People have said the
Ebrietas
elevator is or was glitched. Can someone give me context and if it was patched? My mate is playing with his PS4 offline, and if there's a glitch that looks him out he'll need to be prepared.

Am I missing something or is my game bugged? I fought E
brietas and died. Now when I try to take the elevator to it I'm told the device is not operatable. I think it's because the first time I ran back I forgot there was an elevator and fell onto the elevator switch at the bottom, thereby raising it. However the loading screen came up interrupting the progress of the elevator but making the device to raise it useless.

Someone please help :( I could just be confused because my first death was some 24 hours ago before going to bed and I'm now intoxicated, but I just don't know.

Edit : lol that post combo. FUCK.

fuckin' done. finally. now i just have to get the 3rd ending and the plat is mine.

but first i need to go lie down.

I've been able defeat every boss on my first or second try with little issue...But Ebrietas is seriously pissing me off.

Get behind him and lodge yourself into the V

Congrats!

This game has the best atmosphere and world design ever in a videogame. I am going that far.

Fucking incredible.

It's definitely up there for me. I'd call it a 3-way tie myself between Bloodborne, Resident Evil REmake, and SMT: Nocturne. It's too hard to choose just one, but all 3 games just mastered the atmospheres they were trying to create.

It wasn't patched but there's no real trigger on why it happens, it just won't let you pull the lever and it's not a drop you can survive.

Could someone Co-op with me to help me clear this bug I mentioned above? I feel like if another player landed on that button at the bottom it would bring it back to me...

Edit : level 56

I am at a total loss of where to go, I just cleared out the
forbidden forest and beat the two witches, received Ariana's blood... Went up the tower to the right of oedyn's chapel but the door is locked
help, please?

Thoroughly explore Cathedral Ward. If you thought you did before do it again.

Just killed the second Abhorrent beast, what a CHEAP BOSS. I hate that a can't use knowledge to overcome mechanical difficulty in this game and i'm tired of hit and run fights.

Well, I missed him my first time and if I hadn't I never would have beaten this game. I've never felt any fight in this fucking game was unfair until this
Martyr Logarius
motherfucker. fuck this fight and fuck this game.

So I fought both Shadow and Rom tonight. Beat both on my first try. Rom was pretty easy.

I found this too and I'm a long way from great at these games. Seems odd people have trouble with him.

Right Souls series question. I played the shit out of Demons Souls. Loved it. Loved Bloodborne Too. I did for various reasons miss both Dark Souls games. Annoyingly I am without a PS3 so my only option is DS2. It seems the most disliked of them all. Should I bother?

...well that's horrible.

Haha, fuck you Sh
adows of Yarn.
You can eat this ass.

Took a coop partner to distract the idiot with the katana, but once he was down the rest was cake.

Now I'm in Bzldkajdsalkjdf and these flying bugs are putting me in a frenzy. This game does not let up, does it?

And I know who the boss is of this area. He can go fuck himself already.

Going to quote myself once here for help. I know I'm still on the same page but I want the information together and also to add an addendum of PMing about maybe doing it tomorrow since I might sleep soon. I've been sitting here trying to summon for a while. I even checked if it was working and beat the boss for another guy which is infuriating now that I can't get into the fight.

I don't know of a fix to help you now that you already have the glitch with the elevator. But for other players, as far as I know the main trigger for causing the glitch is doing co op in the area. I was playing online and didn't do any co op, beat the boss, which then gives you a lamp in her chamber. From then on I helped others beat her by being summoned, because at that point even if the glitch occurs you can just warp direct to her chamber if needed.

Unfortunately at this point with you already having the issue you may have to wait for it to be patched to try the fight again.

As far as I know.

Killed
cleric, father g and BSB

You could go and do hemwick down the left side of the cathedral. Will get you access to
runes (opens the altar thing in the hunters dream
) and there are lots of twin blood shards there, so you'll be able to fortify your weapons and have some stat boosts from the runes, then go for VA again.

