Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Noooooo!!!! WTF man, I was standing in front of the Doll and my controller fell on the floor, and it R2 attacked and killed her! :( I can still level up, but now she's dead. Can I bring her back to life?

dude, that's nasty. you kill her and then use her dead body to level up?

The items in NG+ are garbage. The enemies are tougher but drop the same lame shit as the reg game. Ugh

There's, like, no point in even fighting them...

it feels like there isn't really a point to NG+

apart from the "weapon" you get, it would have been to nice to have new enemies and different loot from the main game :/

Oh thank the lord, she's back when you re-enter. But it looks like it's a refreshed memory version, as she gave her introduction etc again. I feel extra bad because moments before I killed the other version of her, she'd just told me she loved me….

Bloodborne |OT4|
Of course, I do love you

I was thinking it would be really cool if there was a way to equip enemy weapons. They obviously wouldn't transform but it would be an easy way to increase weapon variety, something I've heard people complain about.

Platinum obtained!

How the hell? She's been way, way more aggressive in my battles with her, even when I've been angling behind her. I don't get those sort of long pauses to do damage in.
I was stuck on her for two days with a +3
Kirkhammer
. Explored the
Hemwick
area and found enough materials to upgrade the
Kirkhammer
to +5 and destroyed her on the second attempt. Keep hitting her until she is stunned and hit her some more.

Sigh R
om
is a bitch and a half. Any way to cheese it?

Maximize your Arcane resistance, first. (Wear the best Arcane resist armor and use the Rune if you have it.) I also recommend upgrading and using the Tonitrus. The Bolt damage seems to really eat through the babies, even if you hit them on the protected part. Then, make sure to kill all the babies first, then get in some swings on Rom before he teleports. It takes a bit of time, but I find that's the best strategy.

I never found E
brietas
in my game. Maybe I missed a ton of stuff.

Is she related to the closed door in the Cathedral? Never knew how to open it.

Yeah the door in the Upper Cathedral

The key can be missed quite easily if you don't know where to look

Just beat it. Al I did was apply bolt paper to my weapon and just ran up to R
om
and beat the hell out of it. Went down in like 5 mins lol.

Fuck it, I'm using a guide for it.

I want to see every non-chalice boss at least once.

To access Upper Cathedral Ward you'll need the Upper Cathedral Key, which is found in the following way:
From the Yahar'gul Chapel lamp, turn around and run up the stairs to where the old ladies are. Along the left side of this plateau, you'll see a hole in the fence. Carefully jump down to the platform below. Once on the platform look for a door. Enter and you'll find yourself in a darkened room with a cage below. Look for a hole in the fence and jump down into the cage. On the body inside you'll find the Upper Cathedral Key.
Once you have the key, go to Cathedral Ward. From the lamp post, take the door to the right and travel up the elevator. Climb the tower, and at the very top you'll find a door. Use the key to gain access to Upper Cathedral Ward.

from the wikia, without the risk of getting spoilered with images :p

Just came back to
Hypogaen Gaol after beating Rom (I explored this area a lot before doing the Forbidden woods). Now I almost miss the bag guys. :(

The atmosphere in this game is unparalleled.

Watching the credits roll after a blind playthrough. The ending
was that I let the geezer kill me and I woke up.
I'm pretty sure I missed a huge amount of stuff. At least one entire area and some bosses.

NG+ time. Anyone recommend a guide? I'd like to see what I missed.

After a few days of not playing I come to take on the Cleric Beast for the first time and it was a piece of piss. I'll be humbled shortly though lol.

Put that stuff that adds lightning damage on your weapon (bolt paper), it hurts her a lot.

I never bothered with the small spiders after the first phase but prefered a hit-and-run approach: sprint towards her and roll through/ignore the small spiders, get in a few quick hits on her side with my lightning enhanced weapon, then get the hell out of dodge when her spiders close in. In the meantime, also keep looking out for those meteorites that fall down. Rinse and repeat until dead.

ok, beat the game with level 87 after 35 hours.
and only the first 2 bosses were somewhat tough.

Cleric Beast
countless tries. on both my characters.
Father Gascoigne
again countless tries. made me start a new character, who still need a lot of tries.
Vicar Amelia
3, or maybe 4 tries. after I knew about her weakness, she went dont on my first try.
Blood Starved Beast
first try. didn't even need to heal poisoning.
Witch of Hemwick
first try. pinwheel levels of difficulty.
Darkbeast Paarl
a few tries, 7, or 8.
Shadow of Yarman
a few, afaik 5.
Rom
first try
One Reborn
first try
Celestial Emissary
first try
Amygdala
first try
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
2nd try
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
3, or 4.
Martyr Logarius
4, or 5.
Mergo's Wet Nurse
first try
Gerhman
first try
Moon Presence
2nd, because I started with only 1 blood vial left.

