I'm on Th
e One Reborn
right now and the game is really starting to fuck me off. I can't even make it to the mist to fight it cos I'm getting absolutely fucked by all the twats along the way.

It is a bit of a pain. I just killed everything up to where the
3 hunters
were, and then the one thing on the stairs and then just sprinted past the rest of the shit to that boss. Still died a few times making the run. Apparently there's a short cut though.

Thankfully I beat the boss on my third time making it to him If you want tips on that
go up the stairs and kill the six bell ringers first, then do the jumping attack (lock on, jump off ledge, hit R1) on to him and hit him a few times to stun him and then wail away on him. When he gets up and is pissed, run back up and do the jump attack again.

If you're talking about the
giant mass of skull monsters that look like they're coming out of boxes
, you can actually
lead them into those glowing bodies and they will get a hell of a lot weaker
.

Was pretty fun playing communal-but-not-quite-cooperative Bloodborne in party chat last night. :) Man I can't believe I spent an hour (and would have spent three more if I hadn't been corrected) looking for Phaethon's "NPC." At least I learned some realities about the way things work in this game with side quests and stuff.

Now I'm curious though, I don't want to beat (2nd boss)
Father Gascoigne using the Music Box, because I've gotten so close without it I just need to kill him unassisted for the challenge. It won't affect the storyline/quest to kill him without using it, will it?

It was fun being in a DGAF party chat playing BB! I missed y'all. It was really funny listening to everyone's reactions during all of our different parts of the game. I didn't want it to end haha. Good luck with
Father G, you'll get him on one of the next couple of attempts!

Amygdala
(Defiled Chalice) help

I can get it to half health but then it becomes pain. The damn thing stays in one corner and it attacks more frequently.

Stay in front of it and wait for the double hand slam attack. Hit the head after. Once into 3rd stage just get behind it and keep hitting tail/legs till it dies.

Yeah I got there too. The fight feels both easy and difficult at the same time. Every attempt I've gotten it under 30% then I can't figure out a way to get in anymore.

Holy shit guys, you HAVE to see this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIGnrx9dlIM

I just got a third +10 rapid poison bloodgem & put it into my BoM, so now my total rapid poison "special attack" is 30, & the amount of damage it does & how fast it kicks in is fucking insane.

& yes, that thing took out more than half of
Mergo's Wet Nurse
's health in 10 seconds in NG+.

Keep in mind that it does shit damage until the rapid poison kicks in, so it's still not as good as a primary weapon unless you replace those rapid poison gems with +ATK gems.

So apparently there is this guy in the Wood area. He says something like "Blimey I didnt see you there" or something like that and you have the option of sending him to a safe haven if you want. However if you hit him he turns into a big wolf. If you kill him you get a Rune i believe. Should i kill him though?

If you jump out of the middle of the elevator on the way down, there's a secret shortcut that gets you behind all the nasty dudes and makes it easy to get to the boss.

144p... Come on brah

Oh lol refreshing did the trick.

Just started NG+ and I decided to start looking at the Bloodborne wiki. Missed the entire
Upper Cathedral Ward
. Well this is what NG+ was made for I suppose.

Yes.
Cheese him using the doorway and poison knives.

Those box things are very susceptible to back stabs. The three up to the left are all sitting still so they make for easy prey. The rest can be lured then get behind a carriage and they lose aggro then you can get up behind them.
As for the rifle guys, use the bath to teleport and take them out. Otherwise, they will ruin your day. The secret bath is halfway down the elevator. You have to jump off while it is moving

You can not kill him and get the rune later in the game. Though I am not sure if you have already attacked him.

very nice. i always wanted a build like that in a souls game.

I want to help people in more parts of the game but that means I need to progress myself in NG+. Doh! Wish I knew how this worked before I wrapped up my first run.

Wowza!

I wonder if anyone has tried this with guns. A status-effect gun would be interesting.

For some reason, M
artyr Logarius
was the hardest boss for me. I read here (thank you) that you can
backstab to stop the 2nd form
, making him the easiest boss.

To help others:
just run up to him and dodge the red skulls. Then attack, attack, attack, until your stamina is low, then back up for a sec to replenish it - repeat (he staggers when you attack so he can't land a hit).

Right before half-way, he'll put his sword into the ground to charge it up. You have time to go behind and back stab. Doing this, he never goes into his second form, so repeat the first: attack, attack, attack, until your stamina is low, then back up for a sec to replenish it - repeat.

Hope that helps. Those are instructions that would have helped me.

I can't believe I'm towards the end of the game now. I'm at the point where I can battle G
ehrman
, but I still have A
mygdala
, C
elestial
E
missary
, and E
brietas
as optional bosses which I'll definitely attempt before triggering the end game. I haven't really done a lot of side quests yet, unfortunately. I sort of forgot about them. Is there anything else super important that I should do before the end game?

Wow that's amazing. So rapid poison works like Bleed damage in Dark Souls? I might do that with the Burial Blade.

Is there an enemy hidden or something somewhere early when you enter into Nightmare of Mensis that continuously depletes your health? I keep getting my health drawn down and frenzied but I have no idea where it's coming from. Will keep searching but wanted to check here first.

You know Yahargul has bad layout design when FROM can't put a convenienty close shortcut to a boss but instead a teleporting bath which is baffling on why is it there and it's easier to access from the first lamp checkpoint instead of the second lamp checkpoint point.

Beat S
hadow
o
f
Y
harnam
last night. They were my first boss I beat in one try!
Used the big tombstone to keep the sorcerer from hitting me then kited the other two around.
Had a couple of close calls but managed to pull it off. I'm finally getting decent at staggering with the pistol.

Forbidden Woods complete. Not too bad.

I can't handle this Sword.
It is so heavy and slow and the normal mode is, from my perspective, the same moveset as the Cane.

Normal mode has a bit more reach than the cane normal mode, but that is solved with an R2 to R1, R1, R1, etc, in whip mode. R2 can reach the target and stagger them, then you have time to move in with R1. It's faster and it seems my R1 in whip mode does more damage than the Holy Sword normal mode R1.

BUT - the R1 whip is slower than R1 sword, so if you don't have to worry about reach or stagger, I sometimes main R1 Holy sword (R1 cane normal mode is just too short). Thing is, I like keeping cane equipped so I can switch to whip mode for range and crowds.

I really keep the holy sword around to R2 (in big-sword mode) single-hit big enemies.

It's the lighthouse in the left. Stay outside the light and you won't get frenzied.

The upside is that it affects the enemies too.

Yeah, just run for it. You can't kill them till you reach the castle and even later on for that.
Edit: nvm misread

there's no hidden enemy. just hide behind the walls and run when you get the chance.

It's coming from the castle with the orange glow inside. Keep yourself behind the rocks so it doesn't see you. And go the right way first, not left. Chug some sedatives if you have some.
