about that one.

I have sent her back to the chapel. I also sent that crazy guy back there and looks like he killed the old lady that was in there. Can anything happen to Arianne?

Yes,
she was dead when I went back later in the game, all that was left was her shoes (which I gladly took)

Cathedral Ward/Grand Cathedral (its in middle). You can go through the place requiring a password now. My problem with BB is that it takes obtuseness too far in cases like this. You've no way of knowing you have a password.

Actually, there is a way. An NPC told me where to get the password. You just have to assume that the cutscene
after you touch the skull
is giving you the password, which makes sense if you've gotten that info before.

The problem for me with the story is remembering the names and voices and faces (and windows) of NPCs and what cutscenes I've watched after hours trying to deal with very challenging gameplay. Like, the cutscene at the church gave me two names I have already forgotten ><

I asked earlier but didn't get a response: are we sure Insight is linked to game difficult ala world tendency beyond little gimmicks? Because I've only lost insight once to an enemy that drains it, and otherwise haven't spent any. I'm sitting on like...48 at the moment. The game is totally management, but I'm curious if I'm steering towards an unreasonable difficulty spike or something.

Cheers guys, this worked. Isolating them was actually pretty fucking easy, killed each of the three on my first attempt.

Some enemies seem to gain moves after 15 or so, but I don't know if it really keeps getting harder beyond that. I ran around NG+ with over 90 for the majority of it and it didn't make much of a difference from what I could tell.

Some enemies gain new abilities when you have high insight (I think past 20 is when they start?)

There was a video posted in here some time ago that showed the effects.

After getting a few achievements, I went ahead and beat the game.

Gherman is an asshole but it's a really great, intense fight. I went for the cannon ending, and by the time I beat Gherman, I only had 3 blood vials left. I somehow managed to beat Moon Presence; luckily, she doesn't have that much HP. I finished her off with a Molotov and having about a pixel of health.

So what are you guys finding the best way to invest blood echoes to your build? I'm currently level 22 and have:

21 Vitality
11 Endurance
14 Strength
13 Skill
7 Bloodtinge
6 Arcane

Where should I be pumping my points too? I'm thinking of either going Strength or Endurance next. Thoughts?

shit...

is it a guaranteed thing to happen?

I'm really not too sure, I'm guessing it depends on how far you progress before going back or if you send a certain other person there. I really couldn't tell you, all I know is when I went back it was pretty much the end of the game, well just before it. Luckily I was able to get the item I needed elsewhere still.

Finally broke through and the game clicked for me. Went from cowering weakling to dapper beast all of a sudden. Felt like I was beating my head against a wall for awhile there.

if you mean the homeless guy, I don't know. probably? I killed him immediately. I think Arianne can also get killed by the lady you rescue from Hypogean Gaol if she sees you accept Arianna's blood, but I got her blood before I rescued that lady and never used it, and nothing happened. She was fine until after Rom, then I killed her and her baby to get the cord (was only trying to kill the baby, but she died too)

Kinda.
You need to kill the shit out of that guy before he kills her. Otherwise they will all die there, killed one by one.

that person isnt there anymore unless i am blind and am just missing him. Its just
her and the bloodstain on the ground where the old lady was.

so can people list why Defiled is so hard apart from being half health?

It's mainly the one boss getting people, but it has shitloads of HP and has a move that if you get hit by it will typically be an instantkill unless you put on some runes to get higher HP.

Also, blood vials scale so even if one attack whacks off 90% of your health it'll take multiple vials to refill. The boss took me 14 minutes to beat, which is a long time to be really cautiously fighting in a game like this.

ah ok

Then it will be harder :)
Bosses buff when you summon others.

You srs? Huh...

The only boss ive co-op'd was BSB and I had him down first try. The guy I summoned seemed to be fairly good though. Went up against BSB as a 3 man team and it didn't feel any harder... (Summoned died - happened multiple times)

(late game boss) Where the hell am I supposed to go in the
Micolash
fight after he
drops a metal wall between him and you.
I already beat this in NG but I can't for the life of me remember where to go. Hearing the dialogue over and over is starting to get annoying.

Remember when he runs up and drops down the first time to get away, run back up there, but this time, there's a different place to drop down and meet him in the closed cage for 1vs 1 action.

Just outside the area where the others are, sitting/leaning next to a wagon. Straight ahead from the lantern, through the archway. There is also the chance of losing her to
the cleric woman, if you rescued her from the Unseen village prison. There are some conditions for her going on a murder spree. I don't know the exact details on that one.

I think you
head back up a floor above where you are now and there's a hole in the floor you can drop down on to him from.
. I know, vague and probably non-helpful response.

Maxed out on everything, NG++ is super easy, but I need to max out a few more weapons and finish off chalices for the trophy.

Then gonna start a new character thats completely skill and grab
mercy blade and crow set.

Yeah, I thought NG+ was rough at the start but ++ feels simple.

LOL. No wonder you're having a hard time man. I almost beat him but got caught. Try to parry him when he swings his scythe or sword.

This is my second playthrough, I eat him at level 40 solo last time so I thought I would be able to beat him with some help. I havent even walked in the boss room yet.

what lvl are you

just turned off my ps4 but im fairly certain its close to 200?

Anyone got any tips for the hunters in
Unseen Village. Three is one too many for me to handle.

Run past them all and take a right out of the cathedral, run down that long path and try to snag one of them at a time. If you use the hunter axe its a joke. Just charge that r2 and nail em with the tail end over and over.

If i go to new game plus now, do i lose all my chalices, weapons and inventory?

Nope! Just game progress and story related items (keys, etc).
