Has anyone else seen this shitty bug that won't allow you to recover your body? The body is picked up by the air (the glowing eyes).

Second time it happens to me, only this time it matters as I have over 50k?

Any tips or idea how I can recover it?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand summoning help before even trying to defeat the boss once by yourself. The host went through the fog, the screen went black and I thought it may have froze or crashed or something. But no, instead I got the boss introduction cutscene.

Is it bad that I killed
Iosefka?
I didn't realize she'd just agro to me upon entering the room.
Yes and no. You basically just missed a key item.
if you go to her room after Rom you can kill her and get 1/3 of umbilical cord
which you need 3 to get true ending. But good news: there are a total of
4
in the game so you aren't completely fucked.

Just need 3 more Runes to complete the whole set.

Clear Deep Sea - Add slow poison RES +300
Deep Sea - Add frenzy RES +100
Formless Oedon - Max QS bullets held UP +1

Anyone have Glyphs for Chalice Dungeons with those 3 runes?

And I've been keeping track of Glyphs I've been finding while searching spreadsheets, wikis, gamefaqs, reddit, etc.

Arcane Lake +10% - Glyph: byfne74r Main Chamber of Layer 3, pretty deep inside in a coffin in a sewer area with leeches and a brainsucker.
Great Lake +3% - Glyph: x4hn5e9c Loot Chamber on Layer 2 right before the boss.
Dissipating Lake +7% - Glyph: r4qs4gux Loot Chamber at the beginning of Layer 1.
Dissipating Lake +10% - Glyph: qm5c4v4p Layer 2, don't remember exact location.
Fading Lake +7% - Glyph: r4qs4gux Loot Chamber on Layer 3 right before the boss.
Lake +5% - Glyph: brkepzqq Loot Chamber on Layer 4 right before the boss.
Formless Oedon +5 - Glyph: wikifcsa Loot Chamber on Layer 1 right before the boss.
Clawmark +30% - Glyph: gz9mmj7y Didn't write down location.
Stunning Deep Sea +300 - Glyph: gz9mmj7y Didn't write down location.
Beast +100 - Glyph: 2ufsqve2 Loot Chamber that's right before the Boss fight in Layer 1.

Shoot. Are the other 3 missable in anyways too?

Damn the lift to
Ebrietas
is stuck? Any fixes?

Tried everything. This sucks.

Do you coop with any friends? I would try ringing my bell at the top and having a friend ring his coopter bell at the bottom to try to fix it on his side. I'll probably be on way later after work if you still need help by then.

That's the story of most souls game bosses. If you panic and try to do too much dodging or hitting you die. Gotta stay calm and play it smart.

You see the monster moving quickly, attacking quickly and knowing that he can take a huge chunk of your health really causes you to panic.

Fuck those 3 hunters in Yahar'gul

I beat them yesterday. The one in the middle I sneaked behind visceral attacked him then ran away to the lamp where they all reset their positions and repeated until dead. The one on the stairs I snuck behind, visceral attacked then ran to the lamp. He ran after me and he kept running in a wall to the entrance of the room with the lamp so I positioned myself so he stayed there where I could charge attack him through the wall till dead.

Last one I just killed normally. Good times.

Question about an arcane item/spell:
Does the Old Hunter Bone actually improve your dodge? Or does it just make it look more stylish?

Yep. I couldn't beat her, so I did some co-op with others. After that, I could no longer call the elevator.

I had nothing else to do in that game really, so I just went and made a new character using the Threaded Cane, and I'll be having fun with that until the elevator bug is fixed and I can go back, beat E, and finish the game with my original character.

Welcome to the waiting for the patch club amigo :( I wasted several hours to no avail.

That's weird, I didn't do any co-op initially. I literally just fell down the hole and landed on the pressure plate on the lift, activating it to go up. But when I respawned the lift was still at the bottom and the lever was acting like it was already at the top ("device is not operable").
I did co-op much later and wrecked that beast.

1 Is easy to get you just have to go to a secret area. Another is given to you after a boss battle so you won't miss that one. The fourth I can't remember. I'd recommend reading the wiki to see their locations as one is pretty easy to miss and you've already missed another.

Edit: the fourth you need to have
certain npc. Arianna
if you never took her to safety then you're out of luck there.

Omg I keep scrubbing it up on R
om
in the Lower P
thu
Chalice Dungeon.
For some reason his
magic projectiles blasts keep wrecking me and they seem to track on me while I'm running.
And summoning isn't working at all for me down in there...
I think I might take a break from this game until the guide comes out and until the load times patch comes out.
I beat the game and I am two chalice dungeon trophies away from the platinum.

Just make sure you do not kill him and die at the same time. Happened to me and i ended up with a glitch that did not let me progress to the fourth layer. I had to redo the entire chalice again.

