Actually, in my experience, my bloodstain will be moved to the lecture hall first floor after exiting the game, strangely. Of course, you're out of luck if you haven't reached that location yet.

Ahhh that explains the random bloodstain, i wonder if this a bug or some very clever story telling

I am really surprised at people saying the bosses were too easy. I'm a souls vet and I got my ass kicked by quite a few of them. Off the top of my head the following took 5+ attempts:
- Farther Gascoigne
- Blood Starved Beast
- Ebrietas
- Gehrnam
- Martyr Logarius

And there were a few others like
Amelia
and
Shadow of Yharnam
which were no joke. Only ones I thought was too easy was
the one reborn and rom
. I guess I just suck :P

Also, I Cleric beast is so much tougher than phalinx/asylum demon/the last giant. I feel sorry for new players!

My game has been so random. This is the order of my bosses and exploration so far

1.) Cleric
2.) Father G
3.) Amelia
4.) Blood Starved Beast
5.) those 3 dudes in the forest ...
6.) Rom
7.) Witch of Hemwick
8.) Darkbeast Paarl

I actually got into the Nightmare Frontier and the Lecture Building before I even beat the BSB if my memory serves correctly. I almost skipped all of Hemwick if I hadn't gone back to central Yharnam just to see what all was going down in town after .. stuff. Went left from the grand cathedral for the first time and voila, in a totally new area lol.

Love how much exploration plays into the overall experience of this game. Love it all. I think im getting more excited to replay the game from the jump again compared to beating it! lol. But I definitely want to see where everything is headed.

they don't really. Very rare items usually obtained by chest and killing those fast small enemies that run away if you don't kill them fast enough.
Where do Blood Stone chunks drop?

Phew, time for a farming guide again. There are 4 known enemies who have the chunks as rare drops

The last set is my recommendation for chunk farming. But remember, they are rare drops, so you won't see them often. Boost your discovery as much as possible before you do it, mainly by equipping 'Eye' type runes. I know there are at least two. Arcane stat also gives discovery, but you shouldn't invest points there just for the drop rate adjustment.

Do you know if once you unlock high level chalice dungeons is it more efficient to farm them there? I hope to god it is, took me an hour to get 3 in upper cathedral

And this is something I just don't understand. Using my setup, two 'eye' runes (and Arcane 21 which does not affect discovery nearly as much as the runes) I got around 35 chunks in 4 hours, max. Kill the mobs, port back to the lantern using a bold hunters mark, repeat. Ofc there is a random element to rare drops, but it should even out. Did you use the runes? Cuz the last person who said the same thing as you did, didn't use 'em. Like I said, high discovery is essential.

I think I'm bugged on the Eileen quest:

I had talked to her in the sewers and have the dust off cape emote. But now, she isn't appearing anywhere and nothing is happening at the Tomb of Oedon. I've been trying to find her shortly after I beat BSB. It is now night in-game.

Bosses I've beaten: Cleric Beast, Father, Blood Starved Beast, Witch, Vicar.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Pretty sure you've done the same thing as me and gone too far.
She does appear again but you've failed her quest.

I was already pushed and got out and he's still there along with the item, I just assumed that there was something I had to do to get by it without that happening again. Also read that you can get him to beg forgiveness to get some items but I'm not sure how to trigger that.
That's done in a different area.
In the lecture building he's hiding behind a locked door in the first floor, you can talk to him but he just taunts you(you probably already found that). When you get access to the second floor of the lecture building you can climb down a ladder(which is guarded by a giant wielding a fire weapon) and talk to him, that's when he gives you the gesture and rune.

From people I've spoken to who've been apprehensive about 'Souls, I think the whole "PREPARE TO DIE" campaign was a crock of shit and did more harm than good. It gave the series an unfair reputation of being bone crushingly difficult which without playing most people associate with tedium. As in, "This series must be impossibly hard! I don't know if I want to torture myself with that :(".

They're hard but entirely (well, mostly) fair. Punishing so much more apt; the consequences for failure are perceptually dire compared to other games, but you get into a rhythm and realise it's not that bad. You don't feel like you're wandering into impossible gameplay, just the unknown, and you know whatever comes up can be beaten. It manages to balance challenge with empowerment, the right way.

Punishing is definitely a more appropriate word to describe the difficulty of this game. I always felt the 'PREPARE TO DIE' campaign to be a little corny as it feels like it's trying too hard.

1725 HP with that 15% rune.

I think it's like... comparatively speaking. I got through most of the bosses easily enough but I don't think that they were EASY. They still put up a fight and had intimidating designs. I think some stand out as much harder than others.

Hm maybe I already got the stuff then. Ah well, thanks. :)

Um so I'm at R

. Is there a reason why I'm doing no damage to the spiders? They are just backing away from me like they are scared.

