Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

That new Bloodborne PSN theme looks much better than the previous one, and the darker background makes it easier to read stuff.

I don't consider her easy. Sometimes you just get lucky and she's not as aggressive.

As for the
laser
, unlock the camera from her, and just start sprinting.

In the end, I just stayed in front of her and tried to bait out the head-slam, and shot her in the head trying to cause an opening for a visceral attack.

I think this is how I won. I never survived her using her laser attack. The one time I beat her I did so without her using the attack once, probably due to charge attack stunning. And possibly this...

I need to share something, GAF.

I've been throwing myself at E
breitas, Daughter of the Cosmos
for a couple days now - haven't been challenged by a boss this much since Vicar Amelia. I was losing constantly, so tonight I figured I needed a change of pace.

I downloaded the Spotify app and put Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks on loop until I was able to beat her...and it only took one try. Just strafed the cunt and used the cane's charged attack -
she never even used her homing lasers.
.

The power of Stevie is real, GAF. I channeled the power of the White Winged Dove herself and banished E
breitas
forever.

So like just step on the switch and roll off?

Basically. I usually just step off the switch as the elevator goes up/down and once it comes to a completely stop and you hear the sound cue that the button was released, run over the button again as I quickly get off. I do this for every elevator on my way to a boss, so I don't need to wait for them if I die.

Man ever since the last PS4 firmware update (I guess), I have been going straight to Rest Mode when I'm done playing, then when I turn it back on and log back into my profile, it loads me right into Bloodborne where I left off. Don't know what feature allows for this but it really suits the game, lol. Also... I'm pretty sure the initial load in when coming back from this is notably shorter than the load time after death... how does that work exactly.

There's a bug that won't let you connect with anyone for co-op if you start the game from Rest Mode.

I've heard so many rumours about what insight does in regard to enemy and boss tactics, what is the best list of solid info out there at the moment?

The bug apparently can also cause certain bosses to not behave normally and become trivially easy. Best to reset the console/game from time to time.

Pretty good day today... lots of exploring, hidden items and outfits discovered, took down
the Shadows
in two tries. Tried
Rom
but barely got it to half health; tired so will try again tomorrow.
Seems she's vulnerable to fire damage so I'm thinking throw oil urn on her, activate fire paper on weapon, and use flamesprayer
- am I on the right track?

Well, unlocked the shortcut allowing me to go to the bottom of Old Yharnum while bypassing the minigun guy and the hunter guy and the massive chapel ambush. Think that's enough Bloodborne for today.

What's the best method people have found to farm level 4 Ritual Blood?

Defiled Chalice requires it, and "Bastard of Loran" x2(I'm assuming that's found in Ailing Loran). However Ailing Loran Chalice also requires it.

I've not even got 9. :I

I used to farm the lecture rooms because of the high blood value and tons of silver bullets drop but today something weird happened. Enemies extend their arms to... dramatic length. Through them self, through their pairs, through geometry... It's impossible now to farm because they can reach way to far away.

Also it is now impossible to do any back charge attack. It just don't trigger the usual animation on them when they are still sitting. They also have this tendency to instantly (1 frame, like teleport) into the grab attack on top of you. It's fucking bullshit ! You open them with quick attacks and a frame later you can't move because you are under on who is raping your health

Not sure is massive bug or feature after some point in the game

Lame. Good to know. I guess I'll close and reopen the app next time I die or something.

Hey, do you get any benefit from someone rating one of your notes positively like in previous games?

New speedrun for completing the game and all bosses is 1 hour 11 minutes ... dafuq.

Runner was Distortion2 on twitch incase anyone is wondering.

FUCK! Had A
mygdala
below 50%, was running low on vials when I got too close for a head shot and ate a dormant laser explosion that killed me. I was doing so well for my first encounter with her, too. Headed back to the dream to re-up, then I'll take another shot at her. I haven't beaten
Rom
yet, so am I doing this in the right order?

I did her before him. Be patient, stay near enough that
she won't use her lasers, far enough that her flailing arms are one dodge away. When her arms, and mostly her head, are down, hit her hard - the R2 axe attack does wonders. You are going to get a chance for a visceral quite frequently.

Beat that bastard
Bloodletting Beast.
How many layers does the regular Ihyll dungeon have? I'm already sick of it.

i'm glad i'm done. gonna finally play something else. gonna check back once in a while. probably stick with spoiler thread more.

This is where I'm at. I just got to the
Nightmare
place and I'm kind of ready to beat this thing. I havent even done any Chalice dungeons yet.

Well I just encountered 2 things I wasn't expecting in Bloodborne, a
machine gun and disappearing enemies like in DS2.

Father gascoigne is so fucking hard in new game plus. Any tips?

Stay close to him at all times. It will make it easy to dodge his gun shots and his attacks while in beast mode. All the hunters are also really really easy to beat once you learn how to parry them (rule of thumb: watch their weapon hand and as soon as it moves, i shoot. timing is slightly different for different attacks though).

Also, if you don't like Hunter mode, then use the music box, makes him transform almost immediately.

The side door before the boss of layer 3 leads to ancillary area that has a ton of 4 of them. 2 chest with 2 in each. One of which is easy to miss.

I've encountered
Rom
yesterday, and after a few attempts I defeated. He was a little tricky at first, but once you had an idea of his attack patterns it was a straight forward fight. I found the hunter before to be a lot more challenging.

Really love this game,

grats good job! Looks like you have more VIT than I do. After two hits from those missiles and I'm dead :(

My fcking god! I was one hit away from sending him to oblivion.

This EXACT thing happened to me a few days ago. I wonder if it's related to the memory leak/reduced move set glitch or whatever. But this confirmed to me something is up (even with regular enemies).

I'm really down - Rom is just fucking with me. I took a break from him last night and beat DBP in one try, then back to Rom.

I've tried taking out all the adds first - keep getting fucked by blue rocks from above/below - got him to the 3rd stage 4 times, killed all the small guys and I still die.

My wife is laughing at me - I even tried getting help, I've wasted 6 insight on no-one turning up and me losing patience waiting, and the one guy that did answer died in the first stage.

So yeah, I'm going to explore the lecture hall tonight instead - I'm only level 54 - but this shouldn't be an issue - I know what to do, I just can't do it

love this game
