So many tries on E
brietas
so many deaths with her at 1/8th health. Those charging attacks just always seem to hit me toward the end of the fight. Now I'm outta fucking potions. Time for 30 minutes of loading screens.

Destroyed
Amygdala
in the NF. Surprisingly easy, only took me two or three tries, including my usual "run in and see what the boss is like without preparing". Made the first mistake of
attacking the back legs/stomach that does fuck all damage. Once you realise you need to go for the arms or head it's not too bad. Patience in watching for telegraphed attacks and you can take swipes at the hands pretty regularly, which does a ton of a damage.

That does mean the last two areas I've explored and bosses I've defiled were totally optional though lol.

I figure now I need to continue through the
Unseen Village
. Unfortunately I'm stuck in the prison, where
those three hunters are absolutely wrecking me
. Easily the biggest wall I've hit throughout the game. Also need to go back and fuck up the hunter in
Grand Cathedral
, but that too is super fucking hard.

So with many people finishing chalise dungeons, did anyone get a blood rock in there or was that just a rumour / myth

Well, is this your first time there, or post R
om

There's a chalice glyph on the subreddit for a dungeon that has one. I can't access it yet, but have done other ones which gave me guaranteed Uncanny Weapons.

I just defeated
the witch of herwick
where the hell do I go now? Do I have to go after
vicar amelia
? cause I don't feel ready for her yet lol

Ok so I just started doing Chalice Dungeons and I just completed the
Pthumeru Chalice
.
And I thought each Chalice Dungeon had 4 layers. This one only had 3. I got the Central Pthumeru Chalice after the last boss, does that let me continue down further?
The whole concept is really confusing to me.
What does it mean when the Chalice has a Depth of 1 and another has a Depth of 2?

Here's an example of that damn defiled chalice dungeon boss. That charge hitbox though.

I'm uploading my actual completion of it now.

Depth is difficulty, has nothing to do with the actual size. I think they either have 3 layers or 5, don't recall seeing any other types.

Let's all coop it so we can have a +10 party :(

Is there anyone level 40- 50 that can help me fight Amygdala in Nightmare Frontier.

Been trying to the last hour but nobody seems to be offering help. online has been a headache since I got this game.

edit : no resume/suspend for me. booted up the game fresh still nothing.

I wasn't having many problems till today. I was unable to find a player to fight against R
om
, wasted more then 10 insights on it, until someone here on Gaf helped me in a private session. Now in Unseen Village I was able to call a co-op partner but he died in the way, after that I could not call no one, and spent more 3 insights... so I gave up and will go to bed now. That's by far the worst part of this game, and I'm not sure if From will do something about it.

One question. I fought the gatling hunter from the roof. Fucker just fell to his death. He gave me like 845 blood echoes. Do I have to deal with him again when I had him close to his death just because he fell off?

I just beat R
om
and the
sky turned all dark
. This game is a masterpiece guys. I didn't think anything would ever be able to eclipse Dark Souls, but goddamn if Bloodborne isn't close. I haven't even finished it yet. Praise to Miyazaki and the A-team.

No, but you will wanna go up there since his loot will be there

Nah he's dead just go back to the top of the tower after you respawn again to pick up the loot

I've discovered a trick for that part. It's dirty but I didn't care since Unseen Village is an entire annoyance.

You know that "balcony" very near the lamp, where you can fall on a shooter and near the 2 dogs?

Ok... kill the shooter, the dogs, the girl with the bell, the golem and the 3 enemies in the way. When you're done lure the hunters and run nonstop till the balcony and place yourself between the 2 trees over there! Then the hunters will be walking in the other side of the fence, near the staircase. Just spam charge attacks against them (I recommend with an Axe, two-handed form).

Take care with the one with a bolt weapon though. His attacks can easily hit you and are devastating, so just pay attention to it.

The Nightmare Headstone is aptly named. The enemy designs at this part in the game are beautifully terrifying, especially
the first enemy to murder me with Frenzy
. I think the scariest moment of my playthrough so far was
opening up the lecture theater door and seeing a dozen of those horrible ghost scholars turn my way and start squelching towards me.

Nope, he's gone for good.

Lol. I just cheese the guy at the end of the Eileen quest line.
He's using a Chikage which when transform increase attack power, but does a little damage to user. I got close and let him transform the weapon. Then, I ran away. After some distance, he reset and walked back to his starting spot while continuing to take damage. Once his life hit zero, that was the end for him.

Farm up, backup save, reload save so you don't have to farm again. :)

I just got her to 30%, but the Lightning attack wrecked me...I noticed a loud whining noise, is that a hint to get out or what?

ha i beat him legit first playthru. second play thru tonight i wasnt strong enough so i ran down the stairs away from him and he ran down the stairs after me and just stood there looking at me and died. i thought the game glitched cause he just kept losing health. i thought he was poisoned or something now i know why.

Don't know if i want to
join the Vileblood covenant or Executioners.
. anyone have any insight on which would be best for a str based hunter?

I got wrecked about 6 times at C
ainhurst Castle
by L
ogarius
. Only got him down to 30% on my best run. Last 2 times I tried to cheese him by
trapping him in a corner, waiting for him to do an attack with his main weapon, and interrupting it by attacking him 1 time, then repeat the process
. I saw a guy do it and it made the boss essentially get stuck in a loop of just repeating 1 easily countered attack. Didn't work out for me though.

I'm thinking of taking a break from this boss and going to U
nseen Village
. Are any of the 2 bosses there easier than L
ogarius
?

kind of confused about this trophy guide I am following. It says this regarding an umbilical cord:

The moment you kill Rom make your way through the Forbidden Wood and up Iosefka’s clinic. Find her laying on the table and dispatch her for the one missabe Umbilical Cord you needed

I am pretty sure I just killed
Iosefka, it was the girl who throws out the skid looking arms right? I have not fought Rom yet, is this something I will be able to do later?

Not that I especially care about this stuff, but I just noticed the meta for the game dropped to 92. Not sure which review did it. Also noticed GiantBomb and EDGE's reviews are still missing in action. Wonder when they'll drop?

Took down
VA and the Ws.

VA was way harder. Ended up using my fire papers to generate enough damage. She's a huge damage sponge.

The Ws fight was just me running away from the monsters while I tried to find the those invisible bastards.

I guess I go right from the
cathedral
now?

You can be in all the covenant. Whichever covenant ruin you equip is the one you are currently joined to. Don't want to be in one, don't equip any covenant ruin. Doesn't make much sense, but that's how it works.

Paarl
is kicking my ass. Any tips? Schould I fight him before doing
Rom
? I'm level 46.
Tip
Attack it when it's "charging energy", it'll fall flat on the ground and you can hit it several times, also oil+molotov cocktail is devastating but it moves so fast that's difficult
