Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

I think he is just a bit luck based depending on how agressive his minions are to you.
When multiple of them attack you at once it can be really hard to dodge them. And when you get hit once chances are another one attacks immediatly after.
And some of them are off-screen almost everytime because you can't really monitor them all at once, while attacking R
om
.

Yeah, honestly the fight is broken, imo. Either his minions are super aggressive when you get close or he spams all of his abilities in such a manner that you can never get an attack in in the third phase. The only time I beat him is when his minions ignore me and he doesn't spam abilities. Most of the times I die it feels like there was absolutely nothing I could have done to avoid it (sprinting full speed and getting hit by 3 meteors comes to mind). Makes it feel like half of it is luck and that really takes away a lot of the satisfaction for defeating a boss. Would rather feel like I won because I controlled the fight well and not because I got lucky.

I think I've done lots wrong, as I'm not seeing half of what people are talking about. Didn't see Eileen fighting Henry at Father Gascoignes area (but i did die to him so maybe he killed her), haven't seen her inside or outside VAs cathedral. Don't remember anyone giving me their blood. Didn't get a music box.

I only just noticed some old person behind
me at the cathedral ward lamp who says to tell people about it being safe, and I accidentally found out about going back at the start to talk to iosefka
otherwise I'd have missed that too.

How are you supposed to know these things?
Oh crap! That is what happened that character randomly wrecked me and I seen he got into a fight with someone else as I was dying wow.

I immediately changed it into a blood gem, but apparently I have the password for
Byrgenwerth
now? Thx

do you know where the road to there is? If not:
walk from the grand cathedral to the square (just follow the stairs all the way down) with the 2 giants cloaked in white. Take a right into an alley, then a left into a building and follow the path.

I'm in such a tight spot. Seems the only things I can do at this point are continue throwing myself up against
Ebrietas
, or continue through the
Nightmare of Mensis
. That or grind chalice dungeons, which I don't enjoy much.

I will give the chalice dungeons credit for their enemies though. What they lack in level design they make up for in enemy variety that doesn't appear in the man game. Good for keeping me on the edge, rather than simply grinding nothing but familiar and disposable foes.

It's not you that's cheesing them, your game is glitching out; this has got to get fixed soon, it's a real disaster.

EDIT: I played the whole game offline and shut down my PS4 between sessions. I never had bosses doing that kind of thing, but as we can see other people are. In fact, Kotaku's review mentions the game kind of limps along at the end; in the comment section it turns out his game experienced this glitch and he never saw more than one move from the second to last story boss, which is just nuts!

I'm in the same boat, played offline and almost always reset between bosses but i think whilst resetting the ps4 helps i get the feeling there is no guarantee that you won't have a glitched boss fight.
I've seen nearly every boss act very differently on separate runs for different people, some never change their pattern of fighting and never even transform.
I don't think the patch solved this or did it?, i'm thinking of stopping until they fix this so i can play through the game from the start again properly.

Yep, I've explored that path before and remembered I needed a password. Thanks.

Last night I was up in the area with
two giant pigs in Yahar'gul
. The setting combined with the creepy music just sent chills up my spine. This game is something special. I'm putting it up there with Dark/Demon's, it's incredible on all fronts. Except for the load times.

Ca
inhurst Castle question:

So I ventured through the castle and it's library, slayed the ghost women and some little gargoyles. And now I am on the roof, but there was nothing but an item, forgot the name.
It has a fence all around, don't know where to go.

any pointers, GAF?

ladder on the bottom floor of the library

or if you already did that, there is a way to drop from that roof and round some little ledges to get to another area

there's a path leading off the roof to another area. You need to do some jumping

Seems like ive managed to unlock Upper Cathedral, Castle Cainhurst and Unseen Village at almost same time. Whats the best order to complete them in?

Holy shit, just defeated Father Gascoigne.

This is my first time playing this type of game, and while I appreciated that mechanically they were tight games, I never really got the crazy fan love this genre gets. I wanted to get Bloodborne a proper chance though.

