With signs, you were stuck waiting in the 'popular' areas running towards signs, hoping they didn't disappear, and that the summons worked. You couldn't leave the immediate area.

If they worked like they were intended to, I'd agree with you. As of now, they don't. Even with a password set up and communicating with a friend to make sure we're both ringing the bell and standing near each other, summoning times can take forever. If there's a password there, it should instantly connect us. I can guarantee nobody is using our unique password. It's something that definitely needs to be addressed.

Ah ok, but do i need the same materials for every single co-op? Or is it enough to just write the glyph at an empty tomb stone?

Beat
Father G. Buy Cathedral key. Go to the hemlock WP and get Tonsil stone from NPC to the right of there. Go to lesser Amagdala to the right of Cathedral. Get teleported to Lecture hall level 1, go to nightmare plain. Kill Amagdala.
 
So after rocking the axe for my first 20+ hours, I decided to give ludwigs blade a go. Got it up to +6, same as my axe, with some decent gems.

10 minutes later... back to the axe. The reach and moveset of its long form are just too damn good to pass up! Is there any other weapon in the game that compares?
 
Okay I've reached the point where the game is fighting back. It's generally been pretty easy but now I'm getting destroyed.

Basically, I'm in Y
ahar'gul and I can't beat the three hunters that are blocking my way. They all aggro immediately and I've died at least 10 times to them now

Any tips?
 
I seem a bit stuck here, I just got kidnapped by some bag dude and I'm stuck in this place.
I think I'm a bit under levelled for this place I keep dying against every enemy I face.

Wait this is the level people are taking on the defiled chalice at? Well no wonder I'm getting my ass handed to me at my measly lv90. The grind to that is going to really suck, best place I've found is Mergo's loft for 50k a go but the respawn is a pain unless you want to risk the souls each time.

I was around level 125-135 or so i guess when i beat the defiled dungeon.

Try to aggro one and retreat and fight one at a time.

you wont see the advanges of ludwigs over the axe until you cap str. Once you do that Ludwigs widens its advantage because of the skill scaling.

I found the Burial blade works well in the situations I used to prefer the axe. It has similiar reach and is much faster.

ah at least that's a bit closer then. Still seems like I probably need to boost my stats before pushing on though. Out of curiosity, what stats would you say helped the most with defiled? I was thinking of dropping it all in vitality for obvious reasons but was also thinking of pure dps to end the fights faster instead leaving less room for error.

You're not far from a lantern. I'm bad with directions. Work your way up stairs. Run by whomever you can.

I'd get vit to 50 for sure, and wear HP runes to avoid being instant killed by certain attacks.
 
so Rom - do you go for the adds or concentrate on him alone - I can get him down to 1/4 health left but then just get overwhelmed by the small guys - any tips? Using either axe or holy sword
 
I'm at ROM and have nooo desire to do a boss battle. Can I skip him for now or do I have to beat him yo continue the main game?

Clear the adds, seriously. It's tedious but it makes the focus on Rom very safe

You have to clear him. Alternative zone you could visit : hemwick village for example if that is not done yet ?
 
Bsb sucks. The npc I summoned died in like 20 seconds. Now I have 26k souls in there. Can I use a bold hunters mark in boss battles?

A lot of people like to take out the adds first, but some people like to just go for him. I personally try to take out the first wave of adds and than when he teleports, run in, get a hit or 2, run out for the rest of the fight.

Weird... I could get into the boss to help somebody else... so my co op is working but just not when I'm hosting the game.

Sad the guy got killed when we reached 1/4 of the boss's health... it was a time that I needed to recover from damage :(
 
Bloodborne really knows how to get back at cheesers!!!!!

Alright, so I'm at
Micolash
and was getting bodied a few times while learning the fight. I get him halfway several times to
where I he goes down the floor for me to drop down.
Well, I see a note that someone left about
poison
. LIGHT BULB! I have around 8 left so I threw the knives at him and leaves him at a sliver of health left. Sweet! I got this.
So I go in, and he nails me with arms and a skeleton hits me too
. No biggie as I got him and he's dead. He starts to speak and I celebrate...and a
skeleton
hits me and I fucking DIE. FUCK YOU!!!!!! The kill never happened :(

I got him the next round, pissed off and playing smart and no cheese.. Feels good man.
