Scholar of the First Sin just got stealth released on steam

welp

To people that did the defiled chalice, what did you do after the last boss rips its arms off? I think this fight is super easy until that, I can't figure out where to safely get a hit in.

Welp, I guess it was inevitable.
I'm ashamed to say it, but my temper got the best of me and the game made me finally throw my controller. At my couch. Unfortunately my laptop was caught in the crossfire. It now needs a new display.
I would like to send the bill to
Pthumerian Descendant
in the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice (or the person who put him there), but there's no one else to blame but me.
(This happened hours ago. Watching Furios 7 after that was... Weird.
The display still works, but it has a nasty "inkspot", bleed and other lines. Oh well. :p)

Go around to it's butt. It will just jump forward away from you and you can just continually whack it's tail. Note that this behavior only happens after it hits that phase of the battle.

From / Miyazaki really likes his "
you win but replace the bad guy at the end
" trope for his endings doesnt he? :p

It's a sad story...

Damnit FROM.. not like this..

Ebrietas
is such a skilled based fight. Got her half health but was short on vials :/

Any tips beside hitting her
in the head
?

Edit: she's not the final boss right?

Spent like 30 mins searching for his sorry ass and when I finally find him he one shots me with a magic blast

Oh well, tomorrow will be another day.

This sucks, I killed earlier the Bell Maiden from N
ightmare Frontier
thinking she would respawn anyways, and now she doesn't. So I can't get invaded anymore.

Between this and the constant healing from invaders, PvP is fucked up. Shame because the gameplay of BB is so good for PvP.

That does suck. I have said it before and I will say it again, the lack of robust Multiplayer systems, particularly PvP, will be the downfall of this game over the long term.

Farming for blood vials is getting old as hell; I'm doing optional bosses that have fantastic designs and difficult patterns and yet I have to stop to go grind for vials. They should be trivially cheap by this point in the game and yet getting to 99 so I can ignore it for a while takes three farming trips at least

Should have made you always spawn with 10 minimum, imho.

Is Eileen bugged?
She never showed up at Chapel Ward for me. Only thing I haven't done in the game before killing Vicar Amelia is going to the place that takes you to the Lecture Hall, which you can't do yet
.

On my first character
she never showed up at Chapel Ward either, but I randomly died on a boss with Tomb as my respawn point and ended up in the middle of the fight between her and Henryk when I respawned there.
No such luck this time. :/

Go all the way down the stairs from the Great Chapel, kill the big skelly on the right, and knock on the door

Went down the stairs to the central area where the graves are. To the right was a giant dude. Just keep going through the town?

Form Grand Cathedral go all the way down the stairs and from the big plazza turn to the right(you'll have to pass an axe-giant by),then to the left building and you'll find an NPC,follow the stairs down and enter the password.

It's a sad story...

Gotcha, thanks.

I have to say that I almost broke my no coop rule during the defiled chalice dungeons. I didn't have that many points in vit so half health is just brutal. It also houses one of the toughest bosses in the game. Like god damn whoever thought of that is a sick human being. Still made it and the Queen was actually rather easy I thought after people telling me that she was the hardest boss in the game.

Sigh. BSB is a bitch and I don't want to summon anyone to beat it. This sucks. I only have one Fire Paper left and I don't want to waste it on a bad run.

Walk right up to BSB, when it stands up to attack, dodge right. After it attacks, attack back once (or twice if your weapon is QUICK, or if your weapon second attack is LONG - like the 2H Axe second swing). If BSB's attack is the long dash, just retarget and go back to step 1. In later phases, there will be multiple attacks. Dodge right still works, however, don't attack until after the 4th attack (or you'll be hit on the backswing). If you get caught out in the open during the series of attacks (later phases) just dash back 3-4 times until BSB calms down.

There's really nothing more to this fight unless you take into consideration the poison. You don't even need antidotes since you can just out heal the poison you accumulate by being close (you shouldn't need to heal any dmg during the fight as you won't be hit if you dodge right). However, you could bring like 2 antidotes just in case.

Endgame spoilers question:

I'm at Margo's Loft: Middle where there are two pigs patrolling. I want to return and kill some optional bosses before I go into the final fight. Do I need to turn back now?

No you can kill her. That is not the final fight.

No, it isn't the last. It's optional.

Stay behind it at all times.

That happens to me too. One of the weakest boss fights in the game. Not because of that attack, but the level and design of the battle is just boring.

Seems pretty difficult to get summoned on this, just sat at
The One Reborn
waiting. Although it's a nice easy fight for souls.

Thanks! Worked perfectly even if it took a bit.

I feel like a new man knowing I can avoid that defiled hellhole from now on.

If you wanna know how to easily beat Micolash...
Turn right and go up the stairs as soon as you enter the boss room, take the next first right and clear out the two skeletons in this room. Now exit and go up the stairs to your right all the way up to the fog door. From here turn left and run to the end, then you should see him down the stairs, follow him straight into the little room where you killed the skeletons. They may or may not respawn while you fight him. At 50% health when he takes off, just follow, you go through the fog door and eventually end up chasing him to a room where he jumps down, then runs to another room and closes a gate, as long as he is headed toward that you can just take a detour and go up again, at the top of the stairs turn right and there should be a ledge you can walk on against the wall with a door there, drop down on top of him. He will follow the exact same route every time if you do it this way. You can skip every single add in the maze with the exception of those two in the room. When he casts his aoe attack just dash toward him while locked on, if you do it right you get invincibility frames through the whole thing and take no damage. Sounds harder than it is, once someone here told me the dodging toward him part I beat him first try.

As long as you stay close to the boss, the boss will only use the
tentacle
attack and punches.

This is what i did:Hit -> avoid
tentacle
attack and punches(but staying close to the boss) ->Repeat.

The boss will not use
magic
attack at all, if you are keeping a short distance!
