I perfectly willing to bet that people are having trouble getting coop partner is most of the time caused by the fact that people actually *need* to be in your general area/nearby you for them to jump into your game, AND also there's that level cap limitations.

Combine those two, and especially if you are in a hard-to-reach area with many powerful enemies, then of course you'll get less people joining you.

I hope they just did some sort of a quickmatch search instead of requiring you to be on the same area to join a game.....

I was getting summoned/invading with multiple characters yesterday with only a few periods of downtime, today I'm getting no connections at all with the same characters in the same areas.

Plenty of major streamers are experiencing the same thing, as are people on gamefaqs and reddit. Obvious serious network issues.

I know this game has
multiple
endings. Do I need all three
umbilical cords
to get the
best?

I only have two and I'm in
The Nightmare of Mensis.

Welp shit I already used one of them to get to 10 insight HAHA
wow people are fighting bsbs in their lvl 30s ?
I guess? What's the math for coop levels? I definitely think I was in my 30s, took me forever

Reposting because I really want to know this about chalice dungeons

Debating continuing chalice dungeons or just finishing the game tomorrow. Kinda ready to move on tbh (I'm not a big ng+ person, in any game), if I do finish it and move to ng+, will that reset my chalice dungeons or make them harder?

Yup, and you're fine, since you can't miss one coming up.

Chalice are the same on NG+, only Depth determines difficulty.

From the lamp, go downstairs to that area filled with lazing people on the ground and those two bag man, and just ran past them towards a hole in the wall that led to a small tunnel, and drop down. Walk a bit from there and presto.

In fact, that's how I found him accidentally the first time, LOL.
I don't know what lamp you mean. I never got
grabbed by those guys
before and now I can't find one.

80/90 seconds with all shortcuts. It's still too long. If you have to do it several times, it adds up.

It serves no purpose other than to waste my time. I'd rather be playing your game, using the mechanics you have and learning the intricacies of the combat than continuing to master the BS 'run past all enemies' mini-game that I already learnt in Demons' Souls.

I explained it before but boss checkpoints would fundamentally change how people would approach the fights. The fear of running back through to the boss is just as strong as having to face the boss.

Fuck Darkbeast Paarl, fucking unbalanced shit. Fuck. I've seen the strategies and they're fucking impossible for me to do, he's always jumping around and acting fucking stupid.

The things that helped me (I had massive problems with this fight):
  • Make sure you're targeting the bosses chest and not head, targeting the head will make you unable to dash in on the swipes correctly.
  • Tonitritus
seems to be fairly effectively at landing hits, my other weapons kept missing.

Alright GAF Im already in the Unseen Village....
however looks like the enemy is at a much higher level than before. Is there anywhere else I should go?

Turn the lantern on first and foremost. From where you started, head back towards the stairs up and go to the highest level, the lamp is nearby on your left.

I don't know what lamp you mean. I never got

Sorry, I meant the teleporting lantern.

No, NG+ and ++++++ does absolutely nothing to your Chalice Dungeons. They are left exactly intact as you left them before you moved on to another game cycle. They are also completely independent of the main game's difficulty and NG+ does not change them at all.

But do they reset tho? I have my first chalice in the Lower depth and on layer 4, will it still be like that if I start ng+?

Awesome, no reason not to finish the game then!

Bait his big attack, charge slam or lunging attack, sidestepp to his side or back, then move away as soon as he tried to overcharge. Took me 5 tries where I learn that you can't stay in front of him forever.

I hate From releasing Dark Souls II on the PS4 next Tuesday. They knew everyone would be itching to play that again after Bloodborne...

Have that be a toggle then. People always wonder if they'll add an 'easy' mode to the next Souls game. I want that.

Yes, bosses would be less intimidating but, when the time to load back into the game is half the length of a boss-run, I think it's time that you respected the player's time. Yes, people playing are willing to invest dozens of hours, but that doesn't mean that a good portion of said investment should be spent on nonsense.

Some of us have jobs, families etc. Those saved minutes here and there really add up.

Ebrietas
down!

After being stuck here all day, did this one small change to bring her down immediately after that:

Equip the Choir all the choir uniform items and the blindfold cap so you can survive her bolts. you got these at the Upper Cathedral Ward.

Damn dude, that's the first boss. Try exploring just a little bit. lol
I did. Went through the aqua ducts, have been going through trying to open the gates that can be opened with a mechanism, but haven't found those yet. Probably missed something I guess.

Having a really hard time with *MAJOR SPOILER*
Garhman
right now. Anyone got any tips? I get him to like half his health most bouts and then he goes super saiyan and it's all down-hill from there...

So a big fuck you goes out to
Micolash.
The fight shouldn't even be hard but he keeps on spamming his spells that one-shot me half the time.
Probably my least favorite of the bosses so far.

Yeah, this fight is annoying because you know how easy it really is yet one fuck up can cost you.

They should change (good) design decisions because you want to save a couple minutes on boss runs? There are plenty of games that make compromises and coddle the player. Let From Software do their thing.

This boss seems to fall into either "Fuck this guys I keep dying" or "lol wut I one-shot him". Do the people who keep dying to him just not use their Guns at all? His high damage abilities get stopped with a single bullet.

Wow....I wait 30 minutes on blood starved beast for someone to join and finally get someone! yay....

Then they immediately die as soon as they join my game...lol, I can't win.

I have it set to worldwide, no password (was using the gaf password but no luck) and still it takes forever.

Except it wouldn't affect you if you didn't want it to. And it's not 'coddling the player'.

I can parry every counter-able boss attack in the game, I know how to beat them. The fact is, after your first run, it gets tedious doing the boss trek. I just want to fight them, not waste my time avoiding lesser enemies.

So this just happened in Bloodborne. Late game area spoiler. Skip to 6:48 if you don't want to watch whole video, but I think the build-up is worth it.

It's awesome that you have a second or so to swing madly at dead (but still standing) enemies to get back a little orange health.

Also, it's bullshit you don't get Dregs for killing NPC hunters in
Chalice

That might be my problem actually, I've been using Ludwig's sword in the greatsword form for most of the game.
Kinda been neglecting my guns. Probably should fix that huh?

I actually never tried to shoot him though I also didn't get stuck on him. It's really easy to just dash forward through the attack that does crazy damage.

I do think it's a pretty bad boss though. The design makes it so the ramp up makes you redo the tedious part before it and it's pretty reliant on what is damn near an instant kill to do anything remotely threatening.

Finished the game. I'll probably post more detailed thoughts later but even after finishing it, I'm amazed. Definitely my favorite out of all of the Souls games.

Ok, I'll try for a third time :p. I can't figure out how to use runes. I have the rune workshop tool, and the lake and heir runes. You are supposed to do it at the workbench in the Hunters Dream right? I can't figure out where it is. There are still only four options... Fortify weapon, repair weapon, blood gem fortification, and leave. Did the game glitch on me?