I can't beat G
ehrman
for the life of me. He's too fast.

Tip
when he lifts his arm to strike shoot with hunters pistol. This will stun him and you can parry him. I beat him with nothing but parrys. Was an easy fight once i got the timing down

If it's in the same room as mine was it's possible to
hide behind a pillar to block his projectiles
I still found the fight pretty difficult though.

Yeah that's the spot.
I can hide from his projectiles behind the pillar but then I have to kill the spiders and eventually attack rom and the spiders don't follow me behind the pillar and I still have to attack Rom.

Owch. Sorry that happened to you. Sounds like a pain.

Well,
Shadow of Yharnam
(5th boss) in in the bag^^ my second hardest fight after BSB. I now have three areas to go to, but think I will stick to the main path at the moment. I quit Demon's Souls after the 2nd world boss. I quit Dark Souls at Ornstein and Smough, and I didn't even get 10 hours into Dark Souls 2 before thinking "Ah! It is too hard for my old ass, time to stop." But with every death in Bloodborne I keep thinking "I can't quit. I am going to find a way through this." I am unsure what it is that makes the game different for me (maybe no decreasing health or world states for my repeat failures?) but I really feel like this will be the first Souls game I complete I am loving every second I get with it^^ I think after four games I finally "get" these games now^^

So I just finished my NG playthrough yesterday. Then I poke around online and find out I completely missed an area called C
ainhurst
. Is it normally missable or am I just bad? Can someone tell me how to get there?

Also seeing some discussion about
Iosefka above and I'd really like to know how to get into her room.
Also how do you open the
healing church workshop?

Damnit so many things I missed! Feels kind of bad to not find it on my own but I've kind of run out of ideas for all of them. Sorry for having so many questions.

and soon, you should return to Demon's

I have Ludwig's sword. And my stats are 17 str, 14 skill, 18 arcane. Currently I have some fire gem +8 which I equip/unequip depending on damage. What is the prefered stat route? Should I be pumping point into str or arcane, or as I started doing a mix of both?

I got the timing for his first phase down, it's when he gets glowy that I can't parry anymore.

After his transformation (when he glows) you can still parry him but its more difficult. The window for this parry phase is immediately after he recovers from rolling. He will roll towards you and as soon as his roll is done (just as its finishing), pop him and you should trigger the stun. It's a more difficult and tight window though. It also relies on his moveset to trigger the aggressive roll attack, which might require you to keep the right amount of distance between him.

Finished the game last night,
refused and had 3 umbilical cords, thought that ending was pretty week now I'm going to be reading all the spoiler lore stuff trynna piece it together and get started on NG+

Blood-Starved-Gaf! I need some quick help!

I've been playing completely blind including this thread, but I just need a quick response/tip

My character main stat atm is STR. I'm using the Kirkhammer and the Hunter Axe.
Both are at +3, but the Kirkhammer has a B scaling in strenght and according to the stats screens does quite a bit more damage than the Hunter Axe...

the thing is, it doesn't. The Axe does more damage in both transformations. Now I want to upgrade one of these to +4 and I'm not sure which to do first.

I like both move sets but use the Axe more due to it's range when transformed into a polearm.

So the question is..Why is the Axe doing more damage? Am I missing something? It has a D scaling vs a B scaling, but still does more damage. In 2h it's also quickr and has more range than the Kirkhammer.
The advantage of the Kirkhammer should be the damage output but it just isn't there.

please help!

If you use an elemental gem, it scales only to Arcane. If you don't use an elemental one, the sword scales to both Strength and Skill. Personally I went the STR/SKL route.

Amygdala was a lot of fun after that place you have to go through to get to it.

Plus I always like a boss that rips off their limbs and tries to beat you with them.

Ludwig has great scale for str and skill so i think you should choose str/skill but if you want pure fire/bolt dmg, you can increase arcane but i think pure physical dmg is better.

Get rid of the Arcane gems, and pump in Str/Skill. Str > Skill, but both are near same in scaling by end.

I still have my PS3 hooked up in our computer room... is Demon's Souls one of the games that you can use a wired DS4 on? The controller may be the only thing preventing me from actually giving it a go after I (hopefully^^) finish this one.

So it's exclusive. great, I wasted points. :/ I thought al least some power transfers over. Hmmm... :( I might as well continue with the arcane. Is it a viabkle build. I.e are there any enemies which are resistant to all elements?

yea, I think DS4 is compatible with it.

I just beat Cleric Beast on NG+ and I'm looking to expand my repertoire a bit for my second playthrough. What stats should I invest in, and what weapons other than the Hunter's Pistol and Hunter's Axe would be fun for my build? Thanks!

Vit: 31
End: 40
Str: 40
Skill: 13
Blood: 7
Arcane: 8