He destroyed me first time around, so I decided to stay away for awhile and level up while learning the parry/combo mechanics. When I came back to him last night I did a little bit better, but then I discovered that wasn't even his final form.

So I tried again this morning baring in mind my previous experiences and holy shit I defeated him. THEM VICTORY FEELS.

So I was trying to scope out an area and then this happened - 20 second video.

He's a wimp compared to other bosses though, the real Bloodborne starts here.

But congrats on beating him. Defeating bosses in the Souls games is incredibly satisfying, especially if it took you a few tries. I really hope you stick with the game.

I felt like he was one of the harder ones actually, but I only progressed to the Sh

so far.

Get ready to be one shotted by
Blood starved beast
seriously screw that boss, screw it with a burning stake >_<

Martyr Logarius was kicking my ass last night. The only boss I've died multiple times on. The gun parry to visceral trick isn't working for me either. Every time I get up close, he just shoves a giant red magic skull in my face, instead of doing any melee attacks.

Any tips or advice for this boss fight?

I only did the parry in his second form, for the first, I used a very long range weapon, dodging the faces isn't too difficult from distance.

In that nightmare place now where it keeps summoning pvp players in, making me sad now. Furthest i got in there and i just lost to a pvp match (first one i lost as well, gutted)
Lvl 91.

As in, to pick off at him? None of my guns do a great deal of damage, so I can't imagine they'd be much use. Unless the Cannon can deal a good amount?

Anybody level 120 here could find a PvP player? I've been trying on my current NG+ run, I've made it to about halfway through the game, but I've only ran into two of them so far.

Am I gonna need to create a new level 100 character? I've put over 100 hours into this character & I leveled her up specifically for PvP, this sucks, I hope it's a network issue & not people stopping at level 100.

I always forget i have a password on. do not know if that effects pvp and have they fixed that suspend bug?

I used the rifle spears charged R2. Dodge the faces right, then dodge towards him to attack.

Worked for me anyway.

As far as I know the password only affects co-op not pop

You should be glad she didn't hit you because she'd have fucked you up otherwise lol. She's got two attacks that are very likely to result in your instant death if you don't have a ton of health.

He pretty much
stops casting outside of a summon attack in his second form. In his first form you'll want to chase him around. The magic is super easy to dodge up close. Once he gets mad and goes melee that's when you parry him. Takes a few and he should be down. If you don't know already to stop the sword summon, attack the sword that he implants in the ground.

Done with NG+

It was kind of boring gotta be honest, boss fight became an endurance race at some point

Might start again with a new build, such a shame From didn't add a single new thing in NG+ :(

I think I'm near the end of the game. Beat
Mergo's Wet Nurse
last night and that gate at the Hunter's Dream has opened. I want to go for the platinum so I'm guessing the best thing to do now is my Chalice dungeon runs before I go for the 3 endings? Really want to try them anyway due to all the new content/bosses that supposedly await me.

When he raises his arms to do that orb like attack, go in and combo him as it disrupts him if you get in quick enough. Later on in the fight he does a move where he plants his sword in the ground and this triggers a move where swords will constantly fly at you. Destroy the one he planted in the ground immediately to avoid this

This is what happened first time i played him. Took four hours because he just spammed magic non stop every 3 seconds. It was nearly impossible. All meteors hit me every time had no matter what i did. 45 insight at the time and thought maybe that was why. On ng plus i had 99 insight and beat him on first try. He barely did any magic. Complete opposite from first encounter. So broken.

Also, anyone confirm that the last boss in the chalice for the platinum one shots you no matter what? Heard that fight is miserable.

I did not know you could target his sword during that summon. Sounds good. Cheers guys.

You might want to d another run through the game first depending on what level you are. I was level 70 at end of first play through and the later chalices were impossible. I am now level 110 after 2 play throughs and still seems impossible. I might just grind for like 10 hours and level up. I think that would be shorter in the long run rather trying to beat it now.
