Yeah, I think I got all of those so far. In NG+ and want to use a new weapon
Burial Blade
without having to beat most of the game, but I got it to +8 after
Cainhurst
and I'm out of chunks again. Oh well

How many weapons did you upgrade the first run through out of curiosity? To say I am frugal in weapon upgrades would be an understatement.

Naaa, that's it for me. I've had enough now. Running through the hidden village just takes you straight to another boss. It's changed from challenging to frustrating for me and that's a time to stop.

Enjoy folks.
Theres a lantern in the chapel right after
the lazer portion on the stairs
there is also an
elevator that leads back up to the first lantern. You can get from the first lantern to the boss in less then a minute i believe.

Is there an equivalent to the Maiden from Demon's Souls? I can't find an NPC to upgrade my attributes? I'm at the first boss BTW.

Chunks are way too rare. I wanna try out so many weapons but I can't level them all up past 6. Maybe I should've duped them when I had the chance.

Where? I went straight through the huge double doors and straight down the street into a boss.

From the cell, take the round stairs up. There is only 1 enemy there, slow enough to run past. Keep rounding up the stairs and there is a lamp. You can get from your cell to the lamp in less than 30 seconds.

You need 1 insight, which you usually get from confronting the first boss. Die or killing it doesn't matter. Also it's *so* equivalent to the maiden

Do I have to fight the boss to open the next section? There are other areas I want to explore but just can't for some reason, like the
Upper Cathedral

You need to have 1 insight(the number next to the eyeball top right of your screen) before you can upgrade, then you
go back to the Hunter's Dream and you can speak to a doll there and upgrade your stats.
You get one just from stumbling into the first boss.

I did that ages ago. This isn't the same area. In this area THAT lamp is broken.

Technically
there is one in mergos loft
you can find more in chalice root dungeons with a depth if 5

no. only one weapon to +10 unless you get lucky doing chalice dungeons and get more than one blood rock.

All right. That is a bit of a disappointment. Dark Souls 2 had Slabs-a-plenty to get tons of weapons maxed. There are fewer in total, no doubt, but still enough to make it a hard decision.

Go through Old Yharnam and kill BSB. Avoid his fire and don't go up to him. When you eventually are able to beat Darkbeast Paarl, go backwards through Old Yharnam and go up to him. (Not sure if it matters but I heard wearing the Black Church Set helps, so I did.) He will be friendly. Choose to spare the beasts in that area.

That's how I got the gesture/badge.
Thanks! I didn't realize
there's no way to make him friendly the first time you see him, so I was confused.

The UC is unlocked with a key you found in the village. It's hidden fairly well. Use a walkthrough video if you have to.

Quick question:
Should I be using these Red Jeweled Brooch and Gold Pendants?
I have been trained from past Soul titles to never use a boss drop but im not sure with this.

For the upper cathedral there is a key
hideen in Yahar'gul, right before the lazer stairs you can there is a hole in the fence where you can drop onto a ledge.

I only noticed this watching videos after beating the fight, but for Ameyla can you,
Shoot his right hand that has a giant eye sticking out for some kind of stagger or bonus damage? Or hit that particular spot somehow when he slams it down?

Technically you can. If you don't go to Old Yarnam first. Buy the Key for 10K and go through Cathedral Ward area's first. Defeat Paarl and then go into Old Yarnam with the Church Set.

I want to help my blood brothers and sisters take down some bosses but Im not getting any connections! This is one area where Dark Souls 2 was superior, co-op/pvp was instantaneous.

Hoping this is something they can address in a future patch, its a shame its not working properly right now.

Dear Lord, that place is death. I really don't think I'm up to it to be honest. This game is just too hard for me now.

This was my 1st souls game. I had never even watched gameplay from DeS, DaS, or DaS2.....

Just beat the game last night got the "True ending" to me 55 hours with playing a few chalice dungeons (Completed the depth 3 one and
got the Beast Claw from Loran
)

Started NG+ and I rick rolled CB and FG. I went to Hunter Dream at the 1st 2 lamp to buy
Burial Blade
and got it to +10 (made sure I had the mats before I completed the final boss). I beat CB and FG both in one shot without taking a break in between and unlocked up to Old Yarnem before I returned to Hunter's Dream to use the 500k souls I had accrued.

The Burial Blade is sick nasty, I have my best gems in it (+18%, 15% and 12.5% attack). It is hilariosly awsome at FG its R2 charged hit has some much range he did not have a chance.

Are you talking about Yahar'Gul the Unseen Village?
There is a pretty nifty shortcut in the elevator there. Stick it through! You can do it. I consider this area to be the worst in the series and in the game for me, and it gets better after it (as long as you stack Frenzy stuff later on ;D)

Frenzy it's a pain in the ass.

Get Eileens Armors or use the Hunter armor since it has amazing Frenzy Res

Is it better than the cane? Really want to switch my cane with something else :P

Man. I am so not a fan of
Unseen Village
.
The constant respawns until you find the maiden get so tiring.

I was thinking about the same thing and to be quite frank: I'm gonna keep that stuff until someone finds out what they can be used for; maybe special weapons like in the previous Souls games.