Yeah, after Rom, the world goes to shit and the game goes from fucking creepy to an oppressing full blown out nightmare. The urgency of the red moon is haunting.

I am really surprised at people saying the bosses were too easy. I'm a souls vet and I got my ass kicked by quite a few of them. Off the top of my head the following took 5+ attempts:
- Farther Gascoigne
- Blood Starved Beast
- Ebrietas
- Gehrnam
- Martyr Logarius

And there were a few others like
Amelia
and
Shadow of Yharnam
which were no joke. Only ones I thought was too easy was
the one reborn and rom
. I guess I just suck :P

Also, I Cleric beast is so much tougher than phalinx/asylum demon/the last giant. I feel sorry for new players!

For me most bosses so far havent seemed that hard:
Cleric Beast - Very hard - molotovs finally helped get past it.
Vicar Amelia - Impossible until I upgraded my Kirkhammer from +3 to +5.
Darkbeast Paarl - Had some trouble, took 5 or 6 attempts.
Father Gascoigne - Killed on second attempt with the help of some molotovs.
Blood Starved Beast - Killed him on first attempt but died immediately after due to poisoning.
Witch Of Hemwick - Killed on second attempt because I was attacking the decoys lol.
Shadow Of Yharnam - Killed on second attempt.

during the
Micolash
fight, in a coop session I blocked his way to the
second room
, he kept running while I just casually hit R1 until the summoner came and he started to defend himself (although less severe than if he reached the room).

has anyone tried to cheese him like that?

Finished my NG++ session today. Doing my NG+++ once the official guide has been released. I still have a feeling that I've missed some items and npc interactions.

Impulsively bought Wolfenstein and Axiom Verge today to distract me from my post-Bloodborne depression.

I'm having a surprisingly hard time killing
The One Reborn. I think I'm doing it right though. Killing the spellcasters at the very start, on both sides, before attacking the boss.Yet I still have a hard time beating it. Can hardly see what he's about to do, due to his size and me being close to actually hit him.

Could use some help here.

Any reason to think Rom is a girl? I don't think any of the notes really specify.

how/where do you get it? thanks.

Do you remember
a cage after the second bell maiden in Yahar gul? In a dark building.

Its up the stairs past the laser and old ladies if you go from the yahar gul chapel lamp. Drop down via the side where the enemies originally stand.

Its there.

I can't get over the Ninja Gaiden vibe Bloodborne gives me.

Same in-game font, similar environments, huge bosses, picking up "souls / echos / call it what you will" massive over-sized weapons, hard as fuck, etc....

Anyone else feel me!?

how/where do you get it? thanks.

in Yahargul, there will be an area with female enemies wielding knives. Look for a break in the fence surrounding the space they are at. Drop down there and you will be on the second floor of a room you had previously gone through. You can drop into the middle to a cage that had a locked door. The key is there.

I'm about to finish my NG and Its sad cause even if I play NG+ it's not gonna be the same

I'm at the end of my NG+ I wonder if I should start NG++ or just sit here and finish Calice. I mean, I think it will be easier to farm in NG++ but I fear the scaling of enemies

Just got to Y
ahar'gul.
Why am I seeing all of these
creepy spider monsters on the building
?

You killed Rom, who seemed to be maintaining a veil which masked their presence. Alternatively, high enough insight (60+) allows you to see them at any point int he game.

Man, NG+ is super disappointing... This game is so damn greedy. I've defeated 6 bosses and not a single chunk has popped up during that time. Come on, From.

When is that Bloodborne dlc hitting? I need more Bloodborne.

You dun fudged up now dude. Game has gone in to ultra hard mode because of an earlier mistake. From now on all bosses will have double their usual health, powered by those big things.

Jk. Not really. They are just lesser Amygdala's which you can now see as the veil has been lifted off the world, as a result of killing Rom.

I just love how this game seemed so generic with its gothic atmosphere and lycan enemies and stuff but quickly turned into a Lovecraftian horror flick after finding the Nightmare Frontier or facing Rom.

The game gets more and more nightmare inducing.

I find sometimes fighting the hunters is actually more annoying than some of the bosses. The 3 hunters in
Yahar'gul
are definitely annoying. At least I got 2 of them killed and I only have 1 to deal with and thankfully they don't respawn.
