oh no, not another one. Eb should be one of the hardest bosses in the game. Something is seriously wrong. CE is pretty easy yes.

Was it a glitch? The boss didn't really move from it starting position, but it may be because I stayed really close and R1'd for a really long time.

weird. must be just some bug for some people then. cuz i tried the cheese technique and she definitely didn't just dawdle and let me hit her sides and butt forever.

she even flew and slammed into me. that hurt.

Might be a bit of spoilers for the actual questline, but in my case, I found

her bloody and wounded right by the steps of the cathedral and she tells you not to enter the cathedral since her prey is in there. Once you beat him and talk to her again, she first admonishes you for going against her word, but then hands her badge to you and more or less passes the role of "hunter of hunters" to you since she deems you worthy. She also gives you an Oath Rune that boosts stamina regeneration

That sounds awesome, especially that

rune. Gonna have to try again for side quests on my next playthrough because so far I missed out on a lot lol. But yeah, her weapon is at +7 and is already A scaling and that transformed moveset <3

No, she has moves specifically meant to keep people from getting close and getting behind her. If you're behind her all she's doing is head slamming and waving her arms around something is wrong.

Oh. I was using Bolt Paper on a maxed out Cane. Maybe I staggered her? She did drop her head on me a couple of times.

No, she has moves specifically meant to keep people from getting close and getting behind her. If you're behind her all she's doing is head slamming and waving her arms around something is wrong.

I wasn't behind, I was in front and holding up on the left stick when attacking, and was pretty much there from before the health bar even showed up.

not much, just any keys that progress the game. you keep almost everything else. it's actually much more generous than NG+ in the Souls games,

A worthy sacrifice. The special attack you get right after transforming does so much damage. Transform, special attack, attack attack, untransform. Repeat.

With all the boss bugs it's no wonder so many people's rating on boss difficulty is all over the place. The first time I fought BSB all he did was one move over and over again. On NG+ and my second character he went fucking crazy. When I fought Ebrietas, all it did was a body slam when I stuck close to it and occasionally slapped me. Logarius did the same move over and over again the first time I fought him and now he's doing a whole bunch of crazy shit I didn't even know he had.

Man, I played Eb completely different from all these videos. I stayed far away and tried to avoid the charges and went for the massive head damage on the slams, with 3-4 visceral attacks.

huh, that explains it. kinda disappointing then.

Weird. I always quit to menu and then close application when I finish playing. I put my PS4 in rest mode instead of a full power down.

Man, Abhorrent Beast is nightmare fuel. I swear I dodged its attacks maybe half the time despite dodging at the practically the same points in its attacks. Got fed up and used poison knives after getting it to 50% health.

Onto the Defiled Chalice. I'm already dead.

Yeah, THAT is what's its like. And those lasers are one hit kills even with arcane defense runes and 40 VIT.

Oh i fought her many many times. Then right before bed I got really high and tried her again as a joke, beat her after 3 times and she definately wasn't glitched. Evelynn saved my ass.q

You can get 40k blood in a few minutes ny the end of the game. Try stuff out.

I get hit a couple times from the laser and almost die, but don't quite. Looking at it now, she does have the hp drain aura, I just never noticed it.

I used my ludwig's blade +7 against Rom 3 times. I switched to my Axe Cleaver +6 and killed him on my first try. That particular weapon killed the smaller spiders a lot easier and got a lot of hits in.

The ps4 patch the week of bloodborne's release was really really really bad timing. No one would of really experienced this if wasn't for the new automatically suspend a game in rest mode feature.

It's pretty lame how you only get more chalice materials in these dungeons. Need some loot to make them worthwhile. In the main-game you have shortcuts or loot right around the corner which keeps you driven. With Chalice's, there's nothing there, it's harder and the boss is probably BS lol

Also, just went in with 3 friends against Martyr Logarius several times and we couldn't beat him. 2 lvl 62s and a lvl 55. We just got our asses kicked.

The strange thing is, when I faced him alone a couple of times, he didn't do much of anything except swing his axe (none of the projectile attacks). Suddenly he changed and became ten times harder. Very frustrating.

I thought she was the hardest fight in the game (excluding Chalice stuff since I haven't done it yet). She has so many moves and if you mistime a dodge you will get tagged very easily. Big hitboxes on her moves too.
