon somewhere.

once my damage output was significant enough it was relatively easy, Just stay right behind it when possible hacking away, heal when hit, buff with papers..the only time I had to move was when it was
charging the laser attack at 10-15%,
other than that I just hugged it's ass and hacked away. Took like 2 minutes.

I think it's intended for high lvls tho since I was struggling a lot at lvl 50/60

Yeah I'm 62. I already cleared Cainhurst and I killed The
One Reborn
. I guess I could just continue the story and come back later.

I can't beat blood starved beast. I'm a new player. Any help?

I beat him on my third attempt. My tactic was to make sure I had some antidotes on me just in case I got poisoned, then I'd try to keep close to his rear left the entire fight.

When he swings, it's from his right to left (when facing him head on). So I dodge to the left, into his swing, and it usually puts me behind them. I then whack him 2-3 times while he reorients, and repeat. If I find myself away from him, I rush to get close again, so his attacks go over my head when I roll/dodge.

I got really close beating him first attempt with that strategy, but got poisoned and didn't have any antidote equipped at the time.

Most of the big enemies I get up close when I fight them, because most of the time, their attacks go over you.

I employed a similar tactic with VA, dodging and rolling as necessary, never attacking more than 2-3 times so I wouldn't exhaust my stamina. I try to make sure I have enough stamina left to dodge at least twice. It took about 3 attempts to defeat Va as well. I used a little bolt paper for that fight, too.

Honestly, the only boss that took me more than 4 tries was Father G. I beat Cleric Beast first attempt. Another boss I beat so easily I thought the game was trolling me, or that there was going to be a second boss fight afterward. The W
itches of Hemwick
.

Edit: that isn't to say that the game hasn't been kicking my ass, just not in the way I expected so far. Bosses are wonderfully challenging and hard, but I've been doing fairly well against them once I learn what their move set/stages are like.

Yeah, do it at the very end.

Love this game. Ended up with 23 hours on the first playthrough. Its a shame that you can use the music box on Father GasCan (Lore wise its cool but the fight is so much more fun without it). However, Ghernam is bunch of parry bs. But I got him down on the fifth or so try.

On a side note: pvp is fun as hell, had a crazy gank last night, I'll probably upload it later.

WHAT THE FUCK NIGHTMARE OF
Mensis, giant baby foetus thing out of the darkness with giant eyes following yeah
WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK :( I can't sleep anymore

Holy shit the forbidden forest is like one gigantic fucking maze with multiple layers and I can't find a shortcut anywhere except from the very intro part for the house and I'm fighting
fucking snakes and god damn aliens and god damn pigs and fucking axe carrying ogre bitches and I'm getting clasteophobic and I'm getting nervous as fuck because I'm filled up on echoes and want to go back to the refuge but I can't figure out where the shortcut is and I don't want to have to do this again because it's been 45 minutes straight and wondering through this tangled shitty mess with shit everywhere and I don't want to die and I WANT OUT

I'm doing this run blind though damnit all. So I just hope I don't die.

......

And 5 seconds later I die. Fml

Doing early Chalice dungeons in NG+ is boring

I used Ludwig's for my first run, and I want to use
Burial Blade
for this one. I really wish I farmed some chunks beforehand.

is giving me serious Painted World of Ariamis vibes and it's awesome! Of course I've only died like 4 times at the mobs in the entrance but this place seems really special.

It's going to be hard when this game ends. Has From Software ruined gaming again for me? :)

So what is the best way to get rid of that Gatling gun guy? I have seen some videos about cheering him off by just knocking him off, but he seems to always stay on somehow when I try.

I stayed like 2 rungs down from the top just sitting there and after about 4 minutes he walked towards me and right off the tower to his death lol.

lol this is exactly what I was posting earlier in the thread.

Its too early to have a definitive game of the generation.

Love that area

Get to chalice lvl3 boss, it's
rom
, turn off ps4 in disgust, seriously why From?

it's way easier there, don't worry, in fact if you time it right you won't have to deal with it's bullshit AT ALL. because of the small arena, you can see where it's
teleporting and make it teleport again before it even materializes, repeat until dead.

Just finished my first play through. I know I missed some bosses. I think I'm just going to make a new character and try a skill build.

You guys beating the game already, and on new game + already blow me away. Where do you find the time to game?? 12 hours of my day is spent at work, then I get home and spend time with the wife, and if I'm lucky, squeeze in some gaming. I have more time to game on the weekends, but I usually do errands that I couldn't do during the week. I wish I had the time to game more.

Just go to the forbidden woods. Its so awesome how this game seems to have homages to Resident Evil 4.

Oh man. Get ready. What starts as somewhat normal quickly sends you down the rabbit hole

Seriously I feel like fucking Alice right now but instead of cool pot smoking, smartass cats we get blood sucking fucking ... Things and runaway demon pigs with anusses ripe for riposting. Alice never had to fist a pig to continue tumbling down the rabbit hole.

So I just beat
the Witches
and am unsure of where to go next. I've run around all the areas I remember not exploring and can't seem to catch a break. If anyone can point me in the right direction without spoiling too much I'd really appreciate it. :-)

fav area in the game

hope to learn more about it in future DLC

the
vilebloods
seem really interesting

The
final
boss fights are right up there with the best
final
boss fights in gaming. Some of the prettiest, and most fun fights I have ever had.

This game.

It came out at a pretty good time for me since I'm not doing anything too stressful in my classes and work a lot less until summer.

So once I best the fourth boss (or third including BsB) do I go fight those lightening chain whip dudes who are crazy hard or head into the tunnel to the forest?

is BB the only game that actually has pig
asshole
textures ?

This in addition to the game's backstab mechanic...wow

One of my favorite moments in the game:

Walk up to the cave which had Ebrietas in it. It was turned around so you could only make out the back. From a distance it looked a lot like a dragon. I was like "fuck yes a dragon... let's get hyped!" Then it turned around and showed its face and I was like "WHAT DAH FUCK IS DAT?"

LMAO! I can't be the only one who had this reaction.

What is the consensus among Souls veterans regarding the difficulty of this game compared to the souls games?

I've always considered myself sucky at these games and I just finished Bloodborne in 20 hours (did pretty much all the side stuff, although I'm assuming there is some more stuff I missed, and I got the
"true ending"
) and I found the game pretty easy with the exception of the second last boss.

I'm thinking I should go back to the souls games now (probably wait for the new version of DS2).

Fuck those three fucking hunters in Yarghul. I've died more to those sons of bitches than to any boss. God damn that cannon.
Many hunters in this game are a pain in the ass. I always run if there's more than one, come back and lure one out at a time (I'll usually get just inside pistol range and fire a shot at one, then lure then away) and parry them as much as possible. Even if you don't time your parry right, you usually stagger the Hunter and open up a few strikes.
