So is the jury still out on the cane? I remember back in ot 1 people were wuestioning its long term usage, and I just hit the second upgrade path for it and dont want to be boned on upgrading supplies.

Wish we could record at 1080P now that we can use external drives. I'm recording every boss fight. Watching them is just as intense as when I'm fighting. So many wild dodges. Should I exchange the " boss souls" for weapons or wait for a new game +?

You might want to d another run through the game first depending on what level you are. I was level 70 at end of first play through and the later chalices were impossible. I am now level 110 after 2 play throughs and still seems impossible. I might just grind for like 10 hours and level up. I think that would be shorter in the long run rather trying to beat it now.

I'm Level 80 so that might not be a bad idea. Was going to do NG+ anyway since I missed out on the Eileen quest. Haven't seen her once in the game :/ What do I lose and what do I keep in NG+? Same as Dark Souls/Demon's Souls where I just lose key items and such?

People havin trouble with R and his meteors need to stay within at least medium 10-15 yards ish distance of him and he almost never does it. i just run/rolled in avoid mobs as much as you can, stab 1 or 2 kite away to medium distance rolling when u can and repeat. watch where he teleports to and run back to that medium distance asap as well.

The cane is awesome. I finished the final boss with the cane no sweat. With the L1 reach on the thing, you can damn near stand in front of most bosses and hit them right after a spam attack, without having to run in. I used the can and B.o. mercy throughout and found the cane actually better in many cases.

. had a helper, mostly to clear the hunters around there, but they died within 10 seconds of the boss fight. i got it down to 50%, then died too. grrr. over 30k in a bloodpool, hopefully i get it next time. need to sleep for now.

game is fantastic. i want to say I miss shields, because I loved shields and how they looked, but combat is so fluid in this.

Holy shit, just defeated Father Gascoigne.

This is my first time playing this type of game, and while I appreciated that mechanically they were tight games, I never really got the crazy fan love this genre gets. I wanted to get Bloodborne a proper chance though.

He destroyed me first time around, so I decided to stay away for awhile and level up while learning the parry/combo mechanics. When I came back to him last night I did a little bit better, but then I discovered that wasn't even his final form.

So I tried again this morning baring in mind my previous experiences and holy shit I defeated him. THEM VICTORY FEELS.

The only negative I can think of is that it actually makes the game a little too easy. Its whip mode R2 attack is ridiculous once you're one shotting entire mobs and staggering bosses from a long distance away.

How? What level are you? What weapons? Did you leave your game session open for longer then 12 hours? How does it's long swings and lasers don't kill you???

I just took it down on my second try (but got real close on my first), like level 80. I didn't see a single laser, just blood vomits and physical attacks. Charge attacks left it stunned more often than not, fight was over real quick.

Bloodtinge 7
Arcane 7

Should I be upgrading either Skill, Bloodtinge or Arcane?, I haven't really touched them since the beginning of the game... just want some advice as i don't want to be stuck grinding levels later as there only at level 7 and 15

So I haven't touched arcane but I'd love to try out the magic items. If the stat scaling on arcane isn't huge then I'd probably be alright to do that. If scaling plays a large role, though, I should probably just start a new character right?

I'm level 72 and my stats are 30 vit, 25 end, 37 str, 13 skill, 9 bloodtinge, and 8 arcane.

Why'd you spread your stats out so much? You may be able to use anything but whatever you use won't be at its full potential.

Anyway, choose str or skill based on your favorite weapons scaling.

Your str is twice your skill, so in my opinion it's too late to put any more points into skill. Go with a strength/vit/end build the rest of the game.

Good to hear that you get a constant flow of people joining for coop. I would stop levelling I got my dude to lvl 140 and it's hard to find anyone even to help with I am it the end of my ng+ , will use that character for chalice dungeon. Last night I created another hunter which will be capped at lvl 80. Community hasn't decided yet about the unofficial cap but so far everyone is leaning between lvl 80 - 100

LHB scales with Str, Skill and Arc.

20 Arc is required for most of the "spells" - I wanted to use Old Hunter Bone and Choir Bell. I wasted 2 points on BT as I'd read Evelyn needed 20, my mistake. As for Vit and End... They seem fine, no?

I found her in central yarnham before when she gives you the shake off Cape emote, so that means she should be in front of the chapel, right? I can't find her here and I've definitely not seen her since our first encounter.

As someone else said, she

never moves inside the cathedral directly, but she'll be just outside and to the left by a railing if you head north out of the chapel. But she only appears there once you open the gates in the area (not JUST the 10k gate, but the other ones as well leading up to the Grand Cathedral).
