Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Fuck the Defiled dungeon. I can't even beat the first boss, who has been pathetically easy every other time I've fought it.

I'm going to clear my head and try again later.

Man,
Micolash
can be rather a douche when he just spam's that
stupid magic attack
. He just kept doing it no matter what I did. Fortunately next try that didn't happen and I beat him. >.>

Yeah that was happening to me for a while during that fight and it made it very awful. He seems to go through his attacks in a certain pattern. If you get away from the
magic attack
then that dude is a piece of cake.

No hyperbole. I'm 32 and I've been gaming since more like 8, and I'd give it a similar assessment. This is one of those games I think I've been waiting to see most of my life, delighted to see it finally all came together.
Same with me. I've played all the previous souls games and this was the only one I was so excited to play all over again immediately after beating it. Before this game I had been playing MH4U non-stop, dropping 100+ hours on it already. Ever since this came out I haven't gone back to MH.

Not that I've grinded much, but out of curiosity why is that?

It's your game so you're free to play as you wish, but I personally feel like deliberately gaining levels in Souls games inhibit your ability to get better at them. Instead of learning the enemy and boss encounters, you're brute forcing your way through them.

Specifically with Bloodborne, I felt OP by the end of the game and didn't do any grinding. I'm not sure where others were finishing their first runs, but I was level 94.

Holy shit,
Shadow of Yharnam
was a tough ass fight. Fireball spam wasn't fun. Beat them in one go though, one vial left lol. Bolt paper worked well.

Just be glad he didn't use magic as soon as you drop down on him. One time 3 of his puppets spawned with him too, so that was fun. :/
Also, it didn't seem to work for my friends, but you can shot him out of that magic attack. Worked for me.

That was a fun boss -- multiple enemies done right. Actually, all the bosses in Bloodborne are fun. (even if none are too overtly challenging... that's left to the hunter encounters)

Having some trouble finding
Eileen the Crow
. We already met on the rafters and I do have the gate open but I cannot find
Eileen
near the Cathedral Ward lamp or at the Tomb of Oedon. I haven't reached
Rom
yet and I have defeated
Vicar Amelia
. I just reached
Byrgenwerth
. Anyone have any ideas?

Woo, M
artyr Logarius
down. I had to resort to an emergency bullet a few times to get it done and ended with zero blood vials left, but it felt sooooooooooooo good.

Sidequest spoiler:
I don't know what I expected at the end of Alfred's chain, but it was NOT that. Holy shit, that was some straight-up Silent Hill business.

I'd say the
squid guys
lol. They even suck insight out of you! I fear them to bits

Yup fuck those guys. I had no idea that disgusting parasite was gonna pop out of their head.

The enemy design in this game puts the entire horror genre to shame.

Oh as I said I already beat him the following try. It just sucked he wouldn't stop doing it that try, and shooting didn't seem to work for me. He did the tentacle attack as soon as I dropped down on the second try which I couldn't dodge. Not quite as bad as the magic one but yeah, rather a pain.

Is she the one in the top of the clinic? If so, I found the shortcut
to that through the forbidden forest through a cave.

One trophy away from platinum and the
Defiled Chalice
dungeon bosses are driving me absolutely mad.
These are not fun to do, having
my health cut in half
is crazy when you have bosses that can one shot you.
I made it past the first layer but the boss of the second,
Watchdog of the Old Gods
, is destroying me.

You definitely can't shoot him out of it, I don't know where that came from. Maybe you need a higher upgraded gun, cause it never broke the attack for me. I just had to stay as close as possible to him and he seemed to do it less, horrible cheap attack.

Yeah that's what I did too.

I've got my 14 year old cousin staying with me for a week, and she is currently asleep in my room so I can't play Bloodborne :(

Feels bad man

Damn man, still can't kill Martyr Logarius. Thing is, I've watched a few YouTube videos now and I feel like he's timid in their play throughs compared to mine. Even if I parry him for example, he immediately retorts with a magic counter, irrespective of how close I am too him. In other play throughs his reaction to a parry is to kneel on his knee ready for a visceral attack. That pretty much never happens for me, even if the parry animation goes successful. I'm also finding that I have barely any scope to get hits in. When he turns rage mode, he flails about melee slashing like crazy (3-4 slashes, massive wide angle, along with follow up magic slashes that emanate from the sword), my parry shots have no impact at all, irrespective of timing, and when he jumps in to the air to dive at me, the lock on breaks, as a result of which, only sometimes can I get hits on him when I dodge his dive, and attack as he lands.

It's weird because every other boss I've killed first time or second, but this one is doing my nut. Must have died about 6 or 7 times so far.

Take this video here.

The guy took off over a third of his health whilst Logarius was milling about doing barely anything. When I fight him, the instance the fight starts he's spamming magic attacks literally non stop, without a single break. It's absurd. I don't get why my play through is so different to the one's I'm seeing online saying they found it easy.

Here nib, I was just typing out a long response but since I happened to have a video taken of when I fought him yesterday, I decided to just put commentary over that instead:

For anyone having trouble with Mr Logan, hopefully this video can help. I didn't rely on any bugged move sets, and in fact this is a really sloppy fight, but it was enough :)

Considering all the messed up things in Bloodborne, I found it to be hilariously violent. Not only did he kill her, but he smashed her out of existence with a large wheel. The helmet made me think PH too.

Unfortunately no, I believe you are thinking of
Iosefka
. The NPC I am looking for has a
crow mask
on and you help battle some hunters eventually. I wonder if my game is bugged out or something, which would really suck...

I wonder why it works for me. The first time I did the fight I had a hunter pistol +6. Stunned him out of it everytime.

I just made my controller kiss the ceiling. Careless Whisper was playing.
The
Defied
Chalice dungeons are rotten lobsters strewn about the deck of a late 1960s party boat.

Can someone that knows how to beat Vicar help me? :( having a ton of trouble with her

Just stay behind her and learn her attack patterns to find out what's safe.

I'm also getting frustrated with the same boss. I'm level 71, but I've been unable to figure out the summoning in this game and have no damn idea how to even use the Gaf password in the OT.

Settings->Network:
Set to Worldwide and Enter the GAFcode on entry field.

After that you're set to ring your beckoner bell, and someone in your SL range and code who rings coopter bell (and only with that code if you put one in *gaf members in this case) will be summoned. From what I've tested, it helps immensely to be near the exact same spot when the bells are rung, like by a switch.

I'll be ringing my coopter bell for anyone who needs help on
The One Reborn
behind the wagon before the bossfog (fog side), SL 73.

And then
She's actually STILL alive due to her immortality. But she's stuck there as a smashed up lump of flesh. Pretty fucked up. At least you can revive her after you beat Ebrietas. Also, if you go back to where you met him for the very first time, you'll find that he committed suicide since his mission was complete.
