Did you guys kill the S
piders
during the R
OM
fight or just try to focus him down?

Kill the spiders defintely. They don't respawn until he warps away so it'll leave you one vs one with him. At the very least kill the first wave. Makes the fight a lot easier.

Ah. Well the chalice itself comes from an optional boss in the main world, not in a Chalice.

But I think for the trophy you need to do more Pthumerian, not Loran. Did you get a Defiled Chalice from Lower Pthu?

I am just following a guide of the ones you have to do to get to the trophy boss.

Its

Pthumeru, central pthumeru, lower pthumeru, ailing loren(need items here to create next dungeon), Defiled, Pthumeru Ihyll

Haha on that note i might make the one I need
the waking from a dream ending
because that is an equally perfect way to cap it off.

But who would I be kidding, I am going to keep playing way beyond the platinum.

I feel like there's no real incentive for me to continue playing now I got the platinum.

I am curious when people will find out what the
Yharnam Stone
does, though.

You are a bit over leveled. My characters that have cleared the game are around lvl 60-65.

I'll never know how people do this. I just beat R
om (4 tries, I actually cleared out all his spiders.
and I'm level 79. Saying that I'm not min-maxing my stats, I have to have everything at a multiple of 5 except the stat I'm currently levelling, and I upped my arcane and bloodtinge to 15 for shits and giggles.

Holy crap E
brietas
is hard. Insane difficulty spike after CE
missary
was so easy and she's in the next room after him. Don't suppose there's an easy way to do this?

I just beat
The One Reborn
first try... It was really easy. I basically just stayed underneath it and spammed R1 with +9 Ludwig. I didn't even realize you could apparently
go upstairs and take out the guys shooting fire at you
until after I beat the boss and realized there was a way up there, lol.

I feel like I'm over leveled because I did the first 3 tiers of Chalice dungeons. I'm already lvl 88. :X

Honestly, that was my experience with
The One Reborn
at level 70. So I'm not sure what level you're meant to do him. I also didn't realise you could go upstairs, lol.

try to stay behind her as much as possible.
i almost got her once using the canon in her face to drop her for visceral attacks but could never replicate it because she seems so unpredictable from the front

Finally killed M
artyr Logarius
after gunning for him for a few days. So satisfying. Did it at level 50 as well, so folks struggling: it's not the level, it's you! (not an insult, the game has just reassured me several times as of late)

Possible pro-tip:
Bone Marrow Ash. Seemed like it made a difference? Idk, either way the time I decided to try it out was the time I finally beat him. #parries #yolo

Honestly I don't know. I know people jam on R1/L1/R2/L2 and say it helps. Some people said it's just the second triggers.. I just am very paranoid and don't get grabbed.
Hmm, I don't want to include anything that isn't 100% confirmed accurate. maybe I can test this myself at some point
its R1 to punch up and R2 to kick down
here's me not realizing they climb ladders

vJLpX8.gif
Thanks. Also, hahaha
On the other hand, Forward + R2 still exists as a jump attack.
I can't believe I left that out. After all my testing. Thank you for reading and noticing that. Different for each weapon form of course, too.

Holy shit. M
oon
P
resence
and I killed each other at the same time. XD

After I respawned, I went right back and it was still dead. THANK GOD.

I've definitely had more success just attacking her back but she turns so quickly it's still a massive pain. Might just have to suck it up and come back later.

Any? They die in two hits with the cane.

not if you hit them in the head. Was wondering if any weapon bypassed their defense.

Cane in cane mode, or Ludwigs 1H. key is dont lock on. Just walk around them as soon as you are on their flank give them a simple R2, if you dont kill them (might have a sliver of health) follow with an immediate R1 and roll just incase another spider is leaping. If a spider leaps to you give it a quick R1 and it should die (almost no defense when they are on their heads).

Takes me 45 seconds or so to clear a wave. Then I can focus on
Rom
and when you are not worried about getting jumped by spiders is very easy to not let him hit you at all.
Thanks. I'll try this later.

Holy Crap M
artyr
L
ogarious
is ridiculous.

