Unfortunately I'm not actually sure. I did the optional part early. When I went back some of the spots which had loot earlier were now repopulated with different loot. I dunno if someone else can comment on that.
ok can someone tell me what the hell just happened??
I will spoiler it just in case
I was in the Cathedral Ward and I noticed this new enemy off to the corner that I never saw before even though I've been in this area numerous times. (area with the guy that gives you the fire paper) This enemy jumps at me and basically kills me in two hits. I die and I come to in this area I've never been before. There is a woman praying in one corner and a bunch of man beasts and those same enemies that killed me before. I go through this one path that takes me outside and I run into a boss fight. I forgot the name, dark pearl is something, but it was the one that IGN teased with the electricity. Basically I get my ass handed to me and I glady die so I can get the hell out of this place...BUT then I start right back in that same place again. I go up some steps to run into two more of those super strong enemies and THANKFULLY find a lantern. how the hell did I warp here? Was it because of that enemy killing me outside the Cathedral Ward? I need details people lol That humbled me real quick because I've been cruising through the bosses without any problems. BSB, Fa. G C. Beast...all killed in my first attempt...but this place...HUMBLE PIE!
That's actually how I killed him. I killed all of the spiders in the first wave, then used bolt paper and went to town on his body. Then I just rushed him on the subsequent wave, ignoring the little spiders, and killed him. This strategy took 10 tries to finally work though.

deep sea rune + great deep sea rune + frenzy resist gear
455 frenzy resist and a single one would still fill the bar to 85%. Fills slower though, easy to eat a sedative. I was able to kill them 1 by 1 without eating any sedatives and just letting the bar drain back down after each one

So, after screwing around and doing all the extra content I could, I finally went and completed the game (and apparently chose the "bad" ending?). Does anyone know of a good website that lists all the things you can miss for a playthrough? I'm not looking for an in depth walkthrough, just something more along the lines of:
Before first boss: Talk to X, Y, and Z
Be sure to get Item Q
Before second boss: Talk to Y and Z again. Get Item A, B, and C.
The host has to die for it to be a wipe. You can continue on if it's a co-op ghost.
I hated helping people do
Rom
. Not even just because of the host dying. The health penalty meant I could easily get one shot. COmpare that to when I did it solo, I beat it second try because things weren't one shotting me.

bloody bag they attacked you With that looks like it had a mangled corpse inside of it? They incapacitated you and stuffed your body inside that bag, then transported you to their prison so they could do lord knows what with you.
Safe to say that the ending boss theme is up there with Gwyn and Allant.
Would give the game a 9/10 overall. I think it's the easiest in the series and the boss fights were a little bit average in general. The world itself, although incredibly detailed, dense and atmospheric, lacked variety when compared to Demon's but especially Dark Souls.
Still an excellent game and easily my favourite next-gen game so far. I'm hoping NG+ ramps up the difficulty to make the boss fights a bit more memorable.
It creeps until it is nearly full after being seen for me. I avoided fighting them though, it's super annoying if they grab you since the frenzy will fill up and they do just enough damage to make sure you die.
Well doing awesomely on bloodborne so far if I do say so myself, which I'm surprised at, as I'm so far surpassing my friend who has beat all the souls games and even thinks of himself as a souls fan and bloodborne as a system seller for him, while I only beat like the tower knight in Demons Souls, and I think lit the first primal fire in DS2, didn't get so far in 1 as it was a terrible PC port.
On like level 106? now, on the way to getting platinum, all thats left is
Getting the third ending with the umbilical cords, which I have ready, Defeating Yharnam in the chalice dungeon, which has been crafted and first boss in first layer beat, and then getting all weapons, which I'll get in NG+ after I unlock the third ending
I've really loved the game so far, way more than I thought I would and I'd go as far as to say I feel its the best game on the PS4 I've played so far. The fast paced, aggressive/offensive nature appeals so much more to me than the slow paced, "defensive" stance from the past soul games, though I feel I do want to give them another try again.
Got a question for anyone on NG+... What exactly do you keep? Never got to NG+ in a souls game previously, so just wondering if I keep all my consumable items, blood echoes, etc.?

51 hours 5 minutes and 66 seconds laters I have finally completed Bloodborne.
I ended up going with the choice to 'Die' and waken from this nightmare. Yet while I was so sure when I made the choice the scene of my character kneeling with the backdrop of the moon the Gherman about to behead me made me regret my choice for a moment. Then when my hunter woke to the rising Sun I realized I made the right choice. I will find my worth in the waking world.
I go into helping people with Paarl wearing a dress and crown. Some people probably thinks is this guy for real. Already, probably killed him 20x in 30 mins.
I think maybe my fight bugged, however, as I never got
the rather infamous snakes involved
so when 2/3rds were down I literally just stood close to the him and hit him four times, let stamina regen while staying as close as possible, him him four times etc... not going to complain, like. Seems a tough boss for most.
When I first started I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish it due to me not liking hard games. Fuck that was such a satisfying experience. The bar for GOTY has been set.
Whoa almost got rekt by a swinging spiked log trap. Heard a noise like something wooden activating and falling and saw it coming for me. Rolled backwards, almost off the cliff then it broke off the rope coming towards me making me roll again. That was some Indiana Jones shit lol.
also consider that you use much more stamina in BB in comparison to the other games, you move much more, you're more aggressive etc.
you'll notice that especially in pvp.
I won't be surprised if 40 endurance or at least 2 stamina runes are going to be part of the "new meta" or most used builds.
Take it slow, one hit at a time. I basically waited in front of his face for him to do his biting attack, and swung my sword once at his head when it was done. Over and over, after his various forward bite attacks. Dodge when he got ready to do his lunge attack, but he didn't do that often when I was keeping close range and in front of his face. Only times I think I went to his sides is when he would throw up just to get a hit on him while he was doing it. Also run away when you see him charging the aoe. Never overextend yourself and just take it one hit at a time.
I had trouble with him in an earlier dungeon so I worked out a good way of beating him before it so was able to clear him in Defiled on the first try.
so, i cleared the healing church workshop's upper level of those 2 wheelie flamethrower guys, right? now there's just a locked door up top, and i can't find the key. suggestions?
