Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

I'm sure there's something I'm overlooking. I have a Fire Blood Gemstone, but I don't have an option to put it on my weapon within Hunter's Dream. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

My intent to go into this game blind started out so pure, but as the mysteries I knew I'd never figure out on my own piled up (
how to get the key to the Upper Cathedral Ward, what random rock to walk next to to make it to Cainhurst, what the umbilicals are for and when to use them, triggers for Eileen's quest, how to reach the Old Workshop, etc.
) I've basically spoiled the whole endgame for myself in one way or another.

It all started with someone on GAF spoiling that
Iosfka had to be killed at a particular time to get her umbilical, which I'd need to get the "true" ending
...the rest just fell into place naturally.

Next time a Souls game comes out I need to decide to either consult wikis from day one or quit GAF altogether to preserve secrets.

Iofska is only one of the possibilities. There's four possible cords, you only need three.

Hm, strange.

Iosefka question.

I sent the guy in the Forbidden Woods (who was clearly suspicious) to Iosefka's clinic, then I did some other stuff and beat Rom. After that, Iosefka stopped responding and there's no hint of survivors. The entire place is just empty.

There's a way to get inside the "clinic". You need to do this before killing Rom and come face to face Iosefka for an interesting exchange. You can also do it after, but you won't get the same result I don't think. Also if you sent the beggar there, be sufficiently prepared. I haven't done that myself but if you attack him before sending him there something interesting happens, sending him might have the same effect when you get in there. Remember you find him munching on the remains of a family...

So, is there no way for me to return to the Hunters Dream after
being trapped Yahar'gul the Unseen Village and not being able to kill Darkbeast Paarl.
?

DEFILED CHALICE COMPLETE

Died twice on the first boss
Died once on the second
Died twice on the third

Well chuffed.

Now for the final Chalice. Need the String and some Red Jelly first though, tips on the latter? I have two already and know where the String is. Rest is covered.

So just beat
Amygdala
.. Where do I go now?

I've beaten

CB
Father G
BSB
Vicar
Wtiches of Hemwick
Shadows of Yharnam
Rom
One Reborn
Paarl
Amygdala
Martyr Logarius

get to the upper Cathedral distract. You door is in the same area you got Ludwig's GS. The key is hidden in unseen village. It hard to explain where it is so I would look on youtube just type in "Upper Cathedral Key Location".

There are 2 optional bosses, some good runes, and a new weapon up there.

It has to fit the slot that is on the weapon. Different weapons have different shaped slots, you have to hit right/left to cycle through them.

Been stuck fighting the (4th boss?)
Vicar Amelia
for my past few sessions and I think this game is finally wearing me down to a fine powder.
I just can't seem to reliably dodge those sweeping arm attacks. I'll do fine, get my hits in, dodge, play it patiently, but eventually I'll find that we're positioned in such a way that I run out of room behind me and the camera closes in and its all over, or else I'll look like I timed my evasion right only to get slammed anyway. There is no worse feeling in this game then to see yourself dodge an attack and yet still get hit, or even knocked on your ass before watching the coup de grace.

And then a long minute of darkness and I'm back at the bottom of those stairs. Take down the first pole-arm guy, the ground-crow, then the first enemy patrolling the stairs, then the second, then through the campfire gate where two more pole-guys patrol, then the two guardians of the first stairs - the one with the scythe and the one with the rifle, and then one and then the second tree-branch wielding fucks, fought in close quarters, and finally I enter the mists for the boss fight.
A few minutes later I'm back at the bottom of the stairs looking to do it all over again. After a dozen attempts or so, broken up with exploration to the extent I've been able to get anywhere else (all closed doors as far as I can tell), or formerly easier areas now populated by
hunters of hunters
and I'm about ready to shelve this game for a good long while. I feel at a disadvantage with the camera and the enclosed spaces (considering the wide sweep of the attacks you face).

Tried to do it co-op with a buddy and we couldn't seem to connect to our games even though all of our settings checked out. I've also checked articles with tips, but my evasions don't feel reliable - not with that camera. Then I realize that instead of stewing as I wait to respawn again, I could just be spending my time playing something not built around dodging room-sized healthbar-devouring attacks.

She should be easy if you stay behind her. Don't give up!

Yeah, naturally I got a pretty decent understanding of that now.
I missed her's so I immediately felt compelled to locate the rest so I could secure the "true" ending.
For what it's worth I can't imagine figuring that out on my own. Hard to feel bad about something you would have spoiled for yourself eventually anyways.

Upper Cathedral Ward, you find the key in UV.

Don't think I found that key. Got a guide for it?

I looked up how to get the True ending but avoided everything about what it entails. Also trying to get all the side bosses but thankfully their names are so vague that it doesn't really spoil anything. Have no idea what they look like.

Did you come into the clinic
through the forbidden woods passage?

The guy from forbidden woods should've been transformed into one of those blue alien creatures. You'll know it's him because he drops a rune. And iosefka should be on all fours over a table.

what the hell?

Unseen village after 2nd save point

I reach the jail where you could go before and there are a group of tiny enemies i can barely do dmg against, im missing something...

Ebrietas
, I loathe thee! Just blew 90 vials, 70 bullets and 7 bolt papers on this piece of work.

How can you dodge
the charge, when you get hit with all those tentacles following her? Also the range of the melee swings, goddamn!

That's pretty much where I'm at - I know the areas I have left and I know the bosses there. Don't know what the areas entail or what strategies will be useful on the bosses. I suppose there's still a sufficient amount of mystery left.

Does the ps4 not record while on remote play? I just beat rom in ng+ in 90 seconds. It would have been the perfect poster boy for ignore adds, rush his ass strategy.

Are you referring to the 3 man gank squad (Hunter NPCs)? Eastiest to kill them is backstab the one who hides on the stairwell will even odds a little. If you are having a really hard time lure them into a jail cell and close the door on one of them.

I took out the first wave and ignored the rest. I figured I might as well since he doesn't attack until you hit him.

I'm at Rom now. First time I've had trouble with a boss in the game. I'm ringing the bell, but no luck getting a partner.

The One Reborn
is strange

The first time I fought it on my own and slaughtered it with the lightning mace. No problems at all. Then I was summoned into two others people's games where I died in spectacular fashion. Is he way harder in co-op? Or is it just that I have 30% less health than in single-player?

Also, if you're asking for co-op help, you better be willing to assist others as well. Kind of lame how long it takes to get a co-op partner. I ended up slaying
Rom
on my own because I got tired of waiting.

Oh wow, you can't record while remote playing. Well that's lame. I initiated a start point and got a message saying the ps4 can't record gameplay.

I beat the final chalice boss.

Can I just share this chalice with all my friends now so they don't have to do all the prerequisite chalice dungeons?

Bosses get buffed in coop so yea, they're much harder. It's similar to past Souls games.

So let me get this straight, before I do this. I'm level 80 and I'd also say I'm more than competent at this game. Is my body not ready for these Chalice Dungeons or can I survive? I don't mind if it's just difficult but if its impossibly difficult I might just press on with the games 3 endings then try them in NG+
