Where about is that located? I've beaten VA

lol they made that area too well hidden I have to describe the route every 3 pages or so :P

"from the grand cathedral waypoint walk outside, follow the road/stairs down until you reach the huge circular square with the giants, take a right turn, immeditately go left into a building. From there follow the path/circular stairs down until you reach the gate to the woods'".

Where's the best place to farm if I'm fighting The O
ne Reborn?

Is there a place to farm Chunks yet?
A
fleshwolf
in that area dropped one for me. If you're only trying to upgrade one weapon, though, then I'd recommend just finding the ones laying around in different areas.

Maybe im just a good player but at the end of the game i had about 16 vials left

NG+ and ive beaten

Cleric Beast
Father Gascoigne
Vicar Amelia
& Shadows of Yarnham

And i have the full set of 24 vials on me as well as 99 in storage. The game is telling me i cant pick up more its kind of funny cause so many people are saying how annoying farming is and here i am chillin with 99 vials. This is why you drop some of them echoes into blood vials in the dream instead of exclusively using them for levelling.

Finally finished my first playthrough last night. Took around 45 hours and that was doing all bosses (except chalice dungeons) and just exploring the shit out of each area. Probably died less in my initial run than any previous Souls game (not saying that's a bad thing) and didn't really hit any road blocks as far as bosses until the final one. Not sure if I'll be replaying this to the length I had DaS1 (close to 1K hours), but I'm definitely not done with the game yet. As mentioned, never did the Chalice Dungeons and I'm going to get the platinum eventually (not in any rush).

How did people manage to beat/seperate the
3 hunters in Unseen Village
? Brutal fight that, it's like Ninja Gaiden on steroids

It's basically impossible to fight them at once, I ran to that left area trying to draw them out one at a time. They would still usually all fight together but if you do it enough you can usually bait them in a way where you can get a few hits in on one of them

Is anyone else getting thoroughly fucked repeatedly by the Shadows of Yharnam? I need tips badly.
I seriously don't know what to do or who to kill first. I tried killing the fireball guy first but then samurai jack goes apeshit on me with his sword while his buddy uses a damn flamethrower anytime I get close. Not to mention the attack that spans half the map.
This is the first boss I got to that made me put the game down and have to collect myself. Been 3 days now. Anyone got any tips?

Yeah I'm trying to just get one of them pissed off but they all seem to realise what's happening pretty sharpish and kick my arse

Goddammit!

For the past three days I've been at a brick wall when going up against V
icar
A
melia
. Last night out of frustration, I decided to try and do something else. Luckily I came across E
ileen
for the first time in the Cathedral Ward after missing her in the rafters, and I started her questline. I then went for a gander around the Cathedral Ward and found the place with the two hunters (electric, and annoying gun-spammer). I killed the electric guy on my first try, and after a few attempts I cheesed the other guy by using corners to my advantage. I then sought out E
ileen
again and helped her defeat H
enryk
.

Fast-forward to today. I decided to face V
icar
A
melia
once again. First, however, I spent almost an hour farming blood echoes and buying up as many vials as I could (since repeatedly dying against Amelia quickly drained my reserves).

Anyway, when I eventually challenged her again, I coasted through the fight first time, only using five vials in the process. The exact same thing happened me in Dark Souls against Gaping Dragon, and that was my "get good" moment then. Hopefully this has been my Bloodborne one! Now, onto the Forbidden Woods.

Edit: Am I right in guessing that the path up the hill from the area where I fought those two hunters is the way to Hemwick Graveyard?

Apparently you can lure them down to the jail cell (bottom floor I believe of that building), close the door and slap their shit up from the other side of the gate as they can't open the door.

I did not know this so instead ran around the massive room slapping the nearest one every so often with my Ludwig. Sometimes ran upstairs and back down in a clockwise fashion and sometimes 1 or 2 of them stand still making it easier to finish off the one nearest to you.

I only died once against them as I didn't know all 3 would attack at once. Second time around I had a much easier time. Benny Hill theme would have been appropriate with the amount of running around I was doing.

I found this to be one of the easier fights as I killed them first time.

What I did was actually ensure I didn't kill any one of them too soon. The best way is to try and get them all down to low health so you can finish them off quickly one after the other. Otherwise if you kill one at a time they'll end up pulling off some real major shit to fuck you up. Ensuring they go down within seconds of eachother means they won't get further than phase 2 (where they start doing some new crazy things but still manageable).

In terms of how I killed each one, running around without lock on to try and get one nearest to you and then strike him a few times, run around and repeat. Do not try and go toe to toe with any one of them as they'll all gang up on you. Run, strike, run, etc.

The fireballs are easy to avoid as a result.

What I did was
go down the left way from the broken lamp and then sneak attack the person down there. Then I'd run back to the previous area (which I had cleared out) and they'd be the only one tailing me 1/3 times
.

I just start in Central Yharnam and run left - kill the 2 ogres, then run up the tower and kill the 2 werewolves, and then kill the ogre and take the cleric beast bridge back. You get about 10-11 blood vials each time and it only takes literally a minute to rinse and repeat.

I used the threaded cane and it's whip range. I just circled the fireball guy while swordy and flamey chased after me. I did not use lock on as then I could see the fireballs coming.

Focus on swordy and you'll catch flamey from time to time. By the time I put swordy down, flamey was at half. Flamey is quick to go down after that when I switched to rifle-spear and charged him a few times.

Then fireball.