I am wrecking
him in Phase 1, but I can't touch him once he goes super saiyan.

Nothing stuns him, he attacks so fast, and dodging doesn't seem to do anything.

Is there a way to stop
him from powering up?

General ideas?

I'm about to finish the game. When do I
eat the umbilical cords?
Before or after
talking to Gehrman and refusing his offer?

Don't know about the fastest way, but I just found it in layer 2.
Right, I got that, but I can't even do the ritual for the Ailing Loran or search for someone else's because I need specific Ritual Blood. Do I just do the other dungeons until I find what I need? Is there a good place to look for the specific Ritual Blood (Level 4)?

Crap, so I'm not sure what to do.

I'm level 84 and my stats are pretty much vit, end, strg, and a little skill.

But these arcane items are looking so fucking badass. Should I start putting points into arcane?

He was a hard boss for me too.
You can't stop him from powering up. If you're having trouble with his sword shooting spell, be aware he plants a single sword in the ground when he casts it. If you destroy that one sword the the spell ends. Beyond that you have to be patient, take a couple hits off him here and there and prioritize dodging.

You can stop him sorta. If you do a backstab while he's charging up he'll no longer be immune to stun and parries in phase 2.

Seriously?
A few times when I was fighting him he'd go to phase 2 without even doing the charge up, so I never thought it could be interrupted.

Toughest boss for me so far, finally beat him yesterday. Like you said phase 1 is pretty easy, after that I used bolt and fire papers just for extra damage. I think someone earlier also said using bone marrow ash was helpful.

I'm enjoying BB after the initial figuring out of the same game mechanics only slightly changed enough to mess you up some

Fall damage is so forgiving now and I'm not complaining

Any tips for A
bhorrent beast
?

So far I haven't been able to parry him, is it possible?

If you're fighting him the large, open rotunda area he's pretty simple:

Always kite/dodge left/counter-clockwise, but don't keep him TOO far away because you need to be in range to bait his pattern.

1st phase:
- He will do a 3-swipe attack. After the third swipe leap attack into his head, then back off.
- eventually he will stagger from this and you can get in a visceral attack on his head.

2nd phase:
- this time he does a two-swipe attack then a ground pound. This is where you leap attack like before and then back off. The timing will be a little trickier since there are a few frames of shockwave dmg when he does it. Eventually this will lead to another visceral attack opening and he should be at 1/3 life.

3rd phase:
- now he will do a golf swing+huge shockwave ground pound. The golf swing is your cue to get ready. Wait until the ground pound shockwave wears off and then hit him. There is a little trial and error involved with gauging the dissipation timing and range of the large shockwave ground pound.

This worked really well for me. His other appearances like in the room with pillars...are another story entirely though.

Just back stab as he tries to get into phase 2 and he'll revert back to phase 1. Easiest boss after doing that.

I personally farmed it in depth 3 of pthu, layer 3, which you have to do anyway for the plat. from the lamp go left then right and there's one of the bag dudes. They drop them, albeit at a low drop rate.

I beat this dude for my brother at low level (19) so he could play with a C
hikage
at low level. Learned a lot of interesting tricks for him.

Backstab him if he goes into the power up pose (two handed Gandalf "you shall not pass" pose). He still does the new attacks but isn't buffed and bullets won't curve around him like he's out of MGS2.

Best strat post-buff is to keep a distance from him just outside of his weapon range and wait for him to come to you. If he does flying swords either shoot it, or lock off from Logarius and run a wide lap to the sword and hit it.

If he raises his scythe to shoulder level, shoot him. If he swings the sword first just back up, not worth it. If he goes to dive bomb dash forward through it as he flies toward you and hit his back. If he does the second dive where he tries to land right on top of you wait about a second or so while he's off screen and roll forward then immediately charge an R2. If done right you roll past his attack right behind him and get a free backstab.

Bait the dives, particularly the second dive. That's the secret.

What is the benefit of using Chikage at low level?

So I never found
Arianne
and I killed
Iosefka
before killing
Rom.
How hosed exactly am I for the true ending?
