If only Bloodborne went that one step further and instead of chalice dungeons, we get actually designed Raid Content in Souls form, gimmi dem raid mechanics.

Love this game though barely trails behind DeS.

GAF I need help!!

For those that have gotten past Byrgenwerth and
Rom
- once you get ported to the big chamber with the
amygdala
hanging in the ceiling above you... I got taken by it and transported to the nightmare frontier. From what I've seen my next step is to go to the Unseen Village but now I can't find any death dealers to kidnap/port me there, and I don't have the lantern for that area because I got kidnapped by the
amygdala
... am I screwed? Can I no longer go to the Village?

Go through the door you opened after beating
rom
It leads to the village.

But how do I even get to that room where the
amygdala
kidnapped me now?

Right of grand cathedral.

Ritual Blood 4 and Bastard of Loran to get Defiled opened up. the blood is just fucking not dropping that much for me from the sack dudes. so tired of running back or using Bolds to reload lamp. anytime i see blood is required i just cringe.
The sack guy near the ladder, right? I did the same thing. That's the easiest way to get ritual blood 4. It has a 20% drop rate though.

Here's another method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV7pOaIyTG0

You should get 4 Bastard of Loran by doing the Ailing Loran Chalice layer 3.

wow that sucks to a huge degree... how much did I miss? I'm not even sure where im supposed to go now

You'll eventually get access to that area if you keep going through the door in the room where you got taken by
Amygdala

The other way to enter brings you to a different place of the same area. Eventually you'll see the lamp you could have gotten to, but cannot get there at all. And you missed a boss, an armor set and a weapon.

Yeah, after I got my plat (lvl 160) I was *done* with those dungeons. It's not that they are inherently bad -- it adds plenty of 'decent' gameplay past the main experience that some people will really dig for many hours. But there's a moment where your enjoyment is gonna shift, and they become horrible, boring, unfun slices of game.

I felt this at lvl 160. You went to 240? I mean, holy shit, the fact that you didn't literally die of bordom is kinda amazing and says something good for those dungeons, ultimately. Anybody who spends that kinda time with them is gonna end up hating them.

Hell, on NG+++ now, and I think I'm done with the main game. I love the hell out of it, but the content for me is absolutely consumed. And it's 60 dollars well-fucking-spent, so I don't care that that's the case. But yeah, it's over, the dungeons are over, and it was a great ride.

Well, I still absolutely ADORE the main game. It's just that on a Design and craftsmanship level I think the Chalice Dungeons are total and complete garbage.

i agree with people, Chalice is no fun. All I need is this one trophy. Why couldn't they just let us play through them? hunting for materials is just awful.

I haven't started Chalice-ing yet so I don't have an opinion, but why play it if you're not having fun? What's the attraction to getting a trophy/achievement if you're not enjoying yourself? (I turn off/ignore all that stuff)

What door? When I teleport to the moonside lake im just in the middle of nowhere... after I beat
rom
it immediately teleported me to the room with the
amygdala
hanging from the ceiling and then I got kidnapped by it. Do you mean teleport to Byrgenwerth and jump off the ledge into the water again?

You can still fight the boss and get the weapon at any time. The only thing missed is the NPC, not sure about the armor set.

The door Amygdala hangs above is open after beating Rom, you need to go there.

the door in the room with the
amygdala
yes. Right past it it's an open door, just go through and it leads to the village.

Yesterday the last place I died in was
at the second lap in unseen village.
Today I went to
the lecture hall
to get a few quick souls to buy vials and bullets and found 25K souls waiting for me. What an odd but fortunate glitch.

Ok for the love of God I can't find any help on google about this - I just found the monocular at the Cathedral Ward and equipped it... but now I can't for the life of me UNZOOM out of this thing. I've tried every button imaginable and I tried unequipping the damn thing but it won't zoom out.... wtf is going on?

They are. I mean, it takes a while to get to the point where you realize it -- they don't have any of the ingenuity, lore, and design built into the main game.

But it works okay for a while. By the time you finish
The Queen
there's no way anyone can think those are fun, well-designed dungeons. The fact that most of them *aren't* random, but look random, that's a bit upsetting. No effort on From's part there :\ At least many of the bosses are unique, I guess.

Oh, wow.

The
Micolash
fight is sooooooo bad. This game now has its own Bed of Chaos.

Use the item again.

Use the monocular again. It's an item. Use once to zoom, use again to zoom out.

you're right. but if it's just one to completion most people will do it anyway, heh.

once you have the chalice you don't need the materials, you can do a dungeon search and select one from the list.

I don't know how to get back to that room. The
amygdala
kidnapped me and sent me to the frontier and the only lanterns I have are:
lecture building and nightmare frontier

Go down the right path where VA was in Cathedral Ward. The opposite of where the
witches
were.

No, you can totally get back to that lamp and boss after
Rom.

Heh, that boss is like the one single well designed fight in the entire Chalice shenanigans. And yeah, the non-root Dungeons all being premade and not random, but looking like thrown together random garbage really irks me.

Well.. I'm at the final boss (I believe). The doll has told me to somewhere. Do I have to consume the
umbilical cords
or is having them in my inventory enough to get the best ending?

Nightmare Frontier is an optional area you can go through if you want, there's a lantern you can use to warp back to the dream. From there you want to probably go to the grand cathedral or whatever(where you fought Vicar Amelia). If you're leaving from her chapel, hang a left down the stairs and keep going and it heads to where Amygdala is.

Did anyone get B
lood
D
regs
from NPC hunters that roam Chalice Dungeons?
I've killed a few
with the rune equipped
but didn't get one, so I was wondering if those NPC just had a lower drop rate or if they just don't drop them at all.

Also, did someone find "
old great one
coldblood" in Chalice Dungeons? Only found the regular "
great one
coldblood" so far and apart from a few accounts, I haven't found clear evidence it exists.

Is Amygdala supposed to be easy because that wasn't too bad?
I just wailed away at it's tail, occasionally took some stomps or a punch but for the most part wasn't touched.

seems like the platinum for bloodborne will end up being a lot more common than in any of the other souls games

What is the % on PSN for games like DaS and DeS leveled out to? Last I looked BB is still in the .5% for Plat.

But yeah, I think... it's a difficult platinum, but it's more a battle of attrition I think. Can you or can't you slog through a bunch of boring dungeons?

I was also an idiot with that, discarded the item and don't know how to get it back.

I'm confused guys. I've started diving through Forbidden Woods, and thats just confusing as all hell to get through. I'm sure I'll manage, but is there anything else to do other than chalices? I've beaten
Cleric, Father Guacamole, Vicar Amelia, BSB, Paarl, and the Witches on that order, plus the first chalice.

I watched IGN's BSB video after my fight, to see how they handled it, and BSB did not fight anywhere near as aggressive as he did with me. It looked almost like an entirely different fight.
It seemed like there was almost no second phase where he goes 3-strike enrage mode.
