To the door where they ask password.

Ugh, bad day for my Bloodborne-ing... (late-ish game boss spoilers):

I've lost count on how many tries I've attempted Ebrietas, can't seem to nail the timings for her second-phase attacks at all. The One Reborn has also killed me three times, but at least I FINALLY killed Master Longarius.

:(

Can we all agree that the ugly fuckers that suck your insight are the most op lesser enemies in the game? These motherfuckers are a hair away from being straight broken...

I hate them with a passion.
I think that's on purpose lol. You can mash buttons to get out faster.

Is it all the buttons? I always thought it was l1/r1 in souls games?
Yeah, but I think I got out faster when I mashed everything. It might be a "hold b and you catch the pokemon" thing.

Man that's nothing to be thankful about, chunks are way too rare.

Na, blood chunks become fairly common in late game, assuming you explore a lot. Can't upgrade EVERY weapon, but can upgrade several. Blood Rocks, though? Only one per game as far as I know, excluding Chalice Dungeons.

Question about new game plus and chalice dungeons.
I get the sense I'm nearing the end of my game. Should I do chalice dungeon before I finish or is there no difference if I finish and get into it on my next run?

There is a bloodgem that says it recovers hp, im using it and dont see any difference, did i understand wrong? Damm im such a noob, dont know the meaning of half the items even if i read the description, other being beast blood pellet.

Is
Cainhurst
the only place to farm chunks before
Rom
?

They dont scale with you. So do them whenever you can/want

I beat the game and explored every area up and down, besides fixed drops there's pretty much no reliable way to get them. That ain't cool. Almost as uncool as only one pure blood stone per run.

Beat
Rom

Wasn't that bad. Took me about 3 tries. I actually didn't manage to beat
the hunter. Who seems to be MUCH more powerful than Rom.

I killed the first batch of spiders, and then just wailed away at him. After that I approached him and dodged his projectile. I was killed twice by some spider minions so I pretty much slashed him twice or 3 times and rolled back every time. His AoE was easy to telegraph and he'll never do his projectiles if you stay a bit close to his pack.

Being too greedy for hits is the biggest danger here. Sometimes I wouldn't even rush in at all as there were too many minions at his side. Its about finding a quick opening.

I wish the enemies didn't have such low poise in this. You can go ham and stun/stagger pretty much everything in this game, including bosses.

I dunno, I increased my progress at this point. Definitely keep an eye out for skuttling, skull-backed beetle mf'ers who run when they see you and eventually shadow teleport away. Those little bastards carry a LOT of goodies.

The
One Reborn
is the first boss in this game that's made me think 'this is bullshit'. Jesus H Christ.

Mmm? Mine might've bugged, but he didn't really seem to turn quickly enough to prevent me from chopping him up. Stay close and rotate?

Rom
was the first one for me, and I'm staring to think that one is kinda BS as well. I've followed all sorts of strategies and I just keep getting killed. I'm thinking maybe I just need to level up. Especially as his ass seems to become his head or something. Makes it difficult to stay behind him.

It's not really noticeable unless you go to the Status screen and you'll see the numbers (very) slowly rise. It's not worth it.

I'm there and I'm invading a lot of people at 41

While trying to get summoned in by a buddy in Nightmare Mensis, I was invaded 3 times. I never got into my friends game. I coldly executed each person except one person who seemed to take a LOT less damage than every other attacker. I was level 92.

In Frontier I was low 80's and got attacked several times as well. Killed them all as well. I think they all were lower level.

You can get a lot of Blood Echoes from it, one kill alone gave me like 50k.

Question about the O

R
eborn
boss of U
nseen
V
illage

when he throws some weird brown shit on the floor.... what can I do? Because that shit two shots me and I don't have enough time to get out (the brown area is simply too big). There's anyway to know in advance when he's going to do it?

Also, can I kill the fucking witches?

Seriously if they were going to fix the dupe they should do something to address this. Now, those that didn't or couldn't dupe those will be disadvantaged in PVP unless they put in several hundred hours at the rate of drops.

After three days I finally beat Father G. Well, it wasn't me, but the guy I summoned. Many thanks anonymous guy!

I was doing OK until he reaches his beast mode - way too hectic for me. I think I got him down to 15% once, but after a dozen tries I was doing worse and worse over the days. I even levelled to 21, smh. Usually I didn't even have the time for the
Music Box
.

I was close to giving up - only a few Insights and no options for better gear, etc. I hope the game opens up a bit now.

Question: are other bosses (or the rest of the game) as reflex-heavy as Father G? Other enemies are no problem (brick brutes, etc.) and I know about the gun stun mechanic, but the combo attacks and split-second counter windows are simply too much for me, especially when you throw in the camera and terrain issues.

Isn't it based on the amount of blood echoes the invader is carrying? Killed a couple invaders last night but didn't get that many echoes for it.

get him to chase you out onto the ledge where you jump down to ROM, when you jump off he'll follow you and die

Think my problem so far is when
he does that AoE acid move
Shit takes out half of my health even when I'm positive I'm in a safe zone. Also if you take out
those bitches on the balconies
at the start, do they respawn at all?

Yeah it really does. And he does that thrashing move all the time, or makes one of his joints explode after a couple of hits. There's a trick here somewhere though I'm sure. Also not sure if you can land a Visceral Attack on him when he staggers. I haven't been able to thus far.

Naaa, that's it for me. I've had enough now. Running through the hidden village just takes you straight to another boss. It's changed from challenging to frustrating for me and that's a time to stop.

Enjoy folks.

Yeah, I think I got all of those so far. In NG+ and want to use a new weapon
Burial Blade
without having to beat most of the game, but I got it to +8 after
Cainhurst
and I'm out of chunks again. Oh well

There are stairs where you can run up, 2 sets on the far side of where you enter the area. One to the left other to the right. All the way in the back.

Should I be using these Red Jeweled Brooch and Gold Pendants?
I have been trained from past Soul titles to never use a boss drop but im not sure with this.
