Goddamn I hate hate hate the enemies that
sing, frenzy, and grapple you
. I can take a lot but this is just unfair horseshit. Fuck frenzy... Cool idea ridiculous execution.

Ok, so wow. I was wondering around in the Forbidden Woods and came across
the aliens. Don't think I've ever dodged so much in quick succession in any other part of the game than when those bloody things repeatedly fired those triple lasers lol. Luckily I managed to kill them all and just about survive.

I don't know how you can say O&S was easier solo than ANY boss in Bloodborne...

Difficulty is subjective, who would have guessed it?

I struggled more against Cleric Beast on my first play through then I did O&S. Not that O&S was easy, mind you. But BB was a harder game for me then DS1.

That echoes glitch makes me damn scared to go into the forbidden woods. That place looks massive. I'll inevitably end up wi tons of echoes, get lost and die, and not be able to retrieve them.

To describe this game as 'easy' is way off. Sure it's not super difficult but compared with it's peers, it's pretty fucking difficult.

Just woring through NG+. Tell me, if I summon for help or am summoned, will I only encounter other NG+ers. I ask because I didn't summon anyone on my first run through and figured some co-op could be fun

Surely the most bizarre enemy in the game! Totally out of keeping with the rest of it

I'm just saying, I've beaten all the games, I found BB to be trivial. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but DS1 and DS2 were harder (minus a few dud bosses, obv.).

I beat them first try solo ( I only play offline). Got killed a bazillion times by Ebrietas. Arguing about which of these games are harder is on the same level as "which FF is the best?". Rather pointless.

I think that this one is harder for the simple fact that you can not shield up in Bloodborne.

I don't know, that sounds like confirmation bias to me.

Bevis and Butthead were hard because it forced you to take care of 2 enemies with different attack patterns.

Subsequent boss fights following that paradigm have been easier because of my experience with Rocky and Bullwinkle.

I have no idea where to head or what to do now.
I've already been kidnapped to U

V

The latest bosses I beat are:
  • V
    icar
    A
    melia
  • B
    loodstarved
    B
    east
  • W
    itch
    of H
    emwick
  • D
    arkbeast

Someone please throw me a bone here. I've been wandering aimlessly through the game for hours and can't figure what's next.

That's fine. No one is doubting you found it easy. But as I said, difficulty in this game is pretty subjective.

For example. I found DS2 to be trivial in terms of difficulty. But I doubt that's true for everyone. I found the majority of Demon Souls to be pretty trivial too aside from a couple of bosses.

Did you go through the door that requires a password in the cathedral ward? it'll open after you beat vicar amelia. leads to the forbidden woods

Just throw a molotov bro

Ugh really is there anything that can be done about these singing frenzy things? Feels like they are just there to ensure you do a suicide runs, I can't see any fucking way on earth it would ever be worth fighting them.

Regardless, difficulty doesn't make the game better or worse, it's a masterpiece like the rest (IMO, I know a lot of people hate DS2).

Oh god damn, totally forgot about that bastard! Haven't tried that yet! THANK YOU!

Also, I found out that the CG trailer plays if you stay long enough in the main menu. lol

Thanks for all the tips on the bag dudes. Much appreciated. Just beat
darkbeast
as my 6th boss. Now I don't know where the hell to go. Don't necessarily need help yet but I feel like I'm one of the few that gets lost so much in this world.
And two hours later I still don't know where to go. Guess ill find out eventually.

I stumbled into a really random enemy in the chalice dungeon earlier. He wasn't a boss or anything but he had some unusual tactics. He didn't seem designed for the area either and as soon as he appeared, he was gone again.

I've seen a lot of those guys in Chalice Dungeons before... often guarding chests. Not sure why yours was rolling so much though and not sure why he rolled away through a wall as if it wasn't there... that is weird.

That's a side boss. It doesn't lead anywhere. What is the last main story boss that you beat?

