CAINHURST CASTLE...HOW IS AN AREA THIS GOOD OPTIONAL?

THIS GAME'S CONSISTENT QUALITY IS RIDICULOUS.WAT DA FAQ ITS BLOWING ME AWAY.

agreeeeeeeed

Most godlike boss strategy, for all bosses:
Drink
whatever vial of blood you got from an NPC at the Cathedral Ward. The prostitute gives you borderline endless stamina (hur hur), and the religious woman gives you passive massive health regen. The first lets you burn down bosses faster, and the second lets you be more aggressive without worrying about consequences.

I didn't figure this strategy out until the end of the game, but I plan on drinking one of these suckers every time I fight a boss next time around. I also plan on using it every time I go to PvP. :-)

>.> Just
pick off the spiders one at a time. They're vulnerable to transform/guardbreak. Then run in and get your hits on rom. Back off when he rears up to do the AOE, and strafe to the left when he does the ice crystals. Rom is also vulnerable to guardbreak (otherwise it's gonna be a long fight).
That seems insane to me. I just ran in and zerked him down. Took three tries.

I must be one of the few that thought cainhurst sucked except for the boss.
They overused the initial enemy type, but I enjoyed it.

So what is the best way to get rid of that Gatling gun guy? I have seen some videos about cheering him off by just knocking him off, but he seems to always stay on somehow when I try.

they aren't one use?

So I got to thinking, that door behind the giant with ball and chain in the Cathedral that can't be opened could be the entrance to upcoming content to this game.

Been cruising through the game but been stuck on blood starving beast for 3 nights...

Guess I will finally ask for help. Anybody? Super tired of farming moneys just to die to him

What's insane about it? Takes like 2 minutes 3 times max to kill the adds. 10 min or so for the fight, if that? Everything's super easy to dodge.

Git gud. No, really, I had the easiest time killing him just parrying and fighting him like you would an invader.

Spoiler alert in case you don't want to know about the 2nd boss in the defiled chalice dungeon. Edited the pictures too for those sensitive to spoilers.

The Watchdog isn't normally that bad, but with both the handicap given in this dungeon and the broken hitbox on it's charge attack that was a one hit kill to me with half health I was having to restart a boss over and over for the first time.

Damn it.

Felt so good.

Abandoned Old Workshop. To get to this area, you need to first travel to the Cathedral Ward lamp. Once here, go through the door to your right. This door will only open once you have defeated the Blood-starved beast in Old Yharnham. See Blood-starved Beast if you need help finding the location of the boss. You now want to head up the elevator, and instead of going into the tower ahead you want to go around to the right and fall down. Now enter the tower, and you will be in a room with wooden pathways leading down a very large hole. From the top platform you start on, you want to roll down to the wooden platform that is to your left upon entering. It has ropes right next to it. You need a fair amount of health to survive this fall, so make sure you don't attempt it with low health or you will die. Once on this smaller platform, roll down to the right and then go through the door. You are now in the abandoned old workshop, and the first piece of the umbilical cord can be found in the house where the rune workshop is in the Hunter's Dream.

That's the one I have. I hear you get one from a boss?

Are there different levels of difficulty for the Chalice Dungeons? I'm trying to wait till I beat the game to try them out. WIll I be over leveled?

Anyone having summoning issues? Trying password summoning and we've been sitting here for over five minutes in the same spot unable to find each other.

It usually takes a while each night when we do it, but never this long. I really don't understand why we can't just send invites directly to people.

Yoshi, would you agree with me that this game is one of the best games you've played to date, but not quite as good as Dark Souls?

Curious to hear your opinion on the matter.

I would def. put Bloodborne in my top 5 now, but I don't know if it beats out Dark Souls at the end of the day.

What is a good level to do the first chalice dungeon? I mean, for a mediocre player, like me.
Should I use the
frenzied
blood echoes item or keep it? I'm still heading to A
melia
, I have no idea what
frenzy
does. I'd like to keep spoiler free, if possible.

What's your setup? Stats, weapon, and runes?

Blades of Mercy with 21% physical, 21.8% physical, and Physical ATK UP +9.8% with Add arcane ATK 31.5.

20% more stamina rune, 40 skill, and 25 arcane. 1 combo brings him lower than half health and the second killed him. It was glorious. Now I just want to stack stamina runes.

run up the ladder and as soon as you reach the top sprint towards the guy and attack him...a few swings with my Saw Cleaver and he fell off the tower...had to leave the level and return later to collect my badge though

Just had the most ridiculously tense pvp battle in
nightmare frontier.
Goddamn. Had the tiniest little sliver of health left and so did he. We were so perfectly synced during that fight.

Am I screwed with Eileen? Missed her in her first spot but caught her at the
Cathedral Ward
and exhausted her dialogue. I've since completed about half a dozen areas and every time I go to back to the
Tomb of Oedon
there's no sign of anyone. I did see what appeared to be a hunter at the former site of
Vicar Amelia
but I didn't even try it.

Also, I'm disappointed to see that the Beckoning Bell is still hit or miss despite the patch. I noticed that it seems to have a higher chance of working the first time than subsequent times. Is it on a system where you go to the back of the line on the server after your first ring or is it just shit. I have half a mind to use the dupe glitch with all the insight I've lost to bell rings that never work.

He shoots you as soon as you get to him which stuns you though.

Lol don't get Yoshi started on Dark Souls

Don't wanna speak for the guy but if you replace "Dark" with "Demon's" I think he'd agree

So any general advice for dealing with enemy hunters, seems to be the one thing I'm really bad at still. Think it's mostly their speed that I have trouble with.

So I started a new character just because... anyway I killed the first wolfthing with my bare hands without dying finally, figured I'd get something cool like in all souls games when you kill the first dude without your weapons and stuff yet.... NOPE.

Nothin, lol.

You know I don't rank Dark Souls (1) high at all :p My impressions (along with a short review/summary of all the Souls-game) is in this post:

I am having some serious issues with E
brietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
.

Been stuck at this fight all day. Sometimes the boss outright kills me within a few seconds. I can't seem to figure out how to effectively stay safe from the boss since staying behind it doesn't work because the boss swings around quickly and will fly. Also the boss has this stupid charge attack that is practically unavoidable unless I'm messing up somewhere.

Do you use Eileen's hunter rune for faster stamina regen?

Holy crap, there are 20% stamina runes? I almost always stack my 10% and 15% ones. I could have...+60% stamina? :-O

Doesn't the Add Arcane Attack negate your +Phys stuff?

Rom
in chalice dungeon was even easier than story because
instead of teleporting 300 miles away he just teleports to the other side of the room
