Stay close and circle strafe him to avoid his other attack. He only did that spell when I backed too far away.

Sounds like a glitched fight to me.
Did she ever fly in the air? or cast a mist sphere? or dive at you?

I found that if
you try to stay a bit away from her she will start using some longer range jump attacks and another one with a ranged shockwave which are both pretty telegraphed and easy to avoid

yeah, that's nothing like the fight i had; for one thing I couldn't get behind her because she spins so fast. I dunno if you stunned her out of doing the second phase or what. I was using saw cleaver and doing a lot less damage per hit (but more hits at a time).

That weapon really is ridiculous.

I don't do anywhere near one shot damage, she puts a sphere that drains you life and has a homing instant kill move.
try closing application and restarting. that usually fixes it.
More people ringing bell for help than offering their own help.
Plus the match making itself is pretty borked as it is.

Just beat "that hunter" in the
grand cathedral. Easily my favorite fight in the game so far. I'm a sucker for Vergil styled rival fights where they can use your techniques while still being difficult to fight and it was just an awesome fight with a great setting. It even had dialogue during the fight!
i didn't get all the damn dialogue cuz i died during it. she didn't repeat them when i had a rematch.sigh
It really is so weird that people are having such dramatically different experiences of which bosses are hard and which aren't. I found VA dead easy (first try) and R(TVS) challenging but fun (6 tries maybe?) and had the hardest time with BSB (at least 3 hours across two days.) I see way more complaints about VA and R(TVS) on here.

You can visceral attack her by hitting her head at a specific point in her wind up, not with a gun but with a weapon (at least I never managed it with the gun), and the second phase included a series of laser blasts that would kill me from full health (at 35-40 VIT no less) in one hit.
I wonder how much of this is weapon balance, how much are bugs, and how much is personal style/skill.

He had a different boss fight than you.
You had the Hunter that wounded Eileen where as he had Eileen as a boss fight (because he didn't beat the Hunter in the Father G area).

The chalice dungeon shit added around 24 hours to my play time (74 total I think) and I can safely say that I never want to set foot in another dungeon ever. That was fucking grueling the entire time and I will have nightmares about those defiled layers for the rest of my life. Thank god that's over, seriously.

Yup, it's just doing the same move over and over again. That's nothing like the fights I had.
You should probably quit out or fully power down, you've triggered the boss glitch somehow, and closing the app and relaunching fixes that. The rest of your boss fights are probably going to be ruined otherwise.

When he brings his body in to recharge his electricity, and then blasts his AOE attack, the framerate slows down so much that it eats your inputs. If you don't move your camera to get him off screen quick enough, it is 100% impossible to move out of the way of this attack. I've dropped him to 20% a few times, and I will absolutely kill this fucker, but this is a serious problem.

You also unlock her weapon in the shop for 40k blood echos and it looks like a skill weapon. Gonna grab it now since I'm a skill build.
Eb was the hardest boss in the game for me, her move set is ridiculous compared to almost every other boss, lol. BSB was the 2nd hardest for me, and I think anyone who says that was easy had a bugged fight too, the grabs were so random and punishing for me.
I did the first Chalice dungeon, and obviously way over leveled for it, but it wasn't really that interesting to me. Not sure I'll bother with the others.

the dude coughing you talked to in the window by the lantern turned into one of those 2 legged beasts from old Yharnam. Dropped a rune called Clawmarks
It's not you that's cheesing them, your game is glitching out; this has got to get fixed soon, it's a real disaster.
EDIT: I played the whole game offline and shut down my PS4 between sessions. I never had bosses doing that kind of thing, but as we can see other people are. In fact, Kotaku's review mentions the game kind of limps along at the end; in the comment section it turns out his game experienced this glitch and he never saw more than one move from the second to last story boss, which is just nuts!

Might be a bit of spoilers for the actual questline, but in my case, I found
her bloody and wounded right by the steps of the cathedral and she tells you not to enter the cathedral since her prey is in there. Once you beat him and talk to her again, she first admonishes you for going against her word, but then hands her badge to you and more or less passes the role of "hunter of hunters" to you since she deems you worthy. She also gives you an Oath Rune that boosts stamina regeneration
Ya that's glitched out for sure. She's even doing the head stomp while you're behind her. She has moves specifically designed to keep people from hitting her backside, but kept using her close range front move only.

oh no, not another one. Eb should be one of the hardest bosses in the game. Something is seriously wrong. CE is pretty easy yes.
That's ones of the worst parts, you can't tell if it's just a wimpy boss or you're hit by a glitch without seeing other people do the fight. They really need to fix it ASAP.
It sucks since I've seen some of my favorite fights hit by it.
Martyr Logarius, Wet Nurse, Ebriatas, and Vicar. Even Micolash's dumb ass will just try to punch you and do nothing else.
CE was easy as hell. Eb was hard for me.
so did From glitch the fight after the patch? i killed her a day before the patch came out.
