Also, the matchmaking in this game is just straight up broken.

I have never been able to summon a stranger. Not a single time. I have given up on doing it.

I did a chalice dungeon with my brother today. Or I should say, I did the first floor of one with him. It took five minutes from ringing the beckoning/resonant bells to him actually being summoned into my game. We shared the same code, there's no possible reason it should have taken that long.

When we got to the second floor and tried to summon each other again, it just plain didn't work. Neither of us could figure out why. We gave up and stopped.

Online stuff has always been kind of janky in these games, but they took it to a whole nother level of broken here.

Apparently they will have online maintenance times every Wed. for the next few weeks. I hope they address some of these problems cause wasting insight and not being able to co-op is extremely annoying. Hopefully they aren't unaware of these issues.

So (mid/late game boss spoiler) I'm not crazy
Gharman
is crazy fucking hard right? Like the hardest boss in the game by orders of magnitude up to this point, right? Give me some assurance here that I'm not just terrible and everyone had a hell of a fucking time with him.

Amazing boss, really fun to fight, but I'm going on 40 tries on him. I one shotted the boss right before him, too.

God damn.

what weapon are you using?

Quick question for what to do after the second boss.

I just killed Father G and I am completely lost. I explored everywhere and unlocked Old Yharnam but cant seem to get past the gatling gun guy. I ended up moving forward a bit but ended up fighting a hunter while the gatling guy shot at me and i died. Did I miss something or am I on the right track and just need to keep pushing through?

Whats the
wet nurse
bug? Because I thought she was easy :/

Me too, but this has been confirmed on the wiki.

She only does a basic swipey and grab attack. Restarting the console apparently fixes it, but by then would you even know if its the 1st time fighting her
. Proper mode which I got in co-op, she
blacks out the screen and gets a clone that does damage too. Also seemed to move around alot more
Way, way more interesting
still beat her down though. Trying to get back there in NG+. Fun fight for co-op

If these boss bugs are indeed bugs and not "welp I got lucky" that sucks and kinda steals our "acomplishment" :/

Then again, it wouldn't be the first game with random boss attacks where you just luck out sometimes. Hell the other souls games had videos with boss kills that looked like different bosses than I fought so /shrug

You're on the right track. I'd recommend just skipping the
gatling guy as there's a couple of shortcuts you can unlock. Take him on later if you'd like. Also, if you want to cheese the gatling guy, as soon as you get to the top shoot him with your pistol a few times until he falls off, then reload your file to grab his stuff. That worked for me.

The hunter you fought comes from an area to your right, try going to your left. He usually doesn't aggro if you don't head up the stairs towards him. And you can try exploring the Catherdral Ward area...

I need some advise please. Where should I go after
Forbidden Woods
? Should I proceed with the
Castle
?
Is now a good time to do
Unseen Village
,I heard it gets more difficult after fighting
Rom
or should I do that optional area in the
Woods
?

What nice eyeballs you have, Doll.

On the right track for most part. You can get past it.

That was basically my strat. Felt kind of lame, but what can you really do when he's so punishing. The damage of your sword killed that of my axe, though. I had 50 strength and a +10 axe and my two-handed R2 overhead swings didn't deal nearly as much.

I believe i had 40 Strength + 40 Skill at that time. I think in the stat screen it said my Damage for my right hand weapon was like 736 or something. If i got hit even once by his rush, it would one-shot me, so i had to be as careful as i possibly could.

You dropped him the first time. Ok, how exactly? What weapon did you use? Did you parry a lot? I find that I can get him down to around 10 percent health somewhat often (certainly not every time) but I always die there. He's just too aggressive at that point. I'm not terrible, I can read his moves and time my dodges pretty well, every other boss in the game I've had no real trouble with, but he's just too god damn mother fucking fast.

What the fuck did you do to beat him your first try?

Lot of sidesteps towards him. I used the axe and like y'said, first half or 3/4 wasn't too bad. When he goes batshit near the end, though, it can get close to one hit / combo death.

