No, me too. I was worried they were going to get too grimdark with it (I didn't mind SMT IV but I don't love the aesthetic) so this is a wonderful surprise. Hype level has risen so much after this trailer

I'm not one to want grimdark everything, but wouldn't that have left a better impression? This could have been any JRPG announced in the last five years with a trailer like that.

Now instead picture a ruined city, Ike riding up a on a motorcycle... then typing on an arm-computer and summoning a demon as Hitoshura walks up beside him.

I'm just throwing things out there, but that would make an impression.

As someone who appreciates but can't get into SMT or FE, seeing a more Persona-like vibe from this game with some FE elements makes me very happy. T&A aside (maybe that's the P4 influence?), I'm so there on day one if it delivers. Love the trailer song too. Can't get enough of it!

At first I thought it was gonna be a combination of the RPG elements of the SMT series and the grid based strategy of a FE game. After that trailer ~ it looks like it's gonna be a game with Persona high school elements and probably SMT combat.

Interested in seeing more.

Also, that one dude is totally using Rasengan.

It looks like the battle system will be "atb"-like where character/ememy turn orders are determined by their speed, so I don't think it's core battle system will have anything in common with SMT or FE.

I don't get the "this doesn't look like Fire Emblem" comments here. It does. It's the same artstyle used in the Fire Emblem Awakening cinematics, Robin reveal trailer for SSB4 and Fire Emblem if trailer.

Morever, it uses some of the concepts in clothing design, weapon design, and rides. The pegasus looks all digital devil to me with the word technological elements and part car and shit, lol

Generally when it comes to TV/games/movies/whatever, that is what people are going to do. Usually it's "chibi" or "anime" or "influenced by Japanimation". On forums like this, they use it to describe pandering fanservice-laden games... I'm not entirely sure if there is a single word that describes that but for the most part I think people all get what is trying to be said.

The only persona connection I'm getting is that there's high school kids. Other than that the character designs don't look like Persona at all. The music doesn't have a Persona feel. The Battle system didn't look very Persona like...and there's pretty aggressive in-your-face fanservice on top of all that...

I love Persona and I don't get Persona from this at all.

Your not the only one I didn't feel a persona vibe from it either watched the trailer 3 times and still don't know how I feel about it I guess ok at best I'll keep a eye on it.

I am the only who is seeing that there are supposed to be look alike of some Fire Emblem character ? The red haired guy reminded me of Roy/Eliwood, the pony tail girl of Lyn, the almost naked girl of Shiida and the blue haired guy of Marth.
