Just finished the game, I think I experienced moat things, except chalice dungeons, didn't do a single one. Clocked in at about 32 hours, gotta say what a fantastic game! Missed a few NPCs and sidequests sadly.
before the wet nurse there was a white maiden with what looked like an cesarean cut in the stomach, what was that all about?

Can anyone help me? I'm stuck on where to go next...

I killed Rom, and I know you're supposed to go to that lady that spawns there after you kill Rom but I think I went to the lantern first before going to the lady adn getting to the second floor of the study place to get to nightmare mensis. I tried going back to the lake but she isn't there. Anyone??

Saw a couple of replies to my question yesterday but didn't get the answer I needed. Also I explained it wrong.

How the hell do I get to nightmare mensis?? I have no idea how to get tehre, I know that lady after Rom is supposed to teleport you to the study of the 2nd floor then you can get to Nightmare Mensis, but I never talked to her. I have no idea how to get to Nightmare Mensis. Any help would be appreciated, I feel like I'm stuck.

I can't get over the Ninja Gaiden vibe Bloodborne gives me.

Same in-game font, similar environments, huge bosses, picking up "souls / echos / call it what you will" massive over-sized weapons, hard as fuck, etc....

Anyone else feel me!?

Bloodborne doesn't have garbage art design for enemies and it lacks the pace of Ninja Gaiden 2.

Probably more in common with NG1 but even then NG is a balls to the walls action game and Bloodborne is less so.

More accurate to say that Bloodborne is similar to DMC1 with the gothic influence, horror inspired enemy designs, guns plus melee combat and even then the similarities are low.

yeah, idk.
used bolt paper, ignored the little once, and just ran, when stuff was coming from the sky.

I'm having a surprisingly hard time killing
The One Reborn. I think I'm doing it right though. Killing the spellcasters at the very start, on both sides, before attacking the boss.Yet I still have a hard time beating it. Can hardly see what he's about to do, due to his size and me being close to actually hit him.

Could use some help here.

I stayed on the upper plattform and made some plunging attacks and attacked his legs.

Beat the game!
Still diving into the chalice dungeons before I commit to NG+. I wanted to farm Chunks, but it's not happening. I stopped leveling early, but then kept going for chalice reasons. Somewhere around level 98 with ~47 Vit/Skill and 27 End. Don't believe I threw points into anything else.

Then I learned the (end-game weapon)
Scythe is Arcane
.
Damn game. Why?

Depends on your level and vit, but I just
ignored the casters and tried to use the boss itself as a shield.
Cane spam won the day.
Seriously, anyone able to beat
Ebrietas?
She's ridiculous, horrendous hitboxes.
When I tried staying on her side and back I kept dying.
The key for me was to stay in front and punish any move that exposes the head.

after rom, I got send to the unseen village.
maybe check out the area when you go
right at the top of cathedral ward

attack her head and then do a critical.
after that charge up a R2 attack.

and staying behind her helps with getting not hit.

You killed Rom, who seemed to be maintaining a veil which masked their presence. Alternatively, high enough insight (60+) allows you to see them at any point int he game.

You dun fudged up now dude. Game has gone in to ultra hard mode because of an earlier mistake. From now on all bosses will have double their usual health, powered by those big things.

Jk. Not really. They are just lesser Amygdala's which you can now see as the veil has been lifted off the world, as a result of killing Rom.

Man, this game just took a turn. Just got killed by an
Amygdala
that laser beamed me to death.

and staying behind her helps with getting not hit.

Her attacks can sweep behind her and she pivots on a dime. The only way I've found to stay behind her for any significant length of time is to lock off and try to get stuck in the cleft on her tail. Usually you'll get a few attacks in before you warp through her torso and wind up on the other end.

Make it through Yahar'ghul.

Don't know what lady you're talking about lol, that's not how you get to the 2nd floor.

You don't really think about the names of some of the places the first time you go through them.

Nightmare of Mensis. Mensis being an archaic term for measuring time by the phases of the moon, and the root word of menstruation.

I beat her with the 2H Ludwig's Holy Blade. Lock on to her until she commits to a move that has a long recovery time, dodge, them remove the lock on, run forward, and wail away at her back end. The two handed weapons seem to have a bigger chance of stunning her after consecutive hits, which will allow you to tack more hits on.

And Am
ygdala
is the word for a group of nuclei (the boss's name is the singular form of the word) in the temporal lobes of the brain, whose primary role is the processing of memory, decision making, and emotional reactions. The name originates from a Greek word meaning "tonsil," which is fitting considering the item you need to access the boss's area.

Can one of my fellow GAFers help me beat the cosmos daughter. I'm in front of the elevator. Password is the threads password.

I'll try ringing my bell by the bottom switch before the fog, but my secondary is up to SL81 right now doing chalice stuff, so i dunno if i'll be in range.

Edit: Lol the fight is a bit dumber than I expected with non-host lag.

I'm at the N
ightmare of mensis
and I just got to a bridge with a bunch of the frenzy brain guys, is it even worth it to try and cross wasting all of my sedatives?

It totally is. Equip the frenzy resist rune and the +100 to all resists if you've got them, and the Ashen Hunter Set (best frenzy resists). I ran past those enemies and used maybe 3 sedatives.

just kill them as fast as you can and then wait for the bar to lower itself to zero.
then go for the next one.

Oneshotted
The One Reborn
without problems. For such a big badass boss it was really a disapointment in difficulty.

Maby ive become better or the game have become easier since the beginning.

kill all the bell ladies, then equip your fast weapon with some bolt paper and hit the sides. Walk away before the spells and rinse and repeat.

yes. You can get a material used to upgrade your weapon to max. Plus it gives you some much desired retribution for your overall experience crossing the Nightmare.

So, as a purely Rapier-wielding person in the previous games; am I going to pleased by the R
eiterspallach
weapon?

If I do go with, should I focus a bit on levelling Bloodtinge along with Skill?

There is at least one very important item there.
Another very important item for an easy trophy.
Another very important enemy to clear.

There are fairly forgiving pathing options.
Stay on the left for the first half then after the tower move right. If you can survive one Fury hit then you can run by everything.

|OT4| Home of the easy Platinum.

This games really makes me miss summon signs. At least then i knew there was someone in the area who wanted to co op. Dark souls 2 really had the best online experience of the souls games on console.
