Is there a point to the chalices? I've gotten to Lower Pthumeru, but so far it's just a dungeon to grind. Is there any point to it? Does it come at the end of each area, like Pthumeru, or does beating Pthumeru just give access to the next? Is there something at the end of the rainbow? I'm doing a blind-run, so I don't want to know exactly what, just if there's a relevance to it, or not, or if it's just an alternate place to grind for things.

another question about umbilical cords

if I killed Iosefka and arianna (in the clinic) earlier is it imposible to get them now

Real quick. Fuck rom. Looks so easy and simple but everything hits like a bus. And I've died to bag man 5+ times and never get taken anywhere.

Go just outside the Vicar Amelia boss fight and go all the way right where you have to go down. There are two hunters, one with a lightning mace. Kill or ignore them. Past the two hunters, there's a bag man standing before a drop onto some other enemies.

Edit: Where are you in the story?

I am in the forbidden woods killed
BSB, Witch, and Amelia
also killed those two hunters already...

The Chalices increase in difficulty with depth. All Chalices with the word Root in them are randomly generated and thus have a chance for loot (along with Blood Rocks). Any Chalices without Root in the name are preset and have preset loot and so on.

There's a couple of trophies relating to Chalice dungeons too, alongside some important lore bosses.

doesn't matter how much i played of this game. the sounds the crows make still freak the shit outta me. i dunno what they used to make it but it's effective.

Witch
has really great boss music. I think that fight would be really fun and creepy if the area you fought in didn't seem so boring. Either if it was less gray or was a different shape. Maybe in a forest clearing?

There is only one thing that pisses me off more than stupid rom. It's when people say "ignore the adds", "keep moving".
The fact that you don't follow that advice is probably why he frustrates you haha. He's easy if you do.

Jeebus Crikes this game is great. The combat feels so good once you can parry like a champ and know a few good transformation combos.

I follow the advice. That's why i hate when people say it. Because it doesn't work. It's a matter of luck.

Just beat it! Didn't get the perfect ending but still feels good. Onto NG+ to get the remaining trophies and perfect ending.

Some annoying bits along the way but all told. What an excellent game.

so what i've noticed about NG+ is that the enemies don't do that much dmg but they have way more friggin' HP.

specially bosses but parry deals so much damage

though, i don't feel much of a difference in terms of enemies or extra stuffs

that's what works tho lol
Not really, it depends I guess. I tried that once and they were too much of a bother to me, so I tried killing every-single-one of them. Far easier in my opinion, if you are patient. I guess it depends on luck or playstyles? Definitely is't not like ignoring them is THE strategy to use.

Just beat M
artyr
L
ogarius
at Cainhurst.

First thing is that that peaked my interest in the lore a huge amount.
You read all about him in item descriptions and all this stuff about being a super important but sorta off hunter. Then you see him and he's a damn king and his name is prefaced by "Martyr" and it's like...yo wait, hold on here. And then you climb the tower to find the Queen of the Vilebloods and the description on the crown implies that he put the illusion up and guarded the crown so that no one would ever find her because she was too dangerous. But then you go up there and she's just like...this apathetic lady. And doesn't do anything. But you can kill her and...get her flesh then bring her back so...like...jesus what is going on there?

2nd of all the general consensus seems to be that the bosses get easier and less interesting as you go on, but if anything I've been having a blast with the last 3 I fought
Logarius, Amygdala and...someone else?
and the fact that I didn't die into the 40s but only the 10s or 20s made them super fun and enjoyable for me.

Maybe it's just cause I suck at this game that the later bosses are still super fun for me.

Holy shit!!

the fucking Sky is crazy as hell now that I beat Rom! All deep purple and black and blue and the moon is turning red!!' THIS IS BADASS!!!

I remember my friend pointing out that the crows sounded like dogs and being weirded out.
I can't wait to see his reaction to the crow-dog hybridsh hahaha

Hmm, :/

Not sure what you're doing man. drags you around and you can just spam away.

Doesn't work for me..
her legs/etc just end up clipping through me and suddenly I'm in front again..
. Would be so much better if camera in this game didn't suck at times..

Lol, finally dealt with a
Death Dealer
for the first time out of morbid curiosity at level 45 and fucking wrecked it. Killed two, now I'm ready to turn myself in to one to explore
the prison

There is only one thing that pisses me off more than stupid rom. It's when people say "ignore the adds", "keep moving".

That's exactly what I did. Well, not ignore, but never attacked them.

It took me 6 tries max to win that fight. Am genuinely shocked it's so hard for everyone. Makes up for everyone who did BSB in one where as I spent hours across days on it.

worked for me in main game and in the dungeon. i guess it depends on how much trouble you have dodging the adds. i find them a nonissue as long as i keep moving and get the mob to open up some space.

whatever works for you guys.

Still having trouble with E
bretius
.. Insane range, constant movement, you can get stuck on it (can't roll around easily),
pew pew pew lasers
,
frenzy
,
health drains away if near and in 2nd part
.. And worst of all, it has a
2nd boss
with it that refuses to let me do anything! C
amera
!
