I found this too and I'm a long way from great at these games. Seems odd people have trouble with him.

I think he is just a bit luck based depending on how agressive his minions are to you.
When multiple of them attack you at once it can be really hard to dodge them. And when you get hit once chances are another one attacks immediatly after.
And some of them are off-screen almost everytime because you can't really monitor them all at once, while attacking R
om
.

Yeah my game is bugged. I've now had three cooperaters tumble to their death trying to hit the pressure plate on the elevator for me and I feel like one of them should have hit it. The last two dudes jumped at the same time after a very long pointing and miming session I had with them.

Biggest BS death in this game:
I am on a Mensis elevator, and an enemy gets in with me as the door closes. No big deal, I kill him. However - and this is after the door is closed - his body proceeds to tumble around in the elevator, and it pushes my character THROUGH THE BARS and to my death.

Lmfao.

Sorry. I can see it in my mind and that really is bs of the highest degree, my word.

Some of the hitboxes in this game are awful. A thing dropped down next to me in a chalice dungeon and I got pulled into its OHKO grab animation from far away.

So, how "deep" do the Chalice Dungeons go? I've only gotten to level 3 on my pre-set Dungeon. Is it something I should explore more before completing the game and moving on to NG+, or does NG+ affect the difficulty of Chalice Dungeons in any way?

So far Bloodborne seems to have a much steadier difficulty increase, compared to Dark Souls which seemed to jump up at several places (Sen's Fortress etc).

I'm about 10 minutes into the Forbidden Woods. Are there any big jumps in difficulty after this, or does it just keep increasing moderately after each area is cleared?

I felt like the Forbidden Woods got a little nasty when you're about halfway through it. The enemies you're going to encounter hit fairly hard and are just creepy in general.

Personally, I think the game continues a steady rise in difficulty throughout. Though I think the early bosses are tougher than the bosses in the second half of the game save for like two. That's just my opinion, though.

That sludge enemy is the biggest piece of shit. The hitbox on that thing is crazy and the animation takes forever.

1. Yes, they do make and create harder enemies. You use madmans knowledge to let you summon MP help. However you can also use MK, to buy special items from messengers near the house in Hunter's Dream.

A large insight count will make the game harder, so if you do not wish to have that simply beckon people or purchase goodies.

Messengers near the house in hunters dream?, have I been missing this the entire time?

So there's random messengers that sell special items?,

Is it worth using the mad mans knowledge?

I agree - the bosses get somewhat easier, but you'll see some regular enemies that will make you tear your hair out. The areas are much harder later in the game as far as I am concerned.

Haha this is what the share button is for!

I think I've done lots wrong, as I'm not seeing half of what people are talking about. Didn't see Eileen fighting Henry at Father Gascoignes area (but i did die to him so maybe he killed her), haven't seen her inside or outside VAs cathedral. Don't remember anyone giving me their blood. Didn't get a music box.

I only just noticed some old person behind
me at the cathedral ward lamp who says to tell people about it being safe, and I accidentally found out about going back at the start to talk to iosefka
otherwise I'd have missed that too.

How are you supposed to know these things?

You're supposed to play multiple times and just find them at random, really. I missed a ton on my first playthrough, but that made sure I had plenty of new stuff to see on my NG+ playthrough. Or you can just find walkthroughs and spoil half the game for yourself, but I find half the fun is finding things by accident.

Yes it is worth using it, you can buy some great gear and items. It'll also decrease the difficulty for you a little.

Go up the hill, enter the house and on your right there is a window. Go through it and turn left, can't miss em. Or you can go up the little hill and immediately hang a right, they sit on a ledge in their bath.

Oh I forgot to add, you require 10 insight to be granted access to them. Otherwise the bath is empty.

Fucking Rom when he shows up in a Chalice Dungeon. You even have geometry to take cover behind, but damn if he doesn't hit like a truck.

Anyway, if you finish the game, does your Chalice progress also move over, or is that stuff reset?

So is that bug about leaving the game running for long periods of time screwing with boss fights real? I got into the game a weekish late and I've been trudging through it solo, but I noticed a a couple bosses were waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too easy and now I see that might be a thing.

Carries over. I honestly felt Rom was easier inside the chalice dungeons to be honest, but it's probably just me.

Last few bosses I've beaten are
Vicar Amelia, Darkbeast Paarl and the Witch of Hemwick.
When I was exploring the areas I was overwhelmed by the different paths, but now I've exhausted them all.
Anyone have a hint where I should be going next?

My Paarl fight was a lot of fun. It was the first time co-op worked, and I beat him first try.

Thanks. Will let the chalice dungeons be then and wrap up the final boss (spoiler)
Beating Gehrman was a rush, really good way of ending the game. I let Moon Presence off me so I could regain my vials. First impression is that he/she is much easier than Gehrman, but that AoE attack that brings you down to 1 hp is annoying.
.

Just finished my LVL 4 Waste of Skin run, the last boss was a RUSH!

Too bad my capture card decided not to record the footage so I'm stuck with the stream archive footage only. Here it is anyway if anyone is interested, I tried to play him aggressive and up front so it makes for a fun fight :)

That is absolutely incredible. You would laugh for hours if you saw how I beat that boss.

I wish I could do that.

How well did you handle E
brietas
? Any tips?

Elevator glitched so it's the only boss I couldn't kill on the run.

I had her down to essentially nothing before the glitch though, that charge move is nonsense, best thing to do is to actually just stand still, tank the hit and survive.

That move just doesn't make any sense honestly.

Right?! I actually survive it if I don't attempt to dodge it. The hitbox on it is insane. That's the only move that ends a run for me.

Examine the drop from Amelia.

After looking into it, yeah a couple of bosses were def bugged as shit. A lot of things in my first playthrough keep breaking, luckily I only did 2 bosses with reduced movesets.

Died to vicar when she needed one more hit.. It's been 3 days.. Sigh

I also had some trouble with her, when I did beat her it was over in about 60 seconds, just get up in her face, fire paper on an axe and spam r1 on her arms, she will stun quite often. You'll be amazed how quickly you can kill her.
