Just beat the game today and starting a a new skill/arcane character. A little pissed I can't just re-spec my strength/skill character instead for NG+ and chalice dungeons, but that's fine too.

Tried beating
matyr logarius
at lvl ~ 60. Failed. Went about playing the game. Tried about a hundred times at ~85. Failed. Went about the game. Just remembered my nemesis again at 101... Oh yeah. Kicked his ass to the kerb. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. :p

Then help me! Lol. I'm ringing my bell

Do those A
mygdala
-like enemies that spawn after R
om
disappear at any point? I want to explore Y
ahar'gul
, but it is kinda hard with them around.

Bloodletting Beast in the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice. That was some tricky stuff. Such a small arena and the thing his swings were just brutal. Glad when I finally made it.

Wow, I need to fight this monstrosity holy shit that is basically a giant leech/tapeworm with a giant werewolf body. This fucking game man.

I'm already starting NG, did some more of the chalice dungeons and found the blood echoes glitch and leveled myself up to like 168(was like, Level 120 though) I think?

I can't stop loving this game, going back through for the other endings and try out the harder chalice stuff later.

Man, typing with one hand sucks. Can't wait for my shoulder surgery to fully heal. I miss using both my hands to type!

I've just completed the game once again, with a new character.

This time I have recorded every single boss battle in the main game. If you're having trouble with a boss, it might be helptful, as I specify the weapon I'm using, how many times it was upgraded, the character's level and, most importantly, the strategy to beat each one of the main game bosses:

Now I'm working on videos to show how to perform glitches and how to unlock the shortcuts of certain areas, a run though, if you will.

Cool, thanks. Will check this out.

I'd help but I'm 90+. Can you at least get him to his second phase?
If so, backstab him as he charges his sword and he'll just be phase 1 again.

So, this memory leak thing - has it been confirmed? I've read it's not a real thing. After beating every boss I'd say sometimes they are very easy, but sometimes (replaying due to death) they can be jerks. I've noticed if I fall in close and dodge a lot, they don't have time for their other attacks.

Hardest boss for me was
Rom due to its different nature, being the spiders around him
. The last boss
wasn't hard once I realized I can just parry and stay clear of his aoe.

As for easiest bosses,
Amygdala and Ebrietas
were first try. Stay close, side step as a swing comes at you and you will go through it. Most attacks are like this.

I doubt it's actually a "memory leak" specifically, but yes, I've seen video of certain bosses acting in utterly bizarre single-minded ways that I've never seen them do in my game; and I played offline the whole time, regularly powering off my PS4.

Based on this thread, and my experience, I'd say EDOTC is widely considered one of the hardest bosses, not easiest.

I can't commit to a single weapon. Everything I have is leveled up averagely but nothing is high.

At this point I went hard in SKL but after hitting the softcap I always wuss out and lvl up something else so my weapons with a B rating in SKL aren't that powerful. Should I just max our the Reiterspallach and Cane?

Blade of Mercy has S skill scaling at level 10 which is another option. You've gotta narrow it down because there aren't enough chunks in the game and they're hard to farm and only 1 blood rock

In all honesty,.the amount of echoes you will gain in ng plus its entirely possible to max out another build. At one point in ng plus i was able to farm a million echoes in about 20 minute's time at a certain location.

Here's a story. So I'm in N
ightmare
F
rontier
, working my way through. Eventually, as usual, I get a message saying I've been invaded. That's fine, I figure I'll run into him eventually. I get to A
mygdala's
chamber and immediately recognize it as such, so I decide to go back to the lantern and use my echoes. But I can't use the lantern.....that SOB is still here and I forgot about him. So, I sit by the lantern. Eventually he comes walking around the corner. Then proceeds to get cannon'd. Echoes spend, glad he wasted his time WASTING MINE.

The hell is going on here?

Tinkering with the music box after summoning said character ;p

Then I run to Cleric Beast for the fight. Still getting used to using the share button with videos so you'll have to excuse the long video, but I put a bookmark within the link to when he's summoned :P

There's an area of the game I've been looking to find again. Every time I've played the game in the last week I've looked for this area and just haven't been able to find it. Most of the areas in this game just swim together in my head into one confusing twisted mess. Anyways it's early ish on in the game and I think it might be near a lantern. It's when you are still in Yarnam. You go from an inside area to an outside area where you turn right and then begin descending lots of steps in an outward left circle. You can see nature and forest in the distance. Eventually you hit a door, requiring some item, and your progress is blocked. It was an orange sunset when I first saw this area.

Is this the entrance to the forest? I remember getting to the forest a different way - from near the Grand Cathedral. I know this area exists I just might not be explaining it very well.

Just killed the last boss(not the third umbilical boss), on my third try, wow what an intense fight, the game is probably on my top 3 games ever, awesome game loved the last areas, anyway, how much does the game change on ng+?

Does anyone want to help me finish the final two layers of the lower Pthumeru chalice? It's late and i'm getting tired but I want to finish this chalice first. Stuck on Rom at the moment.

I would love to know aswell. If it gets too hard, I refuse to replay it lol.

So I have a pretty basic question that I probably should have asked in OT1 lol - how do you know what attacks can or can't be parried? It seems half the time I try to shoot an enemy they take the shot and hit me anyway.

Ah, it's fucking glorious.

The visuals, the sound, the thick and bone chilling atmosphere, it's simply incredible.

The combat is probably the best I've encountered in a third person action game. The fluidity, the responsiveness, it's just tweaked to perfection. This is what From have been leading up to since Demon's, it's going to be extremely difficult going back to Dark if it doesn't incorporate a lot of the changes they've made to the combat here.

And the blunderbuss. Sweet Jesus, the blunderbuss is a goddamn revelation. I initially thought I'd hate it, but after using it, I'm madly in love and again, I can't imagine going to Dark and not having the option to using this wonderful beast.

The difficulty isn't as high as I expected though. Not sure if that's my veteran Demon/Dark skills shining through, but I've only died like 8 times in the three hours I played.

I'm glad about this though, the load times are obscene. Where's that patch, FROM?

The enemies are pretty fantastic too, some really fucked up and nightmarish designs.

This is honestly FROM's best game to date. They've not only knocked it out of the park, they've outdone themselves in a way a I thought a developer never could and I don't envy the task of making Dark Souls 3 an even better game...

This is a beautiful post. A Souls fan with the balls to call it how it is -- Bloodborne is so crystal clearly From's best game that it's not even close, really. I love the Souls games (Demons Souls and Dark Souls, haven't played 2 much) but Bloodborne is the real deal. It's closer to an action game than other entries but that doesn't give me any hesitation in singing it's praises. It's also simpler. But it feels and plays the best, pure and simple, that's where the biggest strides were made. That, and the focused nature of the game world and mythos. Returning to Souls games after this belies a feeling of clunky restriction and regression. Deeper and more complex never nessecarily means better, and this is a powerful example.

All else I can say is..... DLC, please?

Bosses just do more damage and have more health. Depending on what level you finished the first playthrough at you may struggle. I started NG+ at around 80, and it didn't seem too tough really.

Definitely easier than the later pthu chalice dungeons anyway.

End-game spoilers:

Getting my arse kicked in by Gerhmann. I think I'm underleveled (~53) because I ran through the last 1/3rd of the game (literally ran straight thru). I think I missed an entire section of the game because I have no idea who Martyr Logario is or somesuch.

Gerhmann isn't the last boss, is he? If he is, I'll hold off on killing him until I explore some more.

You can summon gasgoine? The hell?

I demand to summon blood starved beast. For all the shit she's put me through the least she can do is be my pawn against other bosses.