I made so much progress today.
Stopped when I got to the outside of the Lecture Building, reached a
hunter, fell down while fighting him, realised I was in poisonous water, tried to run but couldn't because the water was making me drag myself, got attacked by a giant flying brain after avoiding all those nasty enemies on the ground that my horizontal swipes couldn't reach - even locked on! -, got frenzied (whatever that means)
and died instantaneously. Quite a horrible combination of events.

Still, I'm happy it happened, or else I would not stop playing it today. So addicting.

Is anyone finding this game extremely easy?

Other than some boss fights, I find very little challenge on this game. It seems that dodging towards an enemy, either to their left or right, is sufficient for taking down just about any enemy. This includes bosses, Cleric Beast was nothing but dodging into whatever arm was winding up to attack me. Blood Starved Beast got me once, but only because I forgot my poisen resist. That giant
white fox thing that you find praying
a cakewalk.

The only boss I had a problem with was
electrified-looking Cleric Beast thing
(forgot it's name). This is because you're forced to dodged into the enemy, attacking it's head while it does it's wide-swipes.

Granted, I had nothing but problems when I began. It seems I've ramped up quicker than the game has, and I doubt it'll change it up enough to by the end to keep combat challenging.

Want to add as well; any humanoid player-like enemy (other hunters, like the second boss), I have found to be incredibly fun/challenging.

For me, however, all hunters - besides Henryk - have been cakewalk, while bosses are a bit harder for me to measure my dodges correctly. The boss you had problem was VERY easy for me, and the others, after Father G, have been quite simple to beat, but, still, more challenging than the hunters and I am having fun with all of them.

People say the Chalice Dungeons get pretty hard. You should try those.

I've just slain V
icar Amelia
and the W

. Where do I continue? I don't want to look up walkthroughs, but could use some pointers. Thanks!

So I just started this game and I died of course...but uhhh where the fuck are my souls/echoes?

You can pick them up where you died. Either it will lay on the ground or you have to kill the enemy to get those echoes back. If you die, they're gone forever.

GAF:

What level do you guys recommend for c
ainhurst castle
?

I have also left out the optional n
ightmare level
and the last boss in u
pper cathedral

I want to finish those before I continue with the main story line.

And yeah, this game is pretty fucked up. Love it.

So that part of The
Nightmare Of Mensis
with the 3 pigs and
Shadows
is ridiculous! Just screams of we'll try and stick as many enemies in as possible to ramp up the difficulty.

So I've now finished Demons Souls (ages ago) and Bloodborne. Here's the kicker. I've barely touched Darks Souls/Dark Souls 2. Should I?

run past the pigs and pull them to the shadows, they'll fight each other

I actually found Demon Souls to be the most trivial personally. Bloodbourne has easier bosses than DS2 for me, but the common enemies seem harder than anything else in the series for me(I've finished the game). I took out more bosses on my first try in this game than I did in any other souls game than Demons, and though
Logarius
destroyed me almost 20 times and
Gehrman
got me 8 times almost every other boss took less than 5 tries.

But I got my ass absolutely handed to me by the common enemies, all the same(maybe it's because I refuse to use the gun for parrying just like I never used a shield in the souls games).

There is a key in the
unseen village, it's on a prisoner in a cell, you need to drop down to it.

And then you go to cathedral ward
(right side, where the lift is), the right door and climb that tower, there is a door to upper cathedral.

Well I died and I did die again but I figured I could get the souls that I gathered on my way to my death. That's how it always worked before. I don't see them on the ground and I killed all the enemies in the area. Maybe it's a glitch, I dunno. Oh well.

this game has a really good OST, some boss themes are really fucking good. it's easy to miss some of these great tracks since you're usually very focused on the fight rather than the music.

last (not true ending) boss and Amelia themes are my favourite. I love the Lullaby too.

how do you get to the item near the roof of V. Amelia's room? I killed her like 5 or 6 times but I noticed that only now. I even thought that I explored everything in that location.
anyone? :t

just totally blows. Between the poison swamp and the singing things, it takes the award for hands down the worst zone so far. Why From thinks that movement slowing poison swamps that are mandatory to traverse are somehow fun and has to put them in every fucking game I do not know.....