That sucks. Is there no chance of another player hitting the pressure plate for me like I myself did when I died? And I never once did Co-op near any of the
upper cathedral
:( I finally got another player into my game and when he tried the lever it didn't work, when he tried a second time it made a sound but didn't work, the third time there was no sound and then he rolled to his death but I'm pretty sure missed the pressure plate.

I can help test it again if you're level 32 or below.

Man, depth 4 and above chalice dungeons are crazy intense. Easily more difficult than the normal game!

Should keep many players, thirsting for a good challenge, busy for a long time!

So I bought they key to enter the top area of Cathedral Ward, but after climbing the tower and killing guys I just get to a locked door. Will it open once I progress a little further or am I just missing something?

Also, if anyone wouldn't mind, level upgrades are starting to cost like 12k so I'm trying to be smart with it and would love some advice. Here's where I'm at:

So I have 2 questions:

1) what does Madman's Knowledge do?, I have 22 of them but not sure when or why I shoukd use them. I've read it can scale enemies to be more difficult?

2) sometimes when I soawn back to the hunters dream, the doll is missing and I need to warp back out and back in a few times. Is this a glitch?, or is it triggered by something

1 - Using Madman's Knowledge will increase your insight. Use insight for online/coop or purchsing of new equipment. More insight = more difficult enemies.

2 - lol, she is not missing, she just relocates to the top entrance of the church.

Everything was going pretty good, I killed the
Blood-starved Beast
, then I killed a
Hunter with a shield and lighting weapon and a hunter with a rifle
, then right after some
new mob carrying a bag
I'd never seen before 1-shot me and I got
teleported to a prison
with nothing but mobs that hit really really really hard and take huge beatings without flinching. x_x What the hell just happened.

1. Yes, they do make and create harder enemies. You use madmans knowledge to let you summon MP help. However you can also use MK, to buy special items from messengers near the house in Hunter's Dream.

A large insight count will make the game harder, so if you do not wish to have that simply beckon people or purchase goodies.

2. Not a glitch, Doll moves about the place. She's easily found in different areas of Hunter's Dream and there's no need to warp out and back in.

Edit: Beaten

Wrong area, you're trying to access the Upper Cathedral Ward. Something you cannot do for a while.

The key you have unlocks a large gate, I think you go up some stairs where the big white giants are with axes.

So I've reached Cathedral Ward after killing Father Gascoigne and I saw some really lanky White haired thing walking around. Should I attack it?

Sure, but be careful. They're tough until you get their attack range down.

Nicely done. You will have a solid pool of players available for PvP if you stay at that level range.

This is the problem I have now, I'm too high a level. I cannot find jackshit for co-op and invasions. Gonna roll a new character soon and keep him a lowbie.

Huh, no way. I assumed it was the door in the Cathedral cos it was just open all of a sudden. Thanks!

that's Oedon Chapel, not the cathedral. HAve you been to the cathedral? (VA boss). If you start from there and follow the steps down until you hit the square with the two giants in white cloaks, take a right and then a left into a building. Follow the path to a new area.

Yeah that's what I am doing too. My first character is in NG+ at level 110, and I have been able to do some co op summons to help others with bosses. Having this guy run through Chalice Dungeons too.

But I think if you want dedicated PvP you need to have a low level build in mind and roll a new character, and cap the level based on what area you want to invade the most.

So far Bloodborne seems to have a much steadier difficulty increase, compared to Dark Souls which seemed to jump up at several places (Sen's Fortress etc).

I'm about 10 minutes into the Forbidden Woods. Are there any big jumps in difficulty after this, or does it just keep increasing moderately after each area is cleared?

Yeah, I can sometimes get summoned by a lower level for a boss. That feels really good to help others. But someone on NG+ or pvp is just impossible.

I'm actually really looking forward to creating a new dude and putting points into a completely new skill set.

Personally I think the difficulty progresses at an even rate until a certain boss you still have ahead of you. After this particular boss I felt the remaining difficulty by areas and bosses was variable. The very beginning of the game with a new character was where I was dying the most.

depends on where you go, you get access to more and more optional areas and the story path becomes less obvious. Difficulty between these varies quite a bit.
