Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

This basically.
His weapon's switch mode drains health. So all you need to do is aggro him and hold your ground until he inevitably switches (usually an animation that looks like he's stabbing himself). Then shit sprint out the door. He wont follow and will drain until he dies.

I tried it first, felt guilty, and ended up rushing in to finish it myself and got killed :P

Let's see...

I am at 28 vitality and yet it took him only two hits to murder me. Two freaking hits.

And then let's talk about his guns. A Repeating Pistol that when it hits you, it'll cost you a guaranteed lost of like, 1/4 of your health. Oh, and he's got an unlimited ammo too.

Not to mention that he's got an absurd amount of HP that even with a 30 skill with a level 6 Saw Blade it'll take a hundred and even more of swings to make a dent. Oh, he'll heal too, and for added insult he can throw at you something that'll prevent you from getting healed as well.

Fuck it, he's cheating on so many things I didn't even feel guilty about cheesing him, lol.

I'lll give these a shot.

Nightmare of Mensis
in general has utterly devastated my enthusiasm and momentum to play. For my build and character it feels like a incredibly huge difficulty spike. I don't coast through these games by any means, but here I just feel like I'm being continuously burdened by heavy damage for going more or less anywhere or doing anything. Like the whole area is built around being as crippling as possible, and I'm not really enjoying it.

There's so many elevator shortcuts in that level it's not even funny. Firearm helps with swarm inside the door at start (pull one at a time).

Also, consider summoning 2 people.

I've got to head there now :'(

I even did
Nightmare Frontier
first to avoid going there lol.

...that's odd advice, isn't it? He'll do his AOE attack once you're close and dealing damage. Not letting up is bound to end in tears, as you have to back WAY the fuck off of him repeatedly.

Unless there's some glitched AI stuff going on where he only does melee swipes?

If you hit his leg real hard a bit while he's charging, you can break the charge and make him fall down.
I managed to do it almost every time, except once. When it didn't work, I just kept my distance until he spent all electricity, and then went back to hacking his legs and head. It even gives you a chance to visceral him.

Probably the decent STR and END helped me a lot. Axe is perfect for this fight also.

One of the most enjoyable platinum runs in a long time, love this game.

Last chalice boss was a breeze compared to the previous ones.

Adella and Arianna spoilers:
So I have Ariannas blood in my inventory since she got to Cathedral Ward but never used it. Now the wiki says Adella is supposed to get jealous if I choose Ariannas blood over hers and kill her after Rom, which I obviously don't want to happen, since I want that umbilical cord. Now I just beat The One Reborn and Arianna is still in labour and Adella is still laughing in her corner, but nothing more has happened. Should I just kill Adella to make sure she leaves Arianna alone?

The boss of the Upper Cathedral Ward is absolutely wrecking me in every way possible. Goddamn. Now that's a fight. I think I'll go do the only remaining place I have left before tackling her again.

I believe
Adella only gets jealous if you've accepted Arianna's blood
3x or more. Don't take my word for it though!

I screwed up
Eileen's
quest somehow. Spoke to her early, but then stumbled back to the tomb and got wrecked by
Henryk
. E was already
dead
. He killed me so I went back but he's gone.

Is he gone for good?

Also, I put my controller down while in the chapel and killed the creepy guy by accident :(

W
acht Dog of the Old Lord
in
Defiled
Chalice Dungoen is down =) I almost beat it earlier too (got the life down to 10% or so). Then i played some co-op in the main game, and my weapon broke. I repaired it and went back to the Chalice Dungeon, i didnt think anything about it. Suddently my hits does 230 damage on that boss instead of 147. So i almost beat the boss with a half broken weapon at first =)

As much as I love my Holy Blade, I sort of want to try something new. I am running with a STR build though, and I don't know what other good options there are. The blades you get from
Eileen
's badge seem cool, but they are Skill-based, I think. I used the hammer for a while at the beginning of the game, but it was kinda slow. anything else worth using?

I'm also having issues with R
om
I'm literally doing 43 damage with a +5 Ludwig or my +7 cane. I used bolt paper and it not increased damage I can 2 shot the enemies outside boss area and even took down the magic centipede quite easy. Why hell am i tickling this guy also made my way through cainhurst to boss area and defeated the gaol boss so not sure why my damage is so low.

Hit him on the side or back, his head is armored.

Are you attacking from the side? The head is armored.

I think I only had +6 Ludwig when I fought it. Make sure you are hitting from the sides and not the front. This applies to the
little spiders as well. The fronts are like..stone or something and resist damage. You only do full damage from the back/sides on them.

EDIT: Beaten. D:

Aggro him, let him follow you down the stairs but when he switches to two handed run out of the door and you should still be able to see his health bar as he walks back to his spot. His health will drain in that two handed mode and he'll die shortly. Worked for me, but took a couple tries.

To be fair I fought him like 6 times and once got him to a sliver of health before his gun two-shotted me.
i tried this, but found out that in 2-handed hes really easy to riposte, and after a riposte you can just wail on him since he has no recovery defence moves, so i just ended up kickin his ass that way. Just lure him towards the stairs so he shoots over you. The guy shoots fucking bricks.

That Am
ygdala
fight was kinda intense.

So I kinda rushed through the area and haven't unlocked any shortcuts, so death would be really annoying. Had like 8 vials left. I could damage her really hard but then she got into her rage phase and I had no vials left. 20 minutes before that I was able to get the canon which I had missed.

She had like 40 % HP left and I had like 0 Vials, but 15 QS-Bullets. So I qickly went to the menue and selected the canon and hit her twice. She had like 10 % left and I had like 60 % of my HP left. So I decided to take leap of faith and made blood bullets and hit her with that. Think I survived with 50hp left or so. Nice fight.

So, only E
brietas
left of the optional bosses. Any tips ? I heard Coop is glitched there so I won't try that.

How did you manage to shoot twice with 15 bullets? Doesn't the cannon use 10 per shot?

So killing his spiders isn't worth it?

Personally I would say kill them the first time when he is passive, that way you can pop a bolt paper and get a couple of good charge attacks in, keep going as he teleports and you can potentially get him to half health. Then just run in and attack whenever you can after that.

So killing his spiders isn't worth it?

My friend did not kill and he had the Axe. I killed the tiny ones and I use the Saw, so test which tactic works for you.
Keep Rom in sight so that you can see when he does the special attack. I ran towards him when the sky attacks launch. 100% dodge rate for me.
Used Blood Pellet to boost my attack too.

Today I beat The O
ne Reborn
and A
mygdala
. I didn't realize what the shortcut was in
Unseen Village (specifically the teleport), so I kept taking long trips to the boss where I would take way too much damage. Finally I figured it out (..so obvious), which made it less frustrating to travel to the boss. As a whole, I didn't really like the Unseen Village that much, for whatever reason I could never really find my way around, unlike every other area in the game. The boss fight was fine.

Amygdala was a pretty easy fight.

I'm sad that I am coming close to the end of Bloodborne. 4 more boss fights until the end.

Is The O
ne
R
eborn
supposed to be that easy?
He did literally nothing aside from stomping a bit with his legs. He had one massive attack which can be dodged easily. These fireballs didn't do much damage to me either.
I also had him stunned most of the time.

He was like W
itches
of H
emwick
-level of difficulty for me.

Why did everyone say E
brietas
was so hard? Killed her in two tries. Just leap back from all her attacks and then hit her head when you can....

I fought the
Hunter with the gattling gun at Old Yehmen. He blasted me with his shotgun dodged back...right off the roof.

Phew got lucky with that one!
