Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Really? What level are you?
I think the key to that fight is simply having a lot of stamina so you can dodge infinitely.

40 odd, I think I'm okay level-wise, it's just the timing I need to get down. Melee guy has a running charge that I keep misdodging and once I'm down, they all converge and set me alight.

Goddamn this
Micolash
SoB. They keep saying you can interrupt it's beam attack in the later stages of the fight, but I've been killed 3 times now while trying to interrupt it's attack with my Ludwig Holy Blade in it's 2 handed state. Am I doing something wrong here, or should I just dodge that shit?

You don't have to let it get tot that section, you know the first time he runs away and he jumps down a level? If you were right on top of him when he jumps and you jump right after him press R1 you will land a hit on him and he will fall and fight you right there and then. He then never uses that beam attack. If you do this, and you end up fighting him in the room, I usually get some distance between me and him when he uses that power, it's easier to dodge if you are farther away.

Yeah, these fucking
Shadows of Yharnum
are my Smough and Ornstein. Might have to bite the bullet and go for co-op. Really wanted my first playthrough to be solo only.

You know where they spawn, to the right there is this massive tombstone, really tall. Get behind the tombstone, the 2 melee enemies will come after you, when they go around the tombstone to hit you you just run and get a few 2handed strikes on the third enemy, the one that casts fireballs. Rinse and repeat.

I do. I just haven't been able to get a good read on this flailing pubic haired beast

I have! Everyone died. My friend is leveling up his second character to 30 or so to help me.

im level 51 if you need help. i'll be ready to play 7 pm eastern. get your
numbing mists
ready

So does insight make the game more difficult the more you have? Now i have guys in the Cathedral ward with elemetal powers SMH. And that hooded guy that kills me in two punches! INSANE

Just beat the game. Got the "true" ending. I beat surprised myself my defeating
Moon Presence
on the first try. Definitely one of those bosses you don't want to use lock on with. But I did have trouble with
Gherman
until I mastered the parry timing.
I made the mistake of not doing chalice dungeons throughout the game, so when I hit endgame with nothing left to do, I got burned out on chalice dungeons real quick and decided to just beat the game. Probably gonna make a new character to help my friend who hasn't had much time to play and is still stuck on early game before I hit NG+.

Do we know how to open the hatch in B
yrgenwerth
yet?

In a future patch I hope they let you teleport from lantern to lantern instead of the dream and make the visceral attacks keep the enemy locked on.

Rom is fuckin destroying me. Hardest boss since father g

Rom is the easiest boss in the game if you are patient, but the hardest if you are not.

Just keep moving all the time when you see spiders jump, just keep moving when they land do a quick R1(or R2 is you have a fast weapon) attack it should kill the spider in one shot (they have almost no defense when on their heads).

Once all spiders a dead attack the neck of Rom(so you dont get stuck of rolled) watch his tail. If he lifts his tail triple roll away from him wait for him to do is projectiles then attack his neck 2-3 times and then bail.

You wont die if you are patient and clear adds. If try to kill him with adds are alive you are going to be in for a wild ride.

I wouldn't bet on the visceral attacks keeping a lock. The lock breaking after doing one of those power moves has been in the Souls series since Demon's. I doubt they'll change it now.

Lantern to Lantern travel would be nice though.

I was so excited to get that weapon, and I upgraded it to +8, I still think it is terrible. I tried using the Blades of Mercy, but I feel like too week, I have them at +6 atm.
I upgraded them to +10 and put good gems on them and now they're really really good. S-scaling at 10.

I noticed this too, but no reason to believe it actually opens. It's the exact same design as the
(open) hatch by the Cathedral lantern

Take out the first wave of spiders easily by hitting them from behind. Rom should only take 3 sets of hits, maybe 4 depending on your strength/skill, and this is made a lot easier by taking out the first set of spiders.

No co-op on that part. ha ha

circle the monolith so the fireball shadow can't hit you. Parry/repost the ninja shadow first until he turns snake head and then just dash him with a fast weapon. Listen to audio and dash when you hear fireballs. Don't heal when on the last shadow

I nearly give up on the game at that boss.

try shooting him. it's easier to just sidestep, though.

Finally beat his ass. Just stayed close to him so I could hit him just when he was charging up. Noticed that when you do it just a bit too late he manages to shoot of his beams.

LOL, what the....
I've just arrived the Unseen Village, and those respawing enemies are the most annoying thing ever. Will this be worse then Blight Town? Please no!

Yes. Go back down to like 11 insight and they stop. I found that even when I raised my insight back up (even to like 70) they never regained their attacks.

Yeah, kill the adds. It's annoying and tedious but it works. At first I just killed the first group but then after a few OHK deaths right at the end of the fight I just slowly took them out. Boss is easy after that but you still have to time your attacks.

bloodborne threead
!!!!!!!

i killed the minigun guy in old yharnam because he rolled off the side of the tower and died (rofl)

but how do i recover his items?

Heads up folks:

Saw Cleaver apparently has some hidden bonus damage that makes it to much higher damage than its on paper stats would indicate.

It's now the go to speed running weapon.

MAY be a bug, but it does like 20% extra damage to beasts.

Yes. In 2H Its charged R2 attack literally throws people across the room and leaves them stunned laying on their backs (Including Father G). Its R1 attack is fast using minor amounts of stanima and is a broad horizontal swipe. Its L2 attack hits hard and comes down at like an 80% angle great for kill stuff on the ground and it almost always stuns.

1H mode is solid. It has better range than Lorigs 1H mode. Useful for enemies that are easy to parry or when you are overleveled in a chalice.

I recomment 40 skill 30 arc to get the most out of it. So start allocation attributes time now for it.

30arc ? Ugh. Why not 25 (softcap) ? Either way you convinced me to invest some points ! :)

exit the game and reload. You can kill him easily by shooting him the moment you step off the ladder. It takes 3-4 shots and he's pushed off the tower

I defeated "VA" and touched her you-know-what but why do I feel like I did something bad? Not just because I spammed a shit ton of blood vials to do so....

Now the dudes outsides are all glowy...

I still believe, surely From wouldn't put something like that just to fuck with us...

open damnit!

There's a closed hatch in the building.

I never noticed. But so far there's a lot of unexplained stuff in this game. Top of my head

-Door in the cathedral ward.
-That hatch.
-The marriage ring.
-Beastform.

I hated that level. I killed the hunters and ran to the two bosses and I'm never going back... Tbh, I'm not a fan of almost any of these later levels save the castle.

question about co op. can you run whole zones with your buddies or just bosses? i got a buddy who might jump in because of me. im assuming he'd have to at least get to the first boss in order to gain some insight?

Can anyone explain the chalice dungeons to me cause I'm totally lost on them. I get the lore behind it but how do you progress? I did the first and earned a couple more of the same type whilst at it. There appears to be
3
other types and also I see people mentioning defiled ones. I hear some others are earned by bosses but I've beat a lot of them already and still have just the first type that
BSB dropped.

I tried starting another of the first type with 2 floors but I don't have the resources apparently. How do I progress to the next one? Am I supposed to do the first multiple times or something to get the mats to continue?

Once you figure out where the witches are and shortcuts, place becomes very easy. Just run past and kill them. Also I ignored the hunters.

Fucking hell. One-shotted by the first attack from VA.

I'm guessing the tactic here is to try and stay behind the boss as much as possible?
