Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Alright I need gaffer theories.

I'm sitting at LVL 55 my brother is LVL 50
He beat the Witch of Hemwick
I did not.

I am going to becon him into my game even though I am a higher level.

We restart our consoles.
Set Search to Worldwide
Set password
We both stand at the lamp at Hemwick in pretty much the exact same spot.
He rings the resonance bell. Waits till it tells him its searching for the beckoning bell
Then I ring the beckoning bell.

5-6 min. Nothing

To test it I keep the beckoning bell going and turn off the password.
In about 5 min I summon a random fine.

WTF

Yeah, that's the zone. Also Chalice Dungeons.

It's kind of funny how quickly the game escalates. I remember always pocketing 2000 Souls/Blood. Then 10000. Then walking around with 140000 because going back to the Chalice Light would take too long and I don't feel like killing all of the enemies again. In the area you are at you can stack Runes and very quickly kill 3 enemies for 19000 blood with the option to continue for more or face the loading times again. Buying everything is very possible.

Yeah, that fight was annoying because of the running around. Not difficult at all since he was getting interrupted by regular attacks from me. Beat it on the first try, but took a longass time since most of that time was spent following/trying to find him.

Make sure the password is correct, did any of you start the game from a rest mode suspe d?
 
Goddamn, when you do a visceral on a giant pig from behind you're really just shoving your whole arm up their asshole, aren't you? Ripping their colon out.

? I've really had it. I've gotten it down to about 80-90% like 5 times time and then it one-shots me. HATE.
 
So I started a skill build to eventually make a chikage user, until then, i was wondering, is the rifle spear a good weapon?

I'm currently using the cane which i like a lot, but I didn't know what would be the most worthwhile skill weapon until chikage.

I'm gonna try out the blades of mercy as well, but I'm just bummed i wont be able to take advantage of the arcane damage with that

Yeah, you get a loooooot of souls in those Depth 4 or 5 dungeons. Find a dungeon with easy bosses online, farm it again and again, grow insanely powerful.
I'm currently at the hard cap on every stat so I'm just pumping my points in Vitality now, even though I don't really need it anymore :|

Still, if you make mistakes, you'll still die even at that level :D
 
Before moving on, I went back to the somewhat hidden swamp in the forest and my mind was slightly blown
when this path looped all the way back to the very beginning, hospital included.

This kind of design was just totally missing from DkS II

I still don't know how chalice dungeons work. I cleared the first one, but I don't know what materials to use and so on.

The only thing I can suggest is trying to do it somewhere else in the level.
The area by the elevator should be easy to get to. Where the hole is.

Zangba has a great guide.
I just went by the seat of my pants. You get the first chalice from an early boss. I made that dungeon and explored it completely. Keep doing that and it progresses naturally from area to area. They get really hard, but also become very lucrative.

Yeah, multiplayer in this game is awful. Kind of sad.

The
skull worms? Run past those too. If you find the shortcut elevator there's a entry halfway down the elevator you can get on. It gets you into a roof and then you can go behind them and avoid most of them.
 
Is there a compilation of the lore notes one can find all throughout Yharnam? I've written some but not all on my notebook. Might have to comb the city again, having access to all of them at once would be useful.

Yeah I'll give it another go tomorrow maybe. Kinda let down by how it's suddenly come to just running past everyone. Goes against the rest of the game.
 
I'm not gonna act like Micolash's dialogue aint addicting. It's one of the highlights of every run for me.

Question on gem'ing Ludwig's.

Currently, it's plus 6 with base 160. My strength is 20. My arcane is 16. The gems I have in it put it at +74 physical and blunt, +94 thrust. I have a Fire Blood Gemstone (3), that nulls all that and instead puts Fire at 160 with a +42, with one gem instead of three. What should i do? I don't know what's best. I also have my ax at +6 as my backup.

End: 40
Str: 50
Ski: 50
Bdt: 10
Arc:15

I like those numbers. So nice and well rounded. Now I never want to level up again.

Hitting for 190 +492 with Ludwigs. Got two 18% gems and a 12.1% equipped on it. It's brutal and only at +9 since I missed the Blood Rock thing on my first run.

? I see some messages about a special item to open a secret path/door, but they're probably trolling. I already beat ML and thought the
crown
would unlock more hidden paths, but maybe not. You can hear big footsteps behind a wall of bookshelves on the top floor, though.

It's a good weapon. The charged R2 2H attack has range for days. I was using it, but switched to the saw spear for the moveset.
