Sweet, finished my first playthrough finally with the help of co-op. Seriously, fuck G
herman
! Finished at level 57 with 67 hours played, onto NG+.

No offense, but 67 hrs played and level 57? I'm at level 148 after finishing a NG+ run after 40 hrs. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just wondering how you maintained a relatively low level after having played for that long. Did you have to repeat areas for hrs and hrs to progress?

So i consumed all 3 unblical cord one after another at once. Got insights but nothing else happened ..any quest or something suppose to trigger or its all going to lead to a different ending .

There's a
decision
at the end of the game. If you want the good ending;
Refuse
.

Thanks, just killed that motherfucker!

Well, that ending... but still, I have no idea what was going on in Bloodborne most of the time to be honest. It was just overall an incredible experience. For those on the fence, give it a chance. Never played a Souls game before but it was worth it.

Yeah, I adore this game, but WTF at the story. I have no idea what's going on. Zero.

The Defiled Chalice dungeon nearly shattered my will into innumerable tiny fragments.

Persevered though! In retrospect it was the most satisfying moment of my playthrough, whilst simultaneously the most frustrating; quite a refreshing experience honestly.

...Refreshing in the same way that drinking sea water might be. The salt was tangible.

Now that I've beaten
Yharnam, Pthumerian Queen
is there much incentive to continue further with the Chalices in the way of unique content or rewards?

Nightmare Mensis question
so I stumbled across the lever that drops the giant brain, but I'm not sure how to get to it
I collected the blood rock, do I just jump down from there?

he might've leveled up his equipment. Easier to invade and coop at low levels

No don't drop down. You can get to it from the area where there are those armored dwarves. There should be a new cage lift that will take you to it.

Chalice Dungeon R is definitely harder, but appropriately harder considering you're probably higher level.

I still beat him on my third try, just like I did with the real dude... I just had a double KO this time :p

Definitely one of the easier bosses, BSB in the Hintertomb gave me more trouble lol, and that's not a particularly hard one either.

The Forbidden Woods is one of my favourite areas. It's so easy to get lost, but that's the point. I was watching Epic Name Bro go through it and the area is actually pretty small, but the way it's designed makes it twist and turn so that you'll lose your way. It does a great job of feeling like some kind of cursed forest no one should enter.

go back to the stair case where you fought the Hunter(after the spider)go down the stairs to the floor with the big lady and the shortcut elevator. There will be a small elevator next to a hole in the ground. Use it. It'll be pitch black when it opens just walk over to the brain. Killing it at first may deny you an item, not sure how spoilery you want this

Where do you find the blood rock to get your weapons to +10?

I saw someone with a big wheel. Never found that weapon at all..

The wheel is basically NG+ because you have to do weird shit with items that most people won't do (Beat
Logarius
before
Rom
).

Blood rock is near the Eye in the Nightmare.

I thought you just had to give
Alfred
the
Unopened Summons
to get the Wheel Hunter Badge

Can someone help me beat father gascoine?
Of all the plays I've watched the main mistake I see is timidity. If you stand back and try to score a few hits in once and awhile you're going to extend the amount of possible time he can kill you. Think of it as a time trial.

Generally speaking the fight is a parry check. Try and shoot out all his attacks and stay on him at all times. If he backs away dodge toward him and stay toe-to-toe. When the second form kicks in just hack him to bits. Don't try and be careful, finish him as quickly as possible.

can someone help me out with a question i have about the forgotten woods??

I've explored the whole area and gotten to the boss but I keep having to go through the whole god damn forest everytime i die at the boss. Can someone tell me in detail whats the fastest way to get to the boss from the lantern (i think I've opened up all the shortcuts). Thank you so much!

did you open the other gate that is sort of guarded by a snake man? if you stay on the right after the lamp/elevator you should come to an area where you have to drop down and theres a snake man in front of a door, thats the short way to the boss, bypassing the pigs. if you haven't opened that door, you should find it along the path to the boss once you arrive at the steps

From the lantern through the house whose door you opened, down the elevator. Run down the hill past the snake-guy, go left, but not the way up. Pass the boar until you reach the small passage where you can go left and down to the boss.

go down the elevator, run over the bridge into the building, take elevator down, run past the pigs, take left down to the boss room

I don't know where the Eye is. I want the Blood Rock so I can level my Cane to +10. I just killed M
ergo's Wet Nurse
. Do I need to go back down to the area with the iron children and look for it?

There's a place you can walk out of the cages during the long line of tiny cage shortcuts up the loft. Once you exist there and get past the brain ladies you can pull a switch to kill the brain. Then get the old iron key and go out the door it opens (I'd google it) to get there :)

I beat Rom in the Chalice dungeon fairly easily, and then ran into the Blood-Letting Beast. Holy crap, I decided to take a break after he basically 100-0'd me.

This gold trophy will be mine, dammit!

Try to stun him mid swipe with your gun

Thanks its his second form thats the problem damn hits take alot of hp. Thanks took the advice and beat his ass.

Im 8.5 hour in and Im now at the Oeden Chapel "basement" my mission is to "ascend the chapel", but
the dorr was locked so I went into the basement and popped back up near the chapel lantern with a new gate opened

I feel like I am zooming through this game...how far am I percentage-wise?

Uh... about 20%? Sounds like you beat the tutorial and explored an optional area.

Anyone have any ideas about this?
Quick question - here are my current stats and weapons (in short, I'm level 68, 24 VIT, 30 END, 19 STR & 26 SKL, and I'm using mostly Ludwig, Blade of Mercy and Kirkhammer, all of them +6, with some Saw Spear +5 here and there).

Am I overleveled for some of the bosses that I've yet to meet? I just beat
Shadow of Yharnam
and I'm currently at
Byrgenwerth
. I also finished
Nightmare Frontier, Hemwick, Old Yharnam, Cathedral Ward
, and I defeated
Darkbeast Paarl
. I have a feeling that I'm totally overleveled :/
And if you do, what should I do to slightly up the challenge? Just stop leveling my main atributes until I beat another boss or two (or four)?

That damn
martyr logarius
. He uses so much magic spells. How do I approach and beat him??

1st phase, dodge and swing a lot. By now you know how his spells each work and how to dodge them.

2nd phase, he gets a lot more aggressive and starts swinging at you. Which means he's super weak to parrys

Finally back from vacation and had a chance to put some hours into this game.

Only put in three hours or so and haven't fought any bosses. Did a lot of exploration of the first area, leveled up some and opened a couple of shortcuts. I'm about to take on the Cleric Beast and am expecting to get my ass handed to me.

Really loving the game so far. It definitely comes across as the successor to Demon's Souls in terms of atmosphere and general "feel." Too bad about the various technical aspects. It took a bit of acclimating to the low frame rate and atrocious loading times after playing Dark Souls II on the PC for so long. I may have to invest in an SSD for my PS4.

How do you know when you've finished a Chalice dungeon? I've just completed my first (I think) but I'm not sure. I beat a
huge dog thing
and then transported back to the Hunters Dream but there's no indication on the stone grave that I've finished.

I had this problem when i first played through the game. The bosses got to easy. I would stop leveling strength and skill. Being overleveled took alot of the fun away from fighting bosses for me. Now im underleveled im getting my butt whooped.

So erm M
ergo's
W
et nurse
was easy as fuck
beat it on my second try, not even a a bit of bother
not what I was expecting it to look like from the name either
