So, so much for not healing being an unwritten rule in Bloodborne pvp.

I didn't heal a single time and this guy healed like 7 times. Call it stubborn but maybe he'll learn from that and not heal the next time.

Still almost beat him like 5 times.

I REALLY like the pvp in this game, and I can't tell if its because I'm really good at it or its so fun. I just hope something is done about the healing.

Healing is part of the game, what is to be done is to heal and/or keep the pressure up so they can't heal. Or use the anti-healing mist.

Oh god I'm shaking. Just beat H
eadless
B
loodletting
B
east
in Pthumeru Ihyll chalice dungeon.

Feels so good when you figure out a seemingly impossible fight.

It's a similar fight, though I don't think they could've picked a more boring fight to pay a homage to if they tried. Though TOR is a better fight than TK.

Skill? Yeah. But the arcane stat only comes into effect if you put an elemental gem(at the cost of str/skill scaling) in it or use an elemental buff.

So Str/Skill should have the same points to get the maximum out of that weapon ?

Lol I ain't gonna not heal so someone can kill me, fuck that honorable duel noise. Anyone that tries to bow to me also catches a bone marrow shot to the chest.

I was wondering what the deal is with people clamoring for the 'no healing' rule here. There's plenty of ways to negate it and it's a major part of Bloodborne.

Edit: Should people also not use the regain mechanic in fights now?

I understood some of the duel rules in Dark Souls as it made sense there. I'm just not seeing it being the same in Bloodborne.

Well it doesn't matter if they're both under or over 25. But if you have one at 30 and another at 15, you should get the 15 to 25. They both have the same per stat effect other than that.

There're no unwritten rules in pvp in any souls games other than don't cheat. Beyond that it's fair game. The problem here is that it's waaay too easy to heal. I remember a fight where I had to get a guy to burn through 20 blood vials.

As a Milquetoast, what stats should I be buffing? I'm at V.A. now, and was wondering if I needed to farm a few more souls from the Sackboys before I took her on.

You're not really locked into any set class. Focus on whatever stats you want to specialize in. Vitality and Endurance are always safe bets.

Alright, I have 30str and 15 skill. But I think I am gonna go next with 15 arcane, because of the weapon
enchantment.

Your starting class doesn't matter so much as what weapons you like to use. You should be buffing strength or skill depending on what type of weapon you plan on using more. VIT and END are good regardless of build, so those are a good place to put points if you haven't decided on weapons yet.

Do you know how to read the weapon stats to determine what they scale with?

No unwritten rules in Souls games in regards to pvp? lol

Ya. I never got the "honorable" dueling stuff outside of people organizing PvP stuff. If someone invades, anything is fair game.

I'm at level 76 with

Vitality 30
Endurance 27
Strength 28
Skill 20
Bloodtinge 9
Arcane 12

And it seems like leveling Skill actually has higher ATK increases than leveling Strength does

Questions about the late game "Village" your return to.

If I got tonitrus and the gear the first time through, do I need to explore the streets again and fight those skull trees? Is there anything new there?

So I think I'm stuck. I've killed D
arkbeast
P
aarl
, V
icar
A
melia
and W
itch
of H
emwick
. Where am I supposed to go now?

Are you using Ludiwg's by any chance? I could have sworn it got more attack from Skill than strength at some point as well. It's both a B scaling but it might have a slightly better B for skill.

Yes it is

Perfect. Gotta practice that then. :D

You got a password after Amelia.

For the door near where the huge dudes with the axes are? If you know where I mean, just past Cathedral Ward and up the stairs? I've tried going there recently and it just says 'Keep Quiet' as an option to respond.

Did you watch the cutscene with the skull after
Amelia?

So is it really ill-advised to level past 120?

Everything i'm reading on reddit and otherwise is indicating that's the sweet spot where the PvP community is stopping

Any thoughts on this?

Strength and Skill both have soft caps at 25 and 50. If your strength is at 25 and your skill is under 25 skill will give you more damage per point on Ludwig's.

I did, yeah, but I was on the phone at the time so I probably missed something important haha.

Just went back to the place and I can say the password now. Must've done something to unlock it.

Here are some of my stats:

VIT 30
END 30
STR 25
SKL 12

The others are the lowes of my chosen class. Level 62 right now.
What should I do?

Upgrade more VIT/END until it reaches hard cap, or upgrade a bit of SKL? Or maybe ignore SKL and go for Arcane?

You lucky bastard.

I didn't go through the Village the first time, thinking I could save that area for later (because how was I supposed to know everything was going to change after Rom?). But there are diffrent items throughout from what I undeestand.

I'm feeling a further sense of acomplishent 8). So i did Gascoigne and have just now cleared all of Cathedral Ward right the way upto the lovely, gorgeous, sweet as a nut save me the fuck my game lamp....without dying! Woohoo.

Cue the multi level up, fortify weapon, add some gemstone effect to said weapon.

And now no doubt from here, even after all of that, i'll get the shite kicked out of me 8)