This was a really long and pretty stressful fight but one you can get the first guy down, everything improves from there. Focus fire on one guy.

Can someone help me with A
mygdala
? I defeated her in one try before, but in NG+ she's destroying me.
Level 126

Can you summon help before
Rom? I attempted to and when someone did get summoned, they weren't able to walk with me through the fog gate.

So Bloodborne killed my DS4, and I didn't even throw it. Left analogue failure in the up/right direction. Kinda expected better.

How hard is NG++ in comparison to NG+?

I want to beat NG+ to get the proper ending but at the same time i dont want to level over 120 because thats where i hear the PVP will be taking place for the foreseeable future

Yeah I'm trying to just get one of them pissed off but they all seem to realise what's happening pretty sharpish and kick my arse

There is a pretty fail safe way to cheese them.
Run down to the basement, go into the cell, shut door, strong attack through cell bars.

I do the exact same run!

I add in the Big Brick Johnson and the two half-werewolves at the end of the bridge that leads to Father G as well. That usually nets me a full potion pouch.

You and my keyboard and shirt = RIP

Thanks - I might do that. Chasing them trying to hit them (they dodge a lot) ends up with the other 2 mercing me as I feebly swing at the one im going after. I use Ludwig's Blade but I might skill-up the whip just for the range / speed on it if it helps that much

this helps too - I probably need to try and get them all down then make short work of em... my issue is I get greedy and keep laying into one and then samurai runs up and slices n dices me and then flamey gets his barbeque on

I think the recommended order
is taking down the fire caster, then the swordsman, and then finally, the fire breather. That worked out for me on my umpteenth attempt
.

use the huge tombstone to lure them in circles around it and hit the first one to come around it hard and then back away again - so the others cant hit you with the magic attacks

anyone know how large the level disparity between you and a cop-op partner can be? I'm 53 and he is 33.

I heard from someone -7 and +7. could very well be correct.

Lmao

Cheers for the tips all. I'll have another crack at it now

What are the top tier weapon(s) for bloodtinge runs?

There is a pretty fail safe way to cheese them.
Run down to the basement, go into the cell, shut door, strong attack through cell bars.

lmaooo nice maybe I'll try that in this ng+ run i'm doing

Question, if you beat the game, can you go back into your save file or do you need to start NG+?

it dumps you into ng+ automatically. You should make a back up before the final fight and restore it afterwards if you still want to do some other stuff - or get another ending.

I still prefer dumping my remaining blood echoes for vials.

Since im going to the hunters dream after each boss its just

Leveling up > repairing equipment > remaining echoes on vials.

Its still much preferred than going out of my way to get vials through farming.

Most of time i end up with 7-15k left over even after spending on vials.

I'm a str/vit build but this video helps! Thank you.... I'm excited to try them again and snap my controller in half once I get off work :D
It will feel amazing once you finally pull it off. :) I know the load times make it several magnitudes more painful... Let us know how it goes later.

So small update on my first playthrough. VA is down, witch sisters down, shadow twins down, Rom down, adn i'm on layer 3 of my first chalice.

Things I just found out. I could put stats+ runes on my character at the alter in Hunter's Dream ;(

Change armor based on the level.

Stop worrying about echoes. So many times i've stopped after clearing most of the map to then run back to the lamp just before discovering an even closer shortcut to do exactly that.

Thought Blades of Mercy would be great, Got it to +6 and I still hate it.

Love this game

Whaat they're amazing. Always be using them in dual wield mode pretty much. And the dodge>attack is really, really strong. You can stunlock R1 spam almost all enemies to death provided you have the stamina because it attacks so fast (and speeds up after the 4th hit). It's my favorite weapon by far.

I feel weird guys...I keep hearing the
Witch of Hemwick
boss is so easy but I needed three tries to kill it (I was somewhere around lvl 20 at the time). Yet I got bosses like
Shadow of Yharnam
on my first try.

I'm doing something wrong. :/

forbidden woods? If you have beaten VA already that is.

ok then, without spoilers, go to cathedral ward waypoint, go up the lift in the sideroom, cross bridge, jump down, in the pit look closely for a hidden balcony with a closed door. Get there and go inside. If you can stand the mindfuckery there might be one item in there. You will get another one from beating a boss in one of the nightmare maps (after yahar gul)

Thanks dude :D

I made a video of my Rom kill

Motherfucker took me like 10 tries. I ran out of Vials and farmed them for about an hour, and I got him on my first try after that. So much unnecessary farming :P

Rolling instead of locking on helps out a lot. I got them down on my first attempt by pretty much constantly rolling and doing quick damage as I was coming out of the roll. I think I killed the caster first, and the sword wielder last.

Actually, rolling is a very effective strategy for a lot of the bosses in the game.

I have my BoM at +9 now and they straight murder things...

I think the only redeeming thing about me dying multiple times against it was that every hit was a OHK, so I never wasted any bullets or vials.
You missed some opportunities to hit it while it was teleporting, though! I bet your beastly weapon could have even interrupted it.

Consider beating any boss in 1-3 tries very, very good progress.

I'm pretty experienced with the Souls games, and it's taken me 2-3 goes on all bosses so far (I'm about a third into BB). I consider that good progress.

People say "git gud" but there's no right or wrong way to play the game, and no rate at which you should progress. However you do it yourself is fine.

The main thing is to be enjoying it! Everyone's game and rate of progress will be different.

The times I tried that I'd get one-hit killed by a jumping spider. I decided to take no chances this time.

It was slower but it worked!