I had 50 Vit, though, and the runes for more HP and less damage taken and more heal per vial. Every axe hit did like 380.

Feel no shame in fleeing and healing to full, felt like an important boss to top off with.

Still not 100% sure on R
om
but it is an odd situation.

Whats the advantage for Arcane skill? What does it do?

I answered this question a few pages back:

Arcane affects Fire and Bolt attacks, including molotovs. Sticking a fire or bolt gem into your weapon changes the scaling to Arcane only (strength and skill are ignored). Some enemies are weak to either element, and there are special items that act as the spells (note: these spells consume bullets) of this game. One spell is like the Chameleon spell in Dark Souls, it's hilarious to use.

And some weapons have a minimum Arcane requirement, I believe.

Quick question about NG+

I know bosses have a lot more health, what about normal mobs? One think I loved on souls ng+s was destroying early game mobs because I was so strong at the end of ng

I'd recommend proceding with
Byrgenworth (the area after SoY), but I believe beating RoM is a point of no return on some side stuff, so if there's anything NPC related you still want to get done, do it now.

Wait, you didn't do the woods next to the grand cathedral? Do that first actually.

Oh man, I found a great way to cheese the annoying
hunter
in B
yrgenworth
that I'm sure is a method that other people have been using.
I ran out to the tip of where you'd normally jump into the lake and then knocked her off of there. I followed her down and when she hit the ground in the Moonside Lake, she died
.

Yeah, You'll more or less feel like your back at the start of the game. Mobs you used to 1 shot will now take 2, 3 or maybe 4 depending on weapon. Brick dudes etc can even be challenging taking a good amount of wacks.

Difference this time though is you are armed with the knowledge you gain 1st time around. Still can be tough though. Been put in place more then a few times by non bosses

Okay I'm not really sure where to go now. I just killed the boss that lets me acquire Ludwigs blade. Now i'm just farming blood echos at the grand cathedral by being summoned. Where do I go?

What is missable after
Rom
except the
whore
NPC?

So, uh, I have 250k echoes and started NG+...do I really have to beat the boss before I wake up the doll to get to spend them?

Noob question, I bought the Yharnam Hunter Grab, but I can't equip it, obviously this could only mean because I don't have the require level or attribute to equip it, now the problem is I don't know what to upgrade to be able to equip it.

Whoa, hold up. So, I finally managed to beat (late game spoilers)
Gharman
and
the credits rolled. But I happen to know that there are 17 bosses in the main game and I've only beaten 13 of them. I also know there are covenants, and various shortcuts, like the one right outside the clinic at the very beginning of the game, that I have yet to open. I'm now in new game plus mode. That's cool and all, but fuck, I wanted to progress to the true end game like, right now. Any advice, or is this just how it is?

You should be able to equip it. It has no stat requirements. (I think only weapons do in Bloodborne.) Make sure you're choosing the empty squares under the "Attire" row (right below the weapons) when you press the OPTIONS button.

I think i made a terrible mistake. Early on i sold my torch because i got my hunters torch. And now i cant buy it from the vendor. I want to do the all weapons trophy. Is there any way to get back the torch? :(

Unless you backed up a previous save, welcome to NG+

You don't have to have them all in your inventory at once...they just had to be in your inventory at one point. You're safe.

Press the option button, the slots below your weapons slots are for your armor. Select a slot and press X. Highlight what you want to equip and press X again. Use L2 and R2 to cycle between the other armor slots and repeat.

At the Vicar boss right now, is there any place where I can find more twin blood shards? I feel my damage output is abyssmal to these bosses compared to what I was doing in Dark Souls. Maybe I should pump more levels into strength too? That's at 16 or 18 now.

Do the same bosses also appear in the same places in the non-root CDs?

Also, it looks like you're stepping forward to continually bait him into the left-to-right/right-to-left bite attack, and then taking a swing at his head as it recovers?

I think all the non-root Chalice Dungeons are always the same.

And yes, thats exactly what im doing.