I'm totally falling in love with this game. I don't know why I missed this genre before, but the learning to overcome the challenge is so satisfying. It was nice helping other people fighting the Blood-starved Beast, to see how far I've come and see people face the same struggles. Still a noob though.

Also, I defeated the the Blood-starved Beast. I was attempting to parry him, but I couldn't really get the timing of his swipes down so I gave up and just started to evade and hammer it. Was pretty effective actually.

I've given up the Hammer for the Great Sword. While the hammer was great for damage, It wasn't great for crowd control and the attacks left you vulnerable to attacks. The great sword pretty much solves this, and I prefer using it to the one hand mode. Shame you can't parry without the gun, although I know you can stun them.

Otherwise, I've had someone invade one of my PVP sessions and I was wrecked. This guy one shotted me with a cannon, and was griefing build I suspect.

But yeah.... I love this game. Once I'm done with I'll get Dark Souls 2.
BSB is a motherfucker. I'm on my 3rd run (1st with my new character) and BSB is a pain in the ass.

Probably down to how people played the souls games in the first place. The bosses in Bloodbourne, with only a couple exceptions, are no faster than the bosses in the souls games, and yet you're given a much lower cost dodge that's much faster than the souls game when locked on. If you used to use a shield as part of your strategy, only have dodges and parries(if you used them, I didn't) available would probably take some getting used to. I never used a shield in the souls games so it just felt like the bosses in general were easier for the most part except those that are parry tests(the guns are this game's shields, and I don't care for using them).

For example I had trouble with:
L
ogarius
took me almost 20 tries.
G
herman
took me about 8.
And F
ather Gas
took me about 6 tries.

All these bosses are apparently easy to parry and are meant to be parried to make the fight easier, but I never did so I found them pretty intense. Everything else took me less than 5 tries on the other hand because I'm used to dealing with bosses purely by dodging in the souls games where dodging cost more.

Looks like there's quite a few big issues that need patching (like the AI dying), if they ever get around to it. What I'd love most though, is letting you warp to any lamp, without going to the dream first.

I heard they're also working to improve the load times, but is that even possible to patch? I can't remember a game getting a patch that included shorter load times.

Wipeout 2048 did.

Probs got the glitched version

Nah, i found E easy too and I know she wasn't glitched because she killed me twice with her
laser beams when I got her to 25%ish, but it was easy to get her there
when I figured out how to dodge that attack the fight became trivial.

I'm convinced that Ludwig's Holy Blade breaks the game. My fight against
The Shadows of Yarnnam
and
Darkbeast
were a joke.

With those bosses I always got in a few parries which helped, but I wasn't good enough at it for it to carry me through the fights. I've seen a couple of people who parried
Gehrman
to death in like a minute, which is so sad to me because as someone who couldn't rely on parries to beat him it was such an epic fight.

Just finished the game. Loved it! Only complaint is an elevator glitch I have.

Maybe it's just me but the game seems shorter than both dark souls games. I think I finished in about 40 hours or so. It very well could be the fact that I am just better at these games now.

Anyways I have a save before the final boss to mop up a few things. Also do not feel like heading into new game plus yet. If their is dlc I wanna be able to hop in straight away.

I just don't want the game to end at this point. Knowing I only have a couple of bosses left (outside chalice dungeons) makes me sad.

What a fantastic game this is.

You
can't activate that lever at this point, and yes you have to progress further

Hey guys. I haven't played this game in about a week. I think I'm still really early on.
Some sack dude transported me to this hidden village area, I lit the lamp, and I started exploring. I met the Darkbeast Paarl, he's kicking my ass. I have no idea how to fight those sack guys either, they almost always kill me.

Do I give up? Is there an alternate route? How can I get good?

You can unlock the door to the immediate left of the spawn lamp in the Unseen Village. After unlocking, run down, take the next right, and take the following right turn to run down the hall with the pillars and the 2 dogs approaching from the other end. Just run past, take another right into the door, then take a left and follow the path to the Paarl boss arena. This is the fastest route I could find to get to Darkbeast. No need to engage the sack guys.

Ok this game is the most wtf of all the others.

Just beat R
om
what am I supposed to do now?

Once you beat Rom, the veil lifts from the world and the Great Ones become visible to all. I believe you're given the task of finding the baby and killing it. So I would follow the baby's cries.

I was actually just going to comment on this.

I keep finding blood stains in the Lecture Hall while I'm farming bloodechoes. I've never died there, so I wonder what's going on.

Yup! Remember that later

Are Strength builds somehow a lot stronger than Skill builds? Seems that way from some of the damage numbers I've seen in some videos.
